I heard of Minecraft in around 2011 from my classmates in school. I can't remember exactly what they were talking about, but I think they were discussing about TNT traps.

It sparked my interest. One day, I checked it out on Youtube, and the first channel that popped up was Sky Does Minecraft. If I'm not wrong, the first video I watched was "Hunger Games 4".

I continued to watch his videos, getting excited with each daily upload. Over time, I found more Youtubers like stampylonghead and iBallisticSquid.

CaptainSparklez's Minecraft parodies also got me more hooked into the game itself.

Eventually, I got Minecraft in 28 December 2013. I remembered that it was late at night and I had to wait until tomorrow to play it.

I enjoyed Minecraft with my siblings, finding servers like Mineplex and The Hive. However, the most impactful server I went on is a server called Moderncraft.

When my sibling and I joined, I was surprised to be welcomed (I didn't get that when joining bigger servers). We met great people like Notch (not the Notch, if you get I mean) and Megan, who were the first few we met.

We also met and talked to the admin, Slimkutta (I was also surprised by this too) and made a lot of great memories. However, life happened, with school and examinations, time on Moderncraft had to be cut short.

Currently, the server is down, but I hope that one day, I could join it again, and relive those memories.
