Now as a huge fan of the original Death Note you must be expecting my reaction to this movie. That it sucks, it's as bad as Dragon Ball Evolution, or something along those lines. I actually enjoyed the live action Death Note and I liked how close they stuck to the original source material. Now while I do have some problems with a few of the names, such as Light now being Light Turner, and some character changes. Overall I enjoyed the movie to the end. The actor who played L was a genuine thrill to watch and truly brought the character to life in the movie. Don't listen to what people say, they think it's the next Dragon Ball Evolution, but the difference is here is that you can tell some real effort went into making this movie and it shows. I won't spoil what happens but I'll tell you a few things they get spot on. Light is still (technically) a genius with high grades, Light's father is a police officer, Light find the Death Note at school and that such. Now I can tell that they had to leave out a lot since they had to fit the movie down to only 2 hours but it was really nice to watch. I won't tell you what to think about it but I think you should watch it and see what you think about it.
