~The Next Day~

Naruto stared at the library. He took a deep breath before putting on his signature grin and going inside the building.

The librarian only gave him a look before going back to his book. Naruto relaxed after that as he was worried the librarian would kick him out.

Naruto started looking up all the information about the Tailed Beasts and Jinchuuriki he could in the civilian section.

There was very little mentioning about the Bijuu and absolutely nothing on Jinchuuriki. Naruto only read stuff he already knew so he mentally prepared himself to go to the ninja section.

Naruto sneaked into the ninja section before quickly grabbing the books about what he was looking for.

There was only one of each and Naruto almost got caught though he managed to hide before leaving torward where a table in the back was.

The book about the Bijuu mostly just went over the stuff that was mentioned in the civilian section but it did mention a few new things.

One of them was that Mito Uzumaki, the First Hokage's wife, was the first Jinchuuriki for the Kyuubi. The book on Jinchuuriki-though small-was the most informative.

It-of course- didn't have anything that was important as this was a public library. It was mostly about things Mito said and explained and have other sources.

Naruto took particular interest on how that Jinchuurikis can talked to their Tailed Beasts in their mindscape.

The mindscape isn't something that any old ninja could visit. Except maybe Yamanakas if they were taught the right clan jutsu.

The ninja in question would have had to learned how to do so and it would take them a while to be able to do it.

Then it also took sometime to get use to their mindscape before they could actually start doing things in there. For example, changing the landscape.

Not for Jinchuurikis though. They have it much simpler and all they have to do is meditate or it could happen accidentally.

Sometimes the Bijuu pull their Jinchuuriki into their mindscape or they accidentally go into their mindscape themselves. No one else can do that not even the Yamanakas.

Naruto hurriedly put away the books before quickly running out the library.

He ran torward a secluded training ground and only lightly panted.

Naruto was always a stamina freak but now he could understand it was because of the Kyuubi. Naruto started thinking about which would be better to start on going to his mindscape or practicing chakra chains.

He decided on visiting his mindscape because the Kyuubi could help him with his training and he also wanted to meet the Kyuubi.

Naruto sat criss-crossed-applesauce style before starting to meditate. It took five minutes before Naruto went into his mindscape.

Those five minutes were full of twitching here and there as Naruto struggled to stay still and focused on his task.

Naruto appeared in what seemed to be a sewer. He wrinkled his nose in disgust 'I'm definitely going to change how my mindscape looks later.'.

Naruto felt a pull torward a certain direction so he walked that way. He entered a giant room with a jail cell in it. "So your the Kyuubi?" Naruto asked the giant fox that was behind the bars.

The fox glared at Naruto through the bars as he roared "Yes, you pitiful mortal!". "Now why don't you come and rip this seal off?" Continued the Kyuubi.

"I'm not stupid enough to do that you know, believe it!." Replied Naruto. The Kyuubi seemed to glare some more before stopping "You don't really show it.".

Naruto simply grinned at the Kyuubi before asking seriously "Will you be my friend?". The Kyuubi started glaring at Naruto again "Why would I want to do that, pitiful mortal?".

Naruto replied in his usual cheery voice "Because you have nothing better to do!".

Then with some thought added afterwards "Also because we're stuck for my whole life and it seems lonely here. I also understand wait I don't understand I mean cuz I've never been used in war before or forced to stay in a disgusting sewer for years, believe it!".

Naruto was rambling at this point. The Kyuubi gained a contemplating look "It is true I have nothing else to do. Fine. I'll be your friend.".

Naruto whooped in joy "Yay my first friend! I'm Naruto Uzumaki, dattebayo!". The Kyuubi replied calmly "I'm Kurama.".

Kurama held his fist out torward Naruto "Fist bump with me.". It took a second for Naruto to take that in before exclaiming "EHHH?!?!".

"If you fist bump with me our chakras can connect together." Kurama said in an unamused tone of voice. Naruto was still confused but did so anyways. He felt this weird feeling pass through him before Kurama pulled his paw away.

"Before I leave though..." Trailed off Naruto before closing his eyes and focusing. The sewer became a forest and a giant lake appeared torward the far right of the.

The jail cell turned into a red collar on Kurama. Kurama looked suprised before nodding his appreciation torwards Naruto.

After that Naruto got out of his mindscape and started practiced his chakra chains. Suddenly a voice said "Have you ever thought of learning fuinjutsu?". Naruto started to whip his head around in every direction as he tried to find the one who spoke.

The voice spoke again "It's me, Kurama.". Naruto sheepishly scratched the back of his neck as it made better sense. "Wait how did you talk in my head, dattebayo?!" Asked an alarmed Naruto.

"It's when we connected our chakra." Explained Kurama. "So what's fuinjutsu, believe it?" Naruto asked curiously "It was also mentioned in the Scroll of Seals, believe it.". Kurama said in exasperated voice "What type of Uzumaki are you, you pitiful human?" but answered anyways "Fuinjutsu is the art of sealing.".

Naruto let out an understanding noise before asking "Wait you can actually teach me, dattebayo?". You could practically hear the sarcasm coming out of Kurama "Oh of course I can't. Why else would I suggest it to you?".

Naruto gained an embarrassed look as Kurama continued without sarcasm this time "My two other jailors where Uzumaki and used fuinjutsu. So because I had nothing else to do I learned as much about it as it gave me something to do.".

Naruto asked Kurama "Who was your jailor after Mito, dattebayo?". Kurama groaned in annoyance "You're asking so many questions." Naruto at least looked a bit guilty at this "But if you must know my Jinchuuriki before you was your mother.".

"M-my mother?" Naruto said incredulously. Naruto could feel the glare from Kurama and quickly apologized. "Yes your mother. She was Kushina Uzumaki." Kurama stated and Naruto's eyes widened.

"That means...." Naruto trailed off but Kurama finished it for him "That the Yondaime Hokage is your father.".

Naruto felt stupid at that moment. He felt angry at himself for not noticing the similarities sooner. Naruto felt immense anger and hate torward the Hokage and the village before he calmed down.

Once he was calmed down Naruto realized why no one could ever know who his parents were. Kurama-for his part felt- a little sad for Naruto but quickly the emotion was pushed back.

Kurama went back to the topic that they trailed off from. Kurama taught Naruto the basic concepts and Naruto pretty much ate the knowledge up that people twice his age and older had immense trouble even understanding a sentence of.

'It may be because of his Uzumaki genes' Mused Kurama to himself as he helped Naruto with his chakra chains. Kurama for the rest of the day helped Naruto with the excuse of 'I can't have a weak Jinchuuriki.'.

That's the end of the chapter. In the next chapter Naruto meets Konohamaru and signs the fox summoning contract.
