Okay so quick little note, I couldn't find the orgin post of this brain child so I just have my response to it.

Liz looks at the white haired boy. "Um....okay?" She said confused a little bit. "Why are you dressed like that?" She asked slowly coming outside of her hiding spot where she was watching himHe looks at the girl then down to his clothing. "Nothing else." he shrugged his shoulders before leaning back against one of the trees looking the girl over better. Now that he was staying still his yellow eyes were checking every inch of her body before slipping off his coat and holding it out to her. He wasn't sure if she needed it or not but at the same time he didn't fully know what she was asking. The crow looks down and watches them. The man looked tired as he rubs at his eyes and gestures behind him, "Come?" he needed to get back and he knew this but clearly she didn't. So when she didn't follow at first he points to the creatures hiding behind bushes, "Come or they eat." the creatures hiss and start to craw back a bit. But it was clear they were sticking around.She takes his coat before looking into the bushes at the creatures as they hissed. "What's your name?" She looking around the mountain for the herd as they walked. "And why are you up here? Are you all alone or do you have family?" She asked glancing behind them."you ask much.." he keeps walking none the less and once they got to the clearing of where his house was he stopped. "Not- sure, and alone." he looks back at her over his shoulder before rubbing one of the apples clean and throws it over to her. He sets his basket near the door of his home and walks inside. Everything he made himself the house, door, even his bed was out of animal fur. He walks over to the fire place that was made with mud and throws in a few logs before striking two stones into some tinder. "Sit." But the only problem was there was only two places to sit, on his bed or on a chair that he mad that was next to a small table.She caught the apple then followed him inside. She looks around and choose to sit in the chair. "How can you not have a name, hour at least as old as I am." She said looking the apple over and sniffing it before taking a small bite of the apple"Was chained up till 21. my-... person holding me called me it. I guess you could say that's my name." hearing her talk he started to get used to speaking again. He grabs the stick that caught flame and ran it across the other logs. "What you know of magic?" he looks over at her to see what her reaction would be. He dusts off his hands on his pants and starts to strip down of his coat, shirt, and gloves he was wearing. His back and chest were lined with scars as he reaches over and grabs a shirt that looked like it was made for a king and slips it on. He used that shirt to sleep in it seems. "Do you even own any." he looked her over to see if he could figure out her type.She smiled a little. Magic was a beautiful beast that if trained right could make beautiful pictures or end kingdoms, it just came down to mind set, imagination, personality and type. She studied him for a moment, his scares seemed cased by a weapon, most of them at lest, not animals. "I think I'll call you Chain, or Ace, which one do you like more?"His brow twitch to her first comment as he mumbles something under his breath but loud enough for her to hear, "Well- seeing how chains kept me locked up for 16 years of my life lets go with ace...." he sighs and looks at her, "You have still not answered my first question, do you know any magic?" while asking this the crow cawed outside and Ace stood up and walked over to the door letting the bird fly inside. It ruffled it's feathers and snuggled in it's one spot on the bed's backboard."I know a little, just enough to make stuff look pretty every ones in a wail. " She said smiling a little bit as she thought of the definition her mother had told her magic was. 'A beautiful beast.' She had called it once when she was explaining it.He raised a brow before holding his hand out, "Mind telling me what this type is?" When he opened his palm darkness started to swarm his arm and hand. He had quite the control over it. Not even a tiny bit was trying to leak out. The shadows he was holding looked more like a flame with smoke rising from it but black. The bird cawed loudly and he made it go away in a snap. Hard to tell if Ace was having trouble holding it or if when the bird cried out he put it away.She smiled. "That was so pretty." She whispers her eyes sparkling. "Here's mine." She opened her hand and slowly streaks of fire came out, they arranged themself in an forest like manner, intell it was easy to see it was the forest that srouned the house. She shut her hand and it quickly went out.He tilts his head and watched. He's never seen any other magic than his own. "if you wouldn't mind I would enjoy seeing your magic in action." he looked outside and sighed. "However it's night and the creatures of the forest are out. Unless you know what spot to aim for they will kill you." he reaches over to his bed and hands her some animal skin. "Take the bed" he grabbed a few skins as well and moved his stuff over to the wall. He laid down a few on the floor so it wouldn't be so hard before rolling one up making a pillow. He gets under one animal skin before asking another question. "Have you been inside the city's?" he had his head tilted hoping she had and wondering what it was like.She lays on the bed. "Plenty of times, but I don't live in there, it's too crampt." She said looking at the ceiling. "It's pretty out here."