As the Squid Boy laughed as he swam deeper back into the pond. Jerome fainted with a thump. Adam ( Sky ) was released by whatever held him back and ran to Jerome holding him. " Jerome! Come on wake up! " Jerome stayed limp, but was breathing. Adam sighed and carried Jerome bridal style to his home.

~ Time Skip ~

Adam unlocked his door and walked in with Jerome still in his arms. He placed Jerome down on his couch and went to close the door. A small groan came from the couch. Adam snapped his head to the couch and hurried to it. " Jerome what were you thinking?! You could have been killed! A-And look at yourself now! " Adam yelled almost about to cry. Jerome stared at him with innocent eyes. He lowered his head in shame.

A knock was heard from the door and Adam went to get it. Jerome sat up looking at his new colored skin and texture. He smiled. " Ooh! Hey T-Ty! " Adam stuttered. " Adam what did you do and how did you fuck it up? " Ty said with no amusement. Adam sighed and pointed to the couch. " Jerome was being a dumb ass and changed himself into a human.. " Jerome looked over and glared at Adam. When he tried to argue back nothing came out of his mouth. Ty and Adam looked at him confused. Adam instantly remembered.

" And with that he gave up his voice for his human body.. " Ty looked very disappointed. All Jerome did was frown. " Let's go to the base. Maybe Seto can help his voice and body.. Come on Jerome let's go.. " As Jerome got off the couch he heard something hurtful. " And along with it help him. " Jerome couldn't tell who said it, but it hurt him. 

~ Time Skip ~

They arrived at the Team Crafted Base Gates. By the side was a small box with a button. Th pushed the button and a voice came through. " Yes ? Hello?" "Seto it's Ty let us in! " A buzzing sound echoed and the gates opened. All 3 males walked in. Jerome was last feeling guilty of his stupid actions, but it would wear off in 3 days.  I can at least try... Nothing is wrong with trying right? 'A sly smile tugged at his lips. 

Adam turned around. " What's with the smile? " He asked. His tone had a mix of harshness and caring. Jerome blinked and wiped his smile off and shook his head. Adam brushed it off. As they entered Seto greeted them with his weak voice and a blanket covering him. " Hey Seto how are you fe- " Seto's eyes changed to a misty purple and his hands glowed.

 "  WHO IS HE! " Anger was full in his tone and his voice echoed demonically. Jerome looked up in fear and put his hands up. " Seto! It's Jerome! He changed himself! " Seto calmed down, but fell to the floor coughing. Adam went by his side. " S-Sorry...  What do you need --- Help with? " He coughed. " Do you have anything for his problem? " Seto went close to Jerome and put his hand on his forehead. 

 He closed his eyes and focused. The room was silents and suspenseful. Seto opened his eyes and slapped Jerome. " You idiot! You made a deal with Orson the squid! " Jerome rubbed his cheek. A red glow appeared on it. " I can't reverse the spell... " Seto sighed. Adam and Ty gasped. " Don't worry it should go away in three days.. " 

Seto coughed and sniffled. " Oh and sorry Jerome.. " Seto rubbed his hands together and blew a powder from it and it landed on Jerome's face. He sneezed. The red glowing hand mark vanished and it didn't sting anymore. " Now Adam Ty help me to bed please.. " Seto fainted and both Adam and Ty caught him.

 " Jerome go to your room and lock yourself there till you turn back.. " Ty said and walked away with Seto's arm around his shoulders. Jerome's jaw dropped.  Stay in my room for 3 whole days?! I. Am. Calling. Bull. Shit.  Jerome frowned and walked into the kitchen. He went to the fridge and opened the door. He grabbed a quick apple and was about to leave when. " Don't. Take. Another. Step. " 

Mitch growled at Jerome. He held his bow ready to strike. " Who are you? " Jerome tried to speak, but failed. He pointed to his throat. Mitch glared more and pulled the arrow back further. " Answer me.. " Jerome grabbed his throat. " I. Said. ANSWER ME! " The sound of thumping of the stairs was loud and fast. " Mitch?! " 

 Oh no! There gonna blow it for me!  Jerome snapped his head toward the sound. Mitch let the arrow go and it went past Jerome only slicing his cheek. " Damnit... " Mitch muttered and went to get another arrow from his back. " Mitch! Stop! " Adam tackled him down. Ty ran in second and saw me. Jerome made a ' be quiet ' cut by his throat. Ty nodded and examined Jerome's cut cheek. It stinged a lot for him and made him flinched.

