Once upon a time ... a twelve-year-old was attending drama on a Monday night, and was trying to sing the song Hakuna Matata from the Lion King, cause she has a solo in it. She failed miserably because:

1. Everyone fails miserably on their first attempt to sing a song they never heard before.

2. The song is supposed to make people remember YOLO and be happy, but makes me cringe at some point. Specifically at this speaking part:

YOUNG SIMBA: I'm so hungry, I could eat a whole zebra!

TIMON (Me): Uh ... we're fresh out of zebra.

YOUNG SIMBA: Any antelope?

TIMON (Me): No.

YOUNG SIMBA: Hippo?

TIMON (Me): Nuh-uh. Listen kid, if you're gonna live with us, you're gonna have to eat like us. 

aND HerE cOmEs tHe GROSS ParT

TIMON (Me): *pops a bug into mouth* Ya see? Delicious! It tastes just like chicken!

-Admin speaking again-

Okay first of all, I'm pretty sure scruffy little cartoon meerkats have never even tasted chicken before, let along compared it to beetles. THEY LIVE IN THE WILD SAVANNAS OF AFRICA, FOR GOD'S SAKE! And further more, THEY LIVE INSIDE A MOVIE NETWORK TOO!

Plus, eating bugs are downright gross too. I don't see how little kids don't get that, but at least I now understand where this eating-bugs-that-taste-like-so-called-chicken chain came from.

Now, moving on to number 3: TIMON WOULDN'T LET PUMBAA TALK ABOUT PASSING GAS! Dude, YOUNG SIMBA just saw his dad flipping die. IT'S OKAY TO TALK ABOUT FARTING! Are we cool? Good.

AND HE ALSO BROKE THE FOURTH WALL AS WELL! 

Okay, I'm done with my drama rants. On to a couple days after this event happened, aka today, where I came home from school with my progress report. You wouldn't believe what happened ...

I. GOT. STRAIGHT A'S.

I almost NEVER get straight A's for all four main subjects, and I strongly suspect that this incident occurred because:

1. This card probably came out a couple days before today, where my grades were still a bit up before the went downhill a little bit.

2. My ELA is at 100% since MY TEACHER ONLY GRADED ONE SINGLE ASSIGNMENT WITH A FULL SCORE! Thanks, I strongly appreciate it.

3. I did the extra credit on all my Spanish tests, so it's at 102%. Actually, I think every kid who does Spanish has an above grade level grade cause it's super easy. WE SOMETIMES DON'T EVEN HAVE TO ANSWER IN COMPLETE SENTENCES!

4. I got a 49 out of 50 for my math unit test, the second highest score. (The first was a 50 out of 50.) Not to brag. Well, actually, you might think I'm bragging. *sigh* You're right. I am bragging. I'm sorry; it's just that this doesn't happen on a daily basis, so I'm super hyped.