! She said looking back at the memories of walking up the mouniten"I have been close but never inside one... thought all people were as rude as my fath-" he stops and looks down at the floor before a layer of shadows showed up and laid over his shoulders. "What I meant was that your nice- most people see me and run the other way cause I look off." He moves his shoulder as the shadows acted like a blanket. "That or some other reason- why did you follow me?- besides food that is.""I like meeting me people,and I'm also looking for a plant that grows up here." She watches the shadows swirl around him. She smiled as they did."If you wouldn't mind having me along for the ride i would enjoy helping you look for a place." he sighs, "only reason I stay out here is because - well no one ever gave me a chance." The crow flew over beside him before he holds his hand out near the fire dimming the light a bit. "None the less, try to get some sleep it's not safe to go anywhere at night.""I don't see why, your pretty nice." She said nodding. "Night Ace."In the morning Ace was already up and working on something for them to eat the fire was still covered in shadows so the light wouldn't be to bright. "- oh your up.... sorry, not good at cooking." he walks over handing her a bowl of oatmeal it smelled good, but the looks were lacking. He was eating out of a new bowl he made. "I remember you asking why i was dressed like i was so I thought this might look a bit better?" he mumbles out a few words and places two fingers on one side of his chest and dragging it to the other side. While doing so he would be changed into black garment. It hid his face and was a bit creepy but it was probably best for him seeing how he didn't trust all the people. "Does this work?"She nods before walking over to him before pulling of the mask. "Their,you look great." She said smiling before taking the bowl of oatmeal.He gave her a look before shaking his head, "I'm sure if people didn't like to see me then they wouldn't like to see me now." he starts to eat what is in his bowl before looking at her, "Now, a place did you have a location in mind?""Have you seen them in a wail?" She asked taking a bite of it. She smiled a little bit as she realized it tasted good.He shook his head no, "No, sorry. I've been near a lot of places but never in them." he finishes his food and sets the bowl onto the table before rubbing at his lip. "Well if once your done we will head out. Sound good?" he moves outside after her response and works on his garden a bit. Oddly enough he had the rare herb that was for a money reward."Sound a good." She said smiling. "Lets go Ace, and I daught no one would notice you." She nods getting upAce had a small smile to his lips before walking with her to the closest town. Once they were inside people started to whisper among themselves. "He looks like him-" "Yah but can't be." Ace was already tense this wasn't making it much better, "Yah and who's the girl." "How did she survive the night." People kept mumbling and at that time Ace had his hood in hand and pulling it up and over his face. Once he was done fixing it he stopped and looked at a message board in the middle of the town. "I guess this will be the best place to look for a place for you no?" his voice was muffled by all of the clothing and he spoke softer due to some people just waiting to hear what he said.She shifts uncomfortable as they whispered. What are they talking about? She thought confused as they walked. "I guess." She said noddingAce moves over to the board and starts to look at all of the papers, only problem was - "ugh... I can't read any of these." He didn't know how to read. Ace just looked at the picture ones and asked her if they were places only the 2 out of the 7 he picked up where what they were looking for. Someone moved over near Ace and pulls off his hood, "He-" when he turned around to argue with who ever pulled his hood down he finds a knife at his throat. Ace wasn't happy that someone was already trying to kill him. "Is this a trick or a game to you?!" the person said while Ace stared at him coldly. "I don't know what y-" the person just shoved the blade close to him pissing ace off more, "AND YOU! NAME AND LOCATION!" the man glares her direction."Really?" She felt her finger tips boil. "MY name is Elizabeth John McCain." She felt the fire swirl around her as she glared at the man. "I suggest you let my friend go.""Well Elizabeth" when he spoke it almost sounded like he was being an ass about it. "Your friend her looks exactly like the kings dead son just older!" everyone was now question who Ace was, who she is, and more. Ace grabbed the man's arm while he still have the blade out and twists it behind his back and squeezed his wrist tight making the blade drop and slide across the stones they stood on. "Put that blade near my face again and you will not have any hands left to hold it." Elizabeth would start to get a bit more of Ace, with 0 people interaction he was very quick to pull up