" Adam who is he?! " Adam smiled nervously. " He is a friend from the forest. His name is Jer-James! " Adam hurried it along and helped Mitch up.  Mitch blushed of embarrassment. " I-I'm so sorry! " He went to Jerome and looked at his cheek. " I am really sorry! I'll help you get bandaged up! Come with me! " Mitch grabbed Jerome's wrist and pulled him to his room. Adam chuckled and Ty looked at him confused. " I'll explain everything later... " Adam said softly.

Mitch sat Jerome on his bed and closed his door. " Ok.. Let me see your cheek again. " Mitch grabbed his chin softly and  made Jerome eye contact with him. He looked at the cut. The cut was somewhat deep, but not to deep. " I'm shocked you haven't whimpered or yelped... " Jerome gave a sly smile. 

Mitch went to his bathroom to get some medical supplies. Jerome felt so happy inside. No not happy excited inside. He couldn't explain it, but it was a wonderful feeling. Mitch came back in and placed the medical supplies on a bedside table. He took some clean alcohol and dabbed it with some cotton. He gentle swiped the cut. Jerome flinched and lock his jaw tight. " So... Can you talk? " Mitch asked. 

Jerome shook his head. " That's ok James! We don't have a friend named James, so your the first. " Mitch giggled a little which made Jerome's heart skip a beat. Mitch grabbed some gauze and rubbed it gently on Jerome's cheek. " Well I am Mitchell, but please think of me as Mitch. " Jerome nodded. Mitch put a band aid on his cheek. 

" Again I am really sorry... Can you forgive me? " Jerome smiled and hugged Mitch. " I'll take that as a yes! " Mitch hugged back. " But... You look familiar.... " Mitch let go looking at Jerome's eyes. " I know those eyes anywhere... " Mitch muttered. Jerome panicked. Uh oh... I'ma have to do a lot of explaining... " Hey Mitch and James! " Adam barged into the room. Mitch jumped and landed on Jerome's lap. 

They both looked at each other and blushed. Mitch got off quickly and apologized. Jerome just smiled shyly. " Well it's night time and it's time for bed.. Good night love birds! " Ty said and walked out with Adam. " Hehe... Sorry about that again... I'll show you The Guest Room.. Now that I think of it where is Jerome? His room is right next to it.. " Mitch muttered the last two part. 

Mitch led Jerome to his room. " Here you go. I don't think Jerome would mind a neighbor for tonight.... Goodnight James... " Mitch shut the door. Jerome mentally sighed. He knows Mitch is gonna worry for his bacca, but soon he will love him soon.

Mitch knocked on Ty's door. " Oh hi Mitch what's up? " Ty asked. " Do you know where Jerome is? I'm kinda worried for my bacca... " Ty smirked. " Ooh.. Your bacca? Never knew... " Mitch blushed and glared. " You know what I mean Ty... But seriously where is he? " Ty started to panic for an idea. " I.. Uh... I-I-" " He ran away.. " Adam said from behind.

Mitch's eyes widen. " W-Why would h-he run away? " He stuttered. " The last thing he told me was ' I'm leaving because I don't need a Team.. But mostly him.. ' So I let him go.. " Adam said calmly. He tried something that will make Mitch want his cuddly bacca back. Making him realize he loves Jerome. " You... YOU LET HIM LEAVE! " Mitch yelled tears threatening out of his eyes. " Adam! " Ty yelled. 

Adam backed away. " He said that he doesn't want to be in the Team and mostly him! Let him go Mitch! That's how he- " " Who! Who doesn't he want to see?! " Mitch yelled. Adam stay silent. " That's non of your business.. " Ty said. " You knew too! " Mitch cried. Adam and Ty stayed silent. " I hate both of you! " Mitch ran away crying. He ran back to his room. He slammed his door and fell to the ground crying. 

The door opened slowly. " Go away Adam! Or Ty! " Mitch cried. The door closed, but footsteps were near Mitch. Mitch looked up to see James. Jerome frowned and knelt down next to him. He pulled Mitch into his lap and let Mitch cry into his chest. " I'm sorry James... " Jerome rubbed soothing circles on his back.

