Naruto gazed at the thing in front of him.

The thing gazed back.

"He's suppose to be my main fox?!" Naruto roared while pointing at the thing in front of him.

The thing in front him gave a whine torwards the boy. It was a fox.

A kit to be exact.

A baby fox if you wanted to be more exact.

"How is he meant to help me, believe it?!" Naruto once again yelled. He wasn't insensitive enough to call him an 'It'.

Plus, Kurama would give him a major lecture and scolding.

One that would last for hours and Naruto wouldn't be able to tune out.

"I did say that you would have to spend a lot of time with your main fox didn't I? It's better this way too." Kurama told the Genin-hopeful.

"How?!?" Naruto demanded at the chakra beast.

"You'll be able to learn things together. One of you won't have more knowledge about this than the other. The two of you stand on even ground on that." Kurama explained.

The blond relented at that.

He had woken up that morning and been promptly reminded of what he had said yesterday.

As much as Naruto had wanted to summon his main fox already. He didn't want to do it right after waking up.

The boy hadn't even eaten breakfast yet!

The Uzumaki had been hoping for something cool to be his main fox. But, 'He's better than nothing, believe it!' The blond decided.

Naruto picked the fox up and started petting it. A smile crossed his face when hearing the sound of the fox's enjoyment at his actions.

"Now what to call you..." The thirteen year old drawled out. He went straight to his signature thinking pose.

Kurama had told him that the fox- that was now his main fox- didn't have a name. The boy chose the wisest option of not questioning how the chakra beast knew that.

Naruto kept glancing at the fox throughout the process. Finally, the young male decided on a name.

"From now on, you'll be known as Asahi, believe it!" The human declared passionately.

Asahi. A new start and beginning. Like the sun rising for a new day. A day of change.

'Asahi shall be my sign. The sign that confirms that everything happening right now is real.' Naruto promised himself.

A wide grin split his face as he realized. The first steps torwards a new day is already occurring.

Done! I know. I know. It's short but this chapter mostly focused on him getting his main fox. Plus some progress, mental and personality wise. Did you notice how in his last thoughts, he didn't say 'believe it' once? That's why he was grinning. Naruto acquired that catchphrase because almost no one believed in him since a very young age. Or that's why I think so. If people did treat him differently, he may have gotten a different catchphrase. The Uzumaki blood runs deep in him.