a defense.She felt the fire die out a little bit, the fire around her disappeared. "How did you move that fast?" She asked ignoring the first statementAce looked down at his feet the shadows under were some how holding the other guy still for a moment. "Get off the man right now." a few men on horses rode up to them and were looking at Elizabeth and Ace. Ace looked at her to see if he should or not. If she looked at the horsemen she would find they were part of the king's army.She set an wall of fire between them and the guards. She grabbed his arm and ran through the alley. She stopped out of breath as they were about about three blocks away from them and the guardsAce didn't even look a bit out of breath as he pulls his hood back up and slumps down against the wall. His hands were trembling. "I - finally met someone who is nice and I go and bring them into conflict..." his shadows were seeping from his clothing as he grabs his head, "I'm sure you hate me for getting you into this mess." he stops and looks at her to see if she was ok."I've been in this mess scene I moved here." She said smiling a little bit. "I've came from another kingdom, country really." She said taking deep breathsHe looked at her and sighed before crossing his legs trying to relax, "If I tell you something you promise not to think me crazy?" While he spoke this his crow flew above them and landed on the tallest building. "What they said isn't untrue but it's also not the full truth. I know the king more than anyone should. The bad part as well." he looks up at her to see if she would put two and two together or not."I've never thought you were crazy and I don't know what your talking about"Im the king's son." he said almost interrupting her. He stands up and looks at his shadow clothing before sighing, "Reason I live in the woods and away from people is because he was going to use me as something. I still dont know- but... here see?" He pulls his sleeves up and shows him his wrist that were scared up from him trying to pull his wrist out of the cuffs. "People knew the king had a son and when I went missing they put up flyers around the kingdom- didn't think it got all the way out here though.." he moves and places a hand on her head. "You're the first one to look at me and think of me as me. Not wonder if I'm someone else." he was being fully honest with her."Oh, that makes a lot of scence." She said smiling a little. "And how was that as a magic show?" She asked smiling at him a little"Magic show- the flames? To be honest with you I was not expecting it at all. But will the guards not be looking for you and me now?" He sighs and keeps his hood on, "I hope this doesn't allow you to get a place...""I never like the city, I live out of town for a reason." She said shrugging. "We should get going, they might find us." She said looking aroundHe nods his head before looking up at his crow, "show us?" The crow looked around and flew off cawing loudly. "This way" he went the other way of his crow and they got out easy, that was until someone came up behind Elizabeth and held her with a magic spell in their palm ready. Ace turns once he heard more foot steps.She tried squirmer, but she could. Elizabeth looks up at Ace. She smiled a little bit. "Go, I'll be back." She said nodding"No hold your breath." As he said that the persons shadows were climbing up his clothing and going into his lungs. He said for her to hold her breath knowing the person would listen to him as well keeping the shadows down. Ace moves as he saw the guards conning "Find coal he will show you my location." At that moment he did as she asked and disappeared. He was the shadows now. He feared if he stayed his shadows could harm her.She held her breath like he told her. She wondered what he was doing. Ace had disappeared, she felt the spell grow stronger. She felt herself start to panic.The shadows would have killed the man from the inside out and he would have died behind Elizabeth. It was clear, to clear in face, that the spell he used was dark magic. The guard were behind Elizabeth and about to grab her when they saw the corpse, "..." they were all stunned but they knew it wasn't her magic they saw it a moment ago of her using flames. "Darkness is alive?!" One of the guards was freaking out, "grab the girl she might know about it!"She tried to escape the spell, but she couldn't, it held her like a mouse trap. Her lugs screamed for air as they rushed away, bring her with them. When could she gasp for air again? She thought as she felt dizzy.Coal landed on her shoulder and cawed out. The loud noice would make her jump and breath once again. The shadows from the body lashed out and attacked the guards to keep them away from Elizabeth. Coal flys off her shoulder and tries to get her to follow. Once she was able to follow coal he would land beside ace who was waiting for her but looked like he was still using his magic. Once he heard coal his spell casting stopped and looked at Elizabeth, "you made it." He looked happy that she was ok.She had her hand braced to the wall, she was gasping for air still, her face looked pale. Once she fought her breath she smiled, standing straighter. "Lets get out of here."He blinks as he watches her go from pale as a sheet to being ready to run a mile in seconds. "Lets." He