About a couple minutes later soft and gentle snoring was heard from the crying boy. Jerome smiled and leaned down to give Mitch a quick peak on the forehead. Jerome picked him up carefully and set him on his bed. " Don't leave me..... Biggums... " Mitch slurred in his sleep. Jerome smiled in satisfaction. He went on the opposite side of Mitch and laid down.

He couldn't believe he is going to fall asleep with his crush. His Biggums.

~ Time Skip To The Next Morning Day 2 ~

Mitch felt warmer than usual. He opened his eyes slowly and looked up. James was spooning him and keeping him close. Mitch blushed. " J-James... " He whispered. Mitch couldn't help, but love this moment. He knows this ' James person ' is fake. It's someone else that he knows and loves. Loves? Maybe if I can get a closer look at his eyes again may-  

Jerome opened his eyes to see Mitch blushing pure red cuddling into his chest.  He is into a deep thought....  Jerome let go of Mitch and sat up. Mitch looked at James much better now. His amazing tan, he has some muscle, and cute messy hair. Mitch shook his head. He had a girlfriend for God Sake. 

" M-Morning James... " Mitch stuttered and mentally face palmed. Jerome smiled and waved. Mitch's heart skipped a beat. This is how he felt when he met Ashley, but not as powerful as how James made him feel. " Let's go down to get something to eat. I am starving! " Mitch said and jumped out of bed. Jerome fist bumped the air and walked with Mitch to the kitchen. While they walked Mitch stopped.

Jerome lightly tapped on Mitch's arm. " I-I'm sorry, but can you bring breakfast up? " Jerome nodded and walked down stairs. He saw Adam and Ty talking to each other sitting at the table, but he ignored them. He grabbed the freshly made pancakes and bacon. " Jerome? How is Mitch? " Ty asked. Jerome turned his head and cocked it to the side. 

" Look... " Adam started and got up from the table. " You need to write or show him your... Jerome.. " Jerome's eyes widen and he shook his head. " Well now you have to cause Adam messed everything up.. " Jerome glared at Adam. Flames burning in his eyes. " I told Mitch you ran away.. " Adam muttered. Jerome's knuckles turned white from his tightening them.

Jerome pounced on Adam scratching with his semi-long nails. Adam screamed and Ty tried to pry off Jerome, but Jerome was much stronger than Ty. Mitch raced down stairs to see the chaos. He screamed for James to stop. Jerome stopped and jumped off of Adam. His eyes glowing red. Mitch only knows one person who can do that. " J-James come on let's go upstairs.. " 

Mitch grabbed Jerome's wrist and pulled him gentle upstairs. They entered Jerome's room. " James who are you? " Mitch handed him paper and a pencil. ' I am James a guy that was living in the woods. ' Mitch nodded. " What do you like? " He asked with excitement. ' Well I like the color purple and bears! ' Mitch nodded once more.

" Hehe your funny James... " Mitch said flirty. Jerome blinked a couple times. Mitch crawled his way to James's lap and sat right on it. He wrapped his arms around James's neck. " You see... " Instantly Mitch pinned James to the bed. " I. Know. Your. Jerome. " He smirked. Jerome frowned and blushed wildly. Jerome tried to look confused. 

" Jerome don't play dumb with me... Your eyes are yours, how your eyes turned red when you attacked Adam.. And really? Your favorite color is purple and you love ' bears '... " Jerome gave in and nodded. " Now... " Mitch got off and sat up. " Why do you look like this? "

Jerome frowned. He had to spill everything.

 ' Ever since I met you I liked you. More than a friend... But over time I fell in love with you.. I made a deal with a squid that would turn me human so you could like me back.. He took my voice for the deal.. I did this all because all I am is a stupid, worthless, smelly bacca and how could someone like you love me back or even like me.. Tomorrow by dawn I will belong to a squid... '

Tears ran down Jerome's face. Mitch frowned. " No.. What can I do to help you stay with me.. " Jerome shot his head up and looked at Mitch. Tears silently went down his face and his hands in a fist. ' I need a true love kiss from you.. ' 

Mitch nodded. " I will be back in a while... Help Adam.. " Mitch got up and left. Jerome's heart was broken. He knew it. He knew all along that Mitch would hate him for liking him. Jerome got up from the bed and walked downstairs. Adam had a bandage around his right eye and a bandage on his cheek. Red substance stain the white fabric. 

