Not new material!!!!

I know I'm not going to post in that book again, so I'm deleting it and placing the stuff here.

Artists constantly have to deal with ordeal of overcoming same-face syndrome. If you don't know what same face syndrome is, it is when a particular artist constantly has numerous different characters all carrying the same facial features. This can sometimes come from lack of experience, but also you may not even notice this phenomenon in your own art.

Today we will help with same-face syndrome by outlining three easy steps.

1: Recognizing you have same-face syndrome. By noting this, you can also see what facial features are the same and which differ from character to character. This is a huge step in overcoming same-face syndrome.

2: What can you change, and what will stay the same? This step is especially for people with simple or cartoony styles, where changing a lot could affect they style itself (though this can be good in some instances). The big thing I change when drawing different characters is eye shape. This can also help with their personality: young and innocent? try oval-shaped eyes. witty and mischievous? try onyx eyes.

3: Applying these changes when drawing. As most people know, practice makes perfect! Try to work your changes into your characters.

I hope this helped, everyone! Same-face syndrome was definitely something I struggled with when I started to really get into art.