pointed a direction and coal flew off trying to find the next village. "But next time lets not, pull my hood down." She could tell he was smirking at her."Agreed." She said smiling as they followed Coal. "Why does it listen to you?" She asked nosing at the bird."Coal?" he looks at the crow before it flys back down and lands on his arm. "Did you not look at him?" when coal opened his wings it was clear he was made of shadows, "Coal is my eyes and ears when it comes to long distances. People can't tell he's made of shadows because crows always had the darkness with them. But once they start looking at him it's easy to tell." Coal flew back up as Ace walked to ketch up to him."I didn't realize, I don't really look at my surroundings much." She said shrugging a little bit while smiling."Not many do." he smiles at her before heading off. Behind them was an assassin they were interested in killing off the girl but now they wanted the man as well. Any information was good and he could make a profit from it. Ace kept walking with Elizabeth unknowing that someone was following them and it was not a creature. "Hey Elizabeth? Your fire, i'm confused on why you didn't use it on those guards again?""Because it's close counters, I could burn down the hole town." She mutters looking up at the sky, watching coal as he few above them. She smiled as it let out a low caw.He nods his head and walks with her to help her find a place. Coal lands on his shoulder after awhile and disappears in a cloud of shadows.She smiled. "Could I ever touch a shadow, like from your magic." She asked him as coal disappeared."As long as i didn't have a death spell in it yah. it's just like touching a shadow on the ground.. there's not much there" he stretched and cracked his back before sighing, "Damn i needed that, so- what place in particular were you lookinf for again?""I'm looking for an herd, like a plant." She said shrugging as she smiling when she said it."What type? Most are really easy to find." he slips in the mud a bit and almost falls on his ass, "....Hey did you ever feel like your being followed?" he whispered to her."Always."She whispers back. "It's a winter globe, that's what the person called it." She said looking up at the fluffy white clouds."You mean the one I use for soup..." he face palms himself before getting her to follow him, "here they are all over this place if you know where to look." And just as he said that he pick up a large one holding it out to her. "I guess people don't trust the woods still.""What did it ever do to them?" She asked carefully taking the plant and puts it in a little bag she had on her belt."Well the creatures, most of them crave human flesh..." he shrugs his shoulders before he looks behind him at a glimmer of light in the trees, "...."She looks behind her confused. "What did you see?" She whispers"not.. sure." he sighs and shakes his head. "I keep thinking I see a light in the tree but it's at an angle and the sun is right above us....""Maybe we should take a brake, you might just be tired, I known sometimes after usesing my magic I get tired." She said looking around

"It might be that...." he grabs his hood and moves it around a bit before looking at her. "We can try I suppose we should try and find a place to get some rest"

He sighs and picks her up and pushes her into a tree, once she was on one of the branches a hammock was made of shadows beside her. Ace climbed up on his own and make his hammock as well, "do you need more covers or are you good?""Im good." She said touching the shadow. It felt softandvelvety"Get some sleep ok?" he gets in his hammock before laying one arm over and almost instantly he was sound asleep snoring. Meanwhile the man creeps up a bit closer to them to head what she may say.She cruls up and falls asleep in the shadow hammock. She smiled as it seems to curl around herOnce she wakes up she would find herself in a prison cell and a pain on the left side of her neck. The cell had bars on each side that stops all magic from being used on it. Across from her was Ace with blood dripping from his wrists from where he's been pulling at the cuffs for awhile. He was chained to the wall and the cuffs on his wrists and the chains were anti magic. It wouldn't allow the person wearing them to use any form of magic. None the less Ace tryed to use his strength. Looks like he was trying to pull the hinges off the wall. Clearly he was tired and sweat rolls down his face from his hair line. "Damn it!" he grabs the chain again and trys to use his foot to yank the chain free."Ow..Ace, what the hell happened." She said rubbing her head the looking up at him. She ran ober to him and grabed his wrist looking at the blood.Ace fell on the floor. "There was someone following us, when we went to sleep he got you with a dart I went to attack him but he attached these." he lifted his wrists as the chain rattles with it. "It stops my magic and I was going to just kill him with my bare hands he shot me with one of the darts as well." he breaths hard and lets her look at his wrists. Blood was seeping into the marks on the bracers. "I tryed to get the out of the wall so at least we can get out of here but nothing. It will not budge." he looks up at her, "Ugh- careful the dart is still in your neck..""Could you