Tribute

School is ending and I just want to write something about it because I'm actually going to miss being in school, being a Grade 7 student.

Being a Grade 7 student means transitioning from elementary to high school. More things to handle and more stress on your shoulders. It gets really tiring at times. I remember a time that I didn't even want to go to school. The stress and anxiety caught me and I just wanted to quit. I just wanted to give it all up. I just wanted to lie in my bed and do nothing. I wanted to do that...but I knew I had to just suck it up and keep going.

I also knew that there are people there for me. This school year, I have more people that care for me. They always make me laugh and know how to make me feel better. They're there when I need them and even when I don't. We have our ups and downs but they never left. They never stopped making me happy. They became the reason why I got so excited to go to school. We help each other out and when we work together, I don't want to bring them down by not showing up. I have so many memories with them. Whether it be happy, sad, bad, funny, life changing, they're always there beside me. They've always been there through thick and thin, through the hardshios and the laughs. They're one of the best people I have in my life. I'm so grateful to meet them and to be great friends with them.

The sad thing is...I won't be seeing some if them next year. I know that people leave but, why? Gah I'm tearing up. I don't want any of them to leave. I want to keep making memories with them. I want to keep laughing with them. I want to be there for them. I might seem over dramatic because we have the internet and chatting and video calls, right? Well, them actually being there with you much better than through a screen. I'll just...miss them.

I'll miss them calling me "furattochesto-chan." I'll miss them tickling and poking my sides. I'll miss being carried. I'll miss the talk about unicorns. I'll miss the teasing we do. I'll miss the food they share, and the foid they get. I'll miss the fist bumps. I'll miss the talk about anime. I'll miss the cubbyhole we shared. I'll miss the songs we sing at the top of our lungs. I'll miss the head pats and cheek pinching. I'll miss the UNO game. I'll miss the loud noise we make when we're together. I'll miss the comforting. I'll miss the silly faces they make just to cheer me up. I'll miss the playful fights we have over the projector. I'll miss the cringey poems. I'll miss the silly dances. I'll miss the jamming sessions. I'll miss the loud guitar or ukulele or flute in class. I'll miss the smart and funny comebacks. I'll miss chasing them around the classroom. I'll miss our Grade 9 family. I'll miss the food they treat us. I'll miss the shouts. I'll miss the talk about anime. I'll miss the fangirling. I'll miss the cup noodles. I'll miss camp. I'll miss the laughs. I'll miss the fights. I'll miss the pouty faces they make. I'll miss them calling my drawings boys when they were girls. I'll miss the japanese words we say that make us weeaboos. I'll miss the deep conversations we had. I'll miss the hugs. I'll miss the "I love you" s. I'll miss the memories, all of them. I'll miss everthing about them. I'll miss them.

I'm so grateful for them. I don't even deserve them all that much. They make me so happy. They're all great people and I hope everyday they keep growing. I know this isn't goodbye. I don't want to say goodbye. So instead, I'll say, "See you soon."
