    ???: 'Hey you wanna play a game??'

    An unknown number, randomly messaging him at 3 in the morning. He gulped as he fully picked up the phone and stared at the message on his notification center. His background with all of his friends staring back at him his own face blurred out because of the messages. He stared at it further and then he recognized the number and he began to frown.

    bAt: 'Ari seriously at 3 am?'

    Aphrodite~ ♥: 'How'd you know its me!?'

    He snickered at Ari's response.

    bAt: 'That response and the fact that you already gave me your spare number'

    Aphrodite~ ♥: 'Ah you know that makes sense! Anyhoo~ i've got a fun thing for us to do for halloween!'

    bAt 'Im sorry all your ideas are terrible and I'm scared.

    Aphrodite~ ♥: 'Okkay anyways, have you heard about that like rec center that closed down after 6 kids went missing~?'

    bAt: 'Do I want to respond yes?'

    Aphrodite~ ♥: OkAY wellweregoingthereandeveryonesagreedandweneedyoutodriveusnbecauseyou'vegotatruck.

    bAt: Translation: Well were going there and everyones agreed and we need you to drive because you've got a truck. Wait a second-? YOU WANT ME TO DRIVE ALL OF US TO AN ABANDONED REC CENTER?!

    Aphrodite~ ♥: NO plus you dont even like her, ithought you would be more open cause she's strong n stuff.

    bAT: this is a terrible idea. But i might as well stop you guys from getting murdered.

    Aphrodite~ ♥: Kk! COol so will you come pickusup now Were at an icecream shop 15 minutes away from the rec centterr heres the address

    Ari or Aphrodite in the messages sent him an address to a random Ice cream shop around a 5 minute drive from his house. He sighed and grabbed a backpack from his wall. He grabbed a flashlight, Swiss army knife (he had gotten from his Ex), batteries, a few snacks, (he had them stashed in a drawer in his room. He got hungry super easily) two spare hoodies, and a first aid kit (Karma was super clumsy). It would be enough to survive at least. He ran down the stairs and grabbed the keys off a hook on the wall next to the door. His mother had caught him before he could slip out.

    "Jay, where are you going?" She asked him softly, drying her soaking hands on a dish towel. She had been cleaning the kitchen when she heard her son leaping down the stairs.

    "Oh Ari wanted me to meet up with some of our friends. She got invited to a... halloween party!."

    "Oh without costumes?" His mother asked, tilting her head. "If you need I can pick you up one? What do you want to be this year? One of the characters from that video game you love playing?"

    "Nah Momma, we're shopping for costumes now. That's why I'm going out." Bat lied through his teeth. His mother dashed forwards at him and wrapped him in a hug. Surprising Bat so much he jumped.

    "Oh my baby boy you've grown up. I remember when you used to love your name. Jay. It was beautiful you even wanted to dye your hair blue like a blue jays. Now look at you." She stepped back still gripping his shoulder. She stared at him. His once blonde hair was now a nice shade of blackish silver; he had piercings on his ears and bags under his eyes. Nothing like the young boy she used to know but still her son nonetheless. She then hugged him again like there was no tomorrow. Because as she let her son walk out the door and jump into his white truck. Because he would not see tomorrow
