This is a horror au containing gore and such... be aware.

When if sirens and mermaids had a strong hate towards humans. Would you blame them for their dislike towards them? Would you blame them for killing any human that trespassed into their territory?

One gloomy night, on a day of thunder and rain, a women and her baby were trying to escape from soldiers. The woman was poor and had stolen some goods to feed her weeping child. However, she was caught and the only thing she could do...was run. She had stolen a small sail boat and sailed out to the sea to escape from the men. She hoped to find a safe place to dock- unfortunately ,because of the storm, the waves had knocked her down. Her and her child, had drowned...sinking into the sea.

A siren, a queen, just happened to be swimming be when she saw the two. She swam to the woman and looked at the child. The baby was beautiful, and she wanted him to be one of her own since she could not have a kid herself. The queen knew that the child was no longer living but she could revive him with her magic. She took the baby and snuck him into the castle. No humans were allowed, but she knew how to trick her people into thinking that he was one of them.

She went to her husband, who was a mermaid, and they both preformed the 'ritual' to bring the child back and to make him a mermaid/siren. They sung a song as they the sea magic work through the baby's body. The baby came to life, and had become a beautiful hybrid of a siren and mermaid. What made things better, was that people saw him as a true sea hybrid. The kingdom had a new prince, and his name was Benjamin.

Years later, Benjamin was around 13 years old. He was very beautiful to his people, it wasn't his hair, eyes, or clothes that made him look super stunning. It was his tail and scales, and how they glimmered and captured the northern lights in them. It's almost like looking into space. His parents would give him gifts and boast about his beauty. His mother even gave him a necklace that could make him turn into a human.

"Be wise with the power I gifted you, and don't use it around your people," His mother told him.

Benjamin nodded and took her advice. He smiled as he went to explore his kingdom. People would greet the teenager and some kids would hang out with him. Most people in the kingdom loved him.

However, some people heavily envied the boy. They want Benjamin to be an abomination. They wanted to have his beauty for themselves...or at least make sure that they make him less beautiful. So, they tried to find a way to sabotage him. Some of the sea people stalked Benjamin when they saw him swim towards the shore of a nearby beach.

Benjamin used the necklace and turned into a human. The envious people were surprised. They no longer believed that the boy and the rulers were one of them. They silently triumphed and waited for the boy to return.

Blah blah blah- Hours later, Benjamin turned back into a sea hybrid (sirenmaid or whatever), and he traveled back to his kingdom. Before the boy could even get to his castle, he got snatched up by one of the townspeople. Merpeople and sirens took notice, they formed a crowd.

"My fellow civilians, our rulers have been keeping a deceitful secret from you. They have been hiding a human in sea hybrid's clothing. This child you call 'prince' is FAKE! I can prove my claim to you!" The woman shouted before taking the confused male to the surface. Benjamin didn't understand what was happen, and he was frightening. He didn't even know that he was a human. He saw his parents swimming after him. They were scared that the townspeople found out their secret. The mermaid threw Benjamin onto a rock near the shore of the nearest beach. She saw Benjamin and how he turned back into a human, so she used the necklace's power to turn him into a human. The townspeople and some of the castle's staff gasped in horror and looked at the two rulers, they too were frightened...but only for their child and what would happen to him. The civilians grew anger, they thought of them as a traitor to their kind and decided to chase to king and queen. Benjamin quickly turned back into a hybrid so that he could get away. Unfortunately, two sirens grabbed onto the blonde and held him in place so that the rest of the remaining civilians could punish the boy unfairly.

They used their claws, knifes, whatever they had to slice up Benjamin skin. Cuts went from his face to his tail, and his screams filled the air before falling quiet again. And before he could pass out from pain, trauma, and blood loss. A mermaid chopped off his tail, the boy couldn't scream. He just gasped and choked before dying in vain.

Benjamin, now a ghost that was about to get reincarnated, looked at his limp body. This was very unfair, even he didn't know what he really was. He didn't deserve to die for being what he was. All he could think about was one thing before he gets reincarnated...revenge. He wants the get revenge on those who betrayed him. He wanted them to suffer like he did.

But... that wish will have to wait, for he now has a new life as a human child.
