So in 1978 or something, NASA decided to send a satellite called ICE into orbit around earth, before they decided to fling it away in 1988. So after a few mishaps, they managed to send it away. The last time Earth was going to talk to it, was in 1999, but the engineer running it forgot to tell it to stop talking to them. It spent 9 years alone trying to send messages to NASA, but nobody was listening. But in 2008, the guy who built it, found out that it was about to pass Earth, and he got contact with it. They tried to sent commands to bring it back, but in 2014, it ran out of fuel, and is now in an unknown orbit. THE END
