♦ Take A Moment ♦

I found something out about somebody today. They may be close to me, they may be not. What matters is that I want them to know they matter. I could never tell them to the face with a million words, on a big text, on a call, on a big piece of paper... No, it would never be enough. I have so much to say to this person, but I don't want to scare them with how much I care.

I want to start by saying, I'm not perfect. Neither am I utterly flawed. I'm just a person. I make mistakes, I say the wrong  things once in a while, I don't know much about the world, but I have so many messages for the people out there.

Whether they're famous, troubled, happy, average, strange, rich, poor, grateful, greedy, or any other characteristic possible.

But, this person, I want them to know this.

Let's call them One.

Dear One,

I am so sorry for all the times I was acting like a poop. I am so glad for all the times you made me laugh. Even more glad to have met you.

Whatever the world is forcing upon you, I know you're going to be strong and carry these burdens proudly without letting them crush you. But, I'm here because I want to make sure you do just that.

Your future may not look very bright to you at the moment, or maybe it does. Maybe you've decided to fight from now on. Maybe you're still hurt and you don't know what to do. Just know that even if everything seems bad, there's always a better time ahead. Your life is built upon your own choices and only yours.

It doesn't matter what others say. We are all different individuals and we have different dreams, ideas and thoughts. The people trying to decide your life just have a different view of the world. They are stuck in their own perspective and you are not planning on changing your own perspective, either.

What I believe is that, at the end of the day, none of us have a proper purpose on this Earth. It is a depressing idea, it is, but it's mine. You may not believe in that, but I do. I also believe that we should, since we have no proper purpose, enjoy our lives and every second within it.

The world has been forever changing and so have the people around us. The culture, the land, the skies, the soil, the air, the way of life... It's all changed, still changing and won't stop changing. Some of us may still have the ideas of someone from the far past and we may be discriminated for this by the people of the present, but why should that effect them? If you lead your own life, nothing will happen to you or anyone else. It is not compulsory for you to have a good education, neither to be happy, neither to be sad, neither to be anything. For all I believe, you do not have to do anything in life.

We were born without a purpose, so we have created our own purpose. Humanity has managed to make everyone feel as if they need to do something or they won't be satisfied. It has managed to make people feel that they have to get a good job, earn money, make a family, be happy, live healthy and many other things.

Now, don't get me wrong. Don't go rebelling against the people who love you just because you have a different perspective... That's not what I'm saying you should do.

I'm saying that when you grow up, you'll have a will. A will to do something. A dream. A goal. Whatever you want to call it. When you grow you'll know what you want for a future. Until then, you must hold on and do what's best.

Our parents and our guardians, they are the ones who shape us and prepare us for the future. But, don't let them decide a solid future for you. For now, follow them. They are the people who are there to lead you into your future. They have lived for longer and they know more than you do. All of their choices are weighed against their experiences and they have made these decisions while having their reasons. They don't do things without having an idea of what their doing. Maybe they're not sure about what they're doing, but they definitely do what they feel is best.

One day, you'll be all grown up and your future will be completely in your hands despite anything anyone says.

Hang in there. Your future awaits you. Whatever happens is supposed to happen. Maybe this is a test? Maybe this is life making sure your ready for what's ahead? Maybe this is nothing, but a stepping stone to something much bigger? All the expectations of your superiors are hard to fulfil when it is the complete opposite of your own expectations for yourself, I understand that, but it's the way it is right now. Hang in there, okay?

I know this is what everyone says, but really, I mean it when I say it'll all be fine.

And well, if you don't feel that way when the future does arrive, just know that you're never alone. You'll have someone to confide in all the time. For this part of your life, I'm one of those people... Hopefully...
