- reclusive, eccentric, somewhat temperamental, hardy, can be pessimistic, wary of strangers, and like Halvard doesn't exactly act like an elder brother all the time. (Meaning he can be somewhat childish in his temper tantrums at times).
- though he acts otherwise in reality deep down he secretly wants to have good relations with at least his family. Though the feeling that he has to be strong and not show weakness gets in the way of this. However, to those he cares about the signs are there in the small things.
- as tough as he tries to act he can be somewhat emotionally sensitive at times.
- though with being a country made up of islands one would think otherwise, Steinarr actually can't swim very well.
He has Thalassophobia, something brought upon by a fear sharks and the unseen that lurk in depths below.
- he owns quite a collection of weapons and knows how to use them all. Though what he carries around with him most is a Seax, a type of short sword with a broadened blade worn at the hip.

His personal blade (not the above image) is decorated with traditional ancient Scandinavian patterns and swirls, as is the sheath, and carved into the blade itself is the blade's name written in ancient runes (they have no magic, they're just letters).
- he is unable to use magic himself, though has never been bold enough to try magical artifacts or objects, and feels inadequate for it. Though he'd never say so outright.
And though he'd never admit it he does secretly love to watch others use magic, as it fascinates him so.
