How I discovered Warriors

One day, my family and I visited a library in around 2011. I was bored, looking around for books that caught my eye. It was then I saw the Warriors books.

The first book picked up was from the Omen of Stars series, The Forgotten Warrior. When I read it, I was really confused, but I became interested and eventually, I got into the fandom.

I found the first series (It was not called the Prophecies Begin yet) during a book fair and bought all of them.

During this time, I thought of my own ideas. Most of them were cringey, but the notable cats I made up and remembered are Brownstar, Grassheart and Softpaw. Later, they became characters in my own fanfictions.

I was rather desperate to publish my fanfictions, but I couldn't figure out how until I found Wattpad. It was like a dream come true.

Of course, the first Warriors fanfiction I posted was unplanned and cringey. It was also rushed and my grammar was not that brilliant.

To this day, I still don't think my fanfictions are perfect. Despite my loss of interest in Warriors, I'm still determined to finish my fanfictions, unlike other fandoms like Undertale.

On another note, the Warriors fandom changed a lot. It was not a good change. From discussing around simple things like Scourge's collar colour to things like generics.

It was terrible, seeing people trashing Cleardawn's Silence, a book that was so well reviewed and one that I liked. I stayed out of it while people harassed others who simply do not agree with their opinions, some even going out of their way to get them banned.

Honestly, I was disgusted by what happened. I'm glad it somewhat disappeared now and I hope the fandom can take that situation with more maturity and learn from it.