" Jerome are you ok? " Adam asked with full concern in his voice. Jerome looked at Adam and just burst into a mess of tears. " Me and Ty saw him leave.. He didn't take it so well did he? " Jerome nodded.  Ty sighed and walked to Jerome for a hug.  " I'm so sorry Jerome.. " Jerome shook his head no and pointed to himself. " Now don't be like that... " Adam said softly.

All together they hugged trying to comfort only Jerome. " If it makes you feel better... Jason is open for anyone.. " Ty suggested. Jerome shook his head. His body trembling and tears falling non stop. Adam and Ty slowly released Jerome. " A good rest should help you.. " Jerome nodded and headed for upstairs. 

Finally! I did it! Mitch ran back home to give Adam, Ty, and most importantly Jerome great news. He quietly open the door and tip toed to the kitchen. Adam, Ty, and Jason all talking. " Yeah I could keep him company and maybe I can break the spell thing. " Adam and Ty smiled. " Great you'll kiss Jerome. Hopefully the squid can accept this. " Adam chirped. 

Mitch narrowed his eyes. " No you won't do that.. " Mitch whispered and disappeared back into the dark house. He had a big plan and now this adds more to the plan. He smirked very deviously. " Sometimes a Canadian has a trick up his sleeve.. " He whispered to himself. He went into the second guest room to get some rest for the plan tomorrow.

~ Time Skip Next Morning Last Day ~

Jerome frantically jolted out of bed. He doesn't want this deal anymore. He knew he would never see his friends again, but mostly Mitch who probably hated him. He jumped out of bed and ran down stairs. Jerome rushed to the front door to talk to the squid. I need to ask him for one more day! Please just one more day! He ran out the door into the woods to the pond.

Once he reached his destination Orson was out of the water smirking. " Jerome I had a feeling you would come back.. Why are you here? " He snapped his fingers. " I want another day! " Jerome said. He clamped his hand over his mouth. His voice sounded hoarse and raw. " I'll only let you talk to me no one else. " Orson said. " But sorry Jerome a deal is a deal. " Jerome shook his head. " Please Orson! Give me another chance! " 

Orson shook his head. " Sorry Jerome.. But if I were you I wouldn't be wasting time.. Tick. Tock Jerome. " Orson snapped his fingers and Jerome couldn't speak no more. Orson sunk back into the pond leaving Jerome into a crying mess. No sound just tears. Suddenly an arrow fired right next to him. He jumped a little and look behind him. No one.

On the arrow was a note. Meet me at the tree.. - The One You Need Jerome instantly dashed to the tree. Mitch! It's Mitch! I know it's him! He thought and quicken his speed. Once he made it to the tree his emotion to excitement turned to disappointment. " Hey Jerome.. " Jason said very seductive. Jerome's eyes widen and he backed away. " What's wrong? " Jason asked getting up from the ground. 

Jerome's eyes spilled with tears and she shook his head. " Ok.. No really Jerome are you ok? " He asked again. Jerome closed his eyes and trembled. Jason went up to him and engulfed him into a hug. " Shh... It's ok.. " Jason petted his head. Jerome pushed him away and ran off somewhere else. " JEROME! " Jason yelled. 

No. No. NO! This can't be happening! Mitch was supposed to be there! Jason tackled him to the ground. " Jerome! Calm down! I love you! I can break the spell! " Jerome continued to cry and trembled. 

" Get away from him Jason.. " A low growl emitted from the trees. Suddenly Jason was pushed off of Jerome and disappearing into a bush. It fell silent and Jerome was still on the ground trembling and crying. " Biggums don't cry.. " Mitch.. Jerome's eyes widen and he sat up. He gasped. A fluffy brown creature with soft caramel eyes met his. He wore pants that were ripped and a dog tag.

" Jerome.. Kiss me.. " Mitch said sitting in front of him. Jerome leaned in and kissed him with passion and lust. Sparks flew as they kissed, but soon they separated. Mitch glowed and was lifted off the ground. The bright light engulfed him and Jerome shield his eyes. 

" You can look now. " Jerome opened his eyes to see Mitch back into his human form. He only wore ripped pants and his dog tag. Jerome stood up and crashed his lips with Mitch's. They separated. " I love you Biggums. " Jerome said making Mitch weld up with tears. " I-I love you too. "

~ Years Later ~

" You may now kiss the groom. " Seto said. The bacca leaned in to kiss his new Canadian husband. Everyone cheered and whistled. They both separated. " I love you Jerome. " " I love you too Mitch. "
