(sorry I haven't posted in a little while, I've just been busy with stuff.*cough* *cough* Fair *cough* *cough*. But hey! Fair rants will be started back up again in a couple of weeks soo yay!)

     If you didn't know at first, the wild horses were being rounded up because farmers were complaining that the wild horses were eating all of the grassland that they needed for their cattle.

     So, instead of telling the farmers to deal with it, the government decided it was a better idea to just round them up.

     Some horses got adopted, but the rest were sent across the border, to go to slaughterhouses.
    
     I was so happy when I learned that slaughterhouses were banned, and we were so close to banning them in Mexico and Canada, but now all that was thrown out the window.
    
     And that is exactly what I'm writing about.

     So the news has been blowing up. Apparently, the government wants to make horse slaughter plants LEGAL IN THE UNITED STATES!

     So instead of having to smuggle horses across the borders, now people can legally go and drop off horses.

     So now the BLM (the people who rounded them up) is going to get even more money, and more horses are going to be rounded up and sent to slaughter.

     But even worse, the racing industry is going to be getting rid of more horses. Now they can just throw away more than they already were.

     But just think, horses have helped tremendously on building this country. (If you live across the lake I'm sure they helped there too) They pulled our cannons, carried our troops, and made so many people's lives better.

     So, if horses have given so much for us, why can't we give back to them? Let them run free, or give them a good and safe home?

     Because money. The government is so focused on money. They put blinders on, and they don't realize what they're doing.

     To them, money is the only thing that matters. Money this, money that. I'm not saying that money is bad, money is great! But, when you focus too much on it, you find yourself doing things that are very bad.

     I really don't know how to end this, I can't say "vote no on issue whatever" (because this is something that's just gonna be legal) Goodbye everybody!
