I'm not sure if a meteor will fall, a zombie or rage virus will destroy humanity, or if a world war three will plunge the world into a nuclear winter in my lifetime, but I've been so interested and paranoid about that stuff my whole life, that I've planned for it... A lot...... So, without further wait, except for as I'm saying this, here's how I'm planning on living a while longer, like the weird, possibly insane but hopefully not person I am.

Zombies/Rage Disease

Okay, so I know this is a comin subject, and lot's of people say that zombies and/or rage diseases are impossible, but please read this first, although if you're as interested in this stuff as I am, you may have already heard of this.

So, how would a zombie or rage disease come into existence you may ask? Well, most likely it would either be a mutation in an already present disease, or it would be a man made disease. Either way, with how ruthless nature is, and how terrible, crazy, and cool science can be, I'd say both are pretty realistic. Most likely though, whether the disease would be naturally or man made, it would be based off of another thing.

My first example, is rabies. So, I know that rabies only seriously effects animals mentally. But, what if that disease could spread fast, and effect people just like animals? The way this would be done, is by crossing a highly contagious disease, such as the flu, with rabies. This isn't quite possible yet, which is definitely a good thing, but one day, I'm sure some smart but still insane and unethical human beings will succeed. If you want an example of what this would be like, watch shows like Helix or The Walking Dead, or movies such as I Am Legend or World War Z.

The second example, is a mushroom... Please don't laugh, this is serious!!! I typed this before anyone read it, and I know at least one person is going to laugh. Any who, I'm going to give a definitely serious example to show you how creepy a mushroom can be. Have you ever worried about mind control? Well, in the case of you being an ant, you wouldn't. You see, there's this little type of mushroom, that starts out as a spore. This spore goes into the ant. After a while, it gets into that ants brain. This type of mushroom actually can "control" the ants brain, by sending chemical and electrical signals. The ant itself kind of goes to sleep, so it's technically sleep walking. So, every night, the ant slowly staggers out of its nest like a zombie. Then, it climbs onto a blade of grass, and it releases spores. It continues this every night, but during the day it seems perfectly normal, and the mushroom doesn't control it. Little does it, or anyone or anything else know, that the mushroom is still growing, inside the ants head. One night, the mind controlled ant is on the grass as usual. All of the sudden, it's head literally splits open, and the mushroom comes out. More spores than ever spread, infecting more ants. Sorry if that freaks or grosses you out, but it's a real true thing. So, that effects ants. So who's not to say another version of that mushroom couldn't infect people? Maybe the spores won't effect people as fast if it's air born, so instead, it makes those people mad, so they claw and bite at everyone. There you go. An example from a popular videogame is The Last Of Us, which is pretty good.

So how do I plan on surviving this? Like all the other things that will be happening everywhere if they ever happen, I'll be up at Houghton Lake. There aren't many people, there are lots of deer and Turkey, and if this stuff is air born, there are lots of trees to block or at least slow down the wind. If the apocolypse happens, just come here to Houghton Lake. Don't worry, I won't shoot, or attack, or eat you. I'm only going to fight someone if they attack me first. And even if you do attack me, I'll try not to kill you. People do crazy things in crazy times. Some people will probably think that they can't trust anyone, when in fact they could be restarting civilization if they just got along with everyone. Enough said.

Cannibals

This sort of is the same as the other thing, but it needs to be said.

So let's say that everywhere food and sanity is scarce. Isn't it obvious that there will be those who resort to eating people??? Now, I don't know specifically what you should do if you have to confront a cannibal, but I do know how you can make sure not to get to close to one that's far away. The signs are a twitching, staggering walk. If you see someone like this, it either means they're starving, dieing, a cannibal, or a zombie... Or all of the above I guess. I wouldn't take any chances though.

Nuclear Winter

I'm going to start by saying how this would happen.

It's either going to be some crazy guy in another country, a dumb guy who accidentally started world war three by pressing a button to send missiles towards someone, or it's gonna be over a country that hasn't payed money to another country or countries, which is where I'm pointing at America, my own country, which just happens to owe money!

So let's say a lot of nuclear bombs explode. This bombs send radioactive waste and dust from the ground into the air and atmosphere. In turn, this blocks oh the suns light and cools the temperature of the Earths surface. Then, animals start dieing, and the animals depending on them die, and so on. Worst of all for people is the radiation. If you survived explosions, good for you. If you survived starvation, great job! If you survived sub zero temperatures, give yourself a pat on the back!!! Now, all you need to do is avoid air......... Ya, nice knowing you!!!

If you don't get what I mean, you're about to. Countless times as nuclear reactors blew up, or bombs vaporized cities, there were still those that were alive. Usually not for long though. Picture billions and billions of microscopic pins, needles, and knives, all of which are extremely hot, falling onto your skin. Yep, your going to feel that in the morning. And the one after that. Actually your going to feel it for the rest of your life... I'll explain more.

So pretty much, when those burning needles land on your skin, they literally char and burn all of the skin on your everywhere including your face black, like wood in a fire place. This immediately falls off in flakes, along with some of your hair, and you've got a burning pain, again, everywhere. Later on, you might puke or spas out a lot. Eventually if you make it through a lot of flu like symptoms, you'll probably grow your hair and skin back, although it will be so week that if you touch it, it will fall off regardless of it's normal appearance. You'll also probably need a cane because the radiation made your muscles and bones weaker, so you need the support. Even so, this kind of recovery takes years upon years, so the chances of looking normal again, or even surviving, are small.

So how do you even survive any of this? Either go somewhere underground, somewhere away from the mushroom clouds, such as ommish country, or somewhere where something, such as a mountain or mountains is blocking the wind. If you can survive about a decade in the ice age like environment, you may live to look normal, possibly grow crops and domesticate surviving animals, rebuild civilization, and see the rising or setting sun, because a nuclear winter would last about a decade at the least possibly. Now the human race only needs to stay in safe zones for another ten thousand years, because that's how long it takes nuclear waste to be safe to be around. Good luck humanity. You'll need it for a very, very long time.
