People always told Benjamin that he was spoiling his son. They said that his son is too soft and not ready for the real world. However, Benjamin, the kind of diamonds, didn't care about what they thought of him. Neptune was a very friendly, hopeful, and happy boy. No matter the outcome, he would always think optimistically.

Today was going to be the great day for Neptune. Benjamin was going to do so much fun things with him. First, Benjamin had invited Timmy and Rigel to hangout with him. He saw Sammy- Timmy's mother, and Gregson- Rigel's older brother, drop the boys off.

Neptune smiled when he saw the boys. "Timmy! Rigel!" Neptune opened his arms out for a hug.

Timmy grabbed Rigel's hand so he wouldn't run into a wall. He led him to Neptune before they gave the boy a hug. Benjamin smiled softly at the boys, they reminded him of his friends. He sighed and then said, "Alright boys, we'll head off to the beach. I hope you brought your swimsuits and put on sunscreen."

Benjamin took them to the beach, that was near the castle, after having the boys put on swimsuits and sunscreen. The beach was normally crowded but today he cleared it out, and had only members and allies of his kingdom come to the beach. There standing were Leroy and Chance. They smiled at Benjamin and greeted him and the boys. As the boys went off to play in the sand the three kings had a conversation.

"You know, Benjamin, people aren't wrong... You do spoil your son a lot. Now I don't want to tell you how to raise your kid, I just don't want him to become a spoiled brat," Leroy sighed.

"I hate to admit it but he isn't wrong. Your kid should have some kind of back bone, he's getting bullied at school because he's super soft and friendly. Benjamin, people are going to tear your son apart," Chance frowned.

Benjamin looked at the and nodded, "I know. I just want him to live a better life than I did."

"Your kid is living in this fantasy world where everyone and everything is just peaches and cream, just tell him the truth," Leroy huffed at blonde.

They stopped their conversation when they saw the boys walked up to them.

"Daddy! Can you take us swimming? You said that you would!" Neptune asked.

Benjamin smiled and nodded. He led the boys to a dock where they can go swimming. The other two kings followed behind him. Benjamin turned into a mersiren (hybrid of mermaid and siren) and Neptune turned into a mermaid, he couldn't swim but at least he can breath underwater. For everyone else, they wore necklaces that gave the power to breath underwater. Then they dived into the water and began to swim to the reef.

For a good while they swam around the reef. They went back to the beach when some of the fishes started to bite and tug on their clothes. Once the group of boys dried off, they headed to the bakery Neptune loves going to.

A young grandma looked up from the counter and smiled when she saw some familiar faces. "Why isn't my favorite customers, what can I do for you, your majesty?" She asked in a sweet tone.

"Hello Ms. Sweeney, I just came by here to see if my friends, my son and his friends could get some sweets," Benjamin smiled.

"Well of course they can, go ahead have a pick!" Said the old lady.

The kids and other kings went to see what they want to get. While they did that, the lady looked at Benjamin and frowned.

"How much time do you have left?" She whispered.

"...Not much, " Benjamin sighed.

"What are you gonna do with Neptune since he won't see you anymore?" She asked.

"Well I already told my guide, my servants, my maids, and the priestess about what's going to happen. They're preparing everything. All I can do now is..spend as much time with my son as I can."

The boys were done picking out the sweets, Benjamin and the other two kings paid for the sweets before they left the bakery with the kids. Benjamin looking at the sky, it evening now. It was time that Rigel and Timmy head home. The boys went to the castel and two cars pulled up.

"Alright Timmy, Rigel, it's time that you two went home. Say your goodbyes," Benjamin said.

Timmy hugged Neptune goodbye and went to Sammy's car. Sammy and her friend were waiting for Timmy to get in. Rigel told Neptune goodbye before hugging him. Gregson helped Rigel into the car and they drove away.

Sammy looked at Neptune and then Timmy. "How about give your friend one last hug?"

Timmy nodded and went to Neptune, and before he left he said, "Good...bye."

Everyone looked at Timmy in disbelief. The kid spoke and those where his first words. Sammy smiled and gave Timmy as noogie before she drove off with him.

Benjamin smiled and looked at Neptune, "Let's go ahead and get some dinner, " He took his son to the dining room room of the castle, where Chance and Leroy were waiting.

The food wasn't fancy or anything like that. For Neptune it was his favorite meal, Dino nuggets, apples, and some chocolate milk. Delicious, I wish I had some Dino nuggies- Anyway, for the adults it was teriyaki chicken, rice, some green onions, and some alcohol BUT not too much. They ate their savory dinner before finishing up. Leroy looked at Benjamin.

"Are we gonna talk about the thing when you're finished tucking your son in for bed?" He asked Benjamin.

Benjamin nodded before getting up, and getting behind Neptune's wheelchair. "What thing daddy?"

"Well...we're going to talk about how we're going to make some on my helpers put on a special ceremony," He said as he pushed the wheelchair towards Neptune's room.

"Really? What are you gonna make them do?" Neptune asked.

"It's a... secret, but you'll find out soon," Benjamin sighed softly as he walked into Neptune's room.

The room was beautiful, the walls were painted, by Benjamin himself, a very beautiful sea theme. The chandelier glistened and the lights gave off a cute baby blue color. Neptune's bed was big and the thick blankets had mermaid and merman patterns on it.

Benjamin picked Neptune up off the wheelchair and tucked him into bed.

"Daddy!" Neptune called out.

"Yes son?" Benjamin looked at Neptune.

"Can you read me a bedtime story?"

"Which one Neptune?"

"The little mermaid!" Neptune smiled as he got his music box.

"But you've heard the story 100 times," Benjamin chuckled lightly as he got the book out from the bookshelf.

"But I love it, pleaaaassse tell me the story," the boy gave his father puppy dog eyes.

"Fine, " Benjamin rolled his eyes and turned to the first page.

Neptune let the music box melody play. He loved playing the melody as he read the story. It was a gift from Benjamin's spirit guide. She was just as lovely as the melody the music box played.

Benjamin cuddled with his sleepy son and began to read the story. Neptune sighed tiredly as he listened to the melody and sunk into the bed.

It was about 10 minutes later and  Benjamin had finished reading the story. The melody finally stopped, sadly it wasn't the only thing that had stopped...
Benjamin looked at Neptune, his son was no longer breathing and his heart had stopped breathing.

Neptune had died, but he died happy and in his father's arms.
