This is an assignment for my drama class, I just thought I would share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy it 

Buna I am Wallace-Ann, but everyone calls me Lee, Lace, or Wally. I grew up with my mother and grandfather on an isolated island. Growing up I was a happy and carefree little girl, I always found ways to entertain myself like playing outside, ninjas, or superheros. The island was not very big but it was surrounded by a forest, so it made it easy to hide me from anyone who came to visit. My grandfather wasn't really the nicest person. He would hurt me whenever I showed fear or weakness, but being isolated from society I thought that was how a man was suppose to act. Grandfather would beat me with anything that he could find laying around or he would chain me to a pole and whip me. My mother was very loving towards me especially when my grandfather hurt me. Mother would help me with the cuts, bruises, and broken bones that grandfather had inflicted on me. When I was 5 mother gave me a blankie that had my favorite DC sidekick, I called it a woobie and would have it with me all the time. Whenever grandfather saw me with my blankie, he would take it from me and claim that it was a sign of weakness. When I was 8 mother told me that if grandfather kept beating me that I would be meeting my father sooner than grandfather would like me too. Two years had past, I was now 10, grandfather would still beat me, so mother did as she said and took me to meet my father for the first time. When I first met my father I acted how would when I was around grandfather, so when father was talking to me I would look at the floor until he said to look at him. If I ever broke or dropped anything, I would go straight to my room until father came to me. I would always wait for him to beat me but he never did. Father always told me that he would never hurt me. Anytime I had my woobie and seen father I would hide it behind me, so he wouldn't take it from me. Father had caught me with my woobie a few times, but he never said anything or took it he just smiled at me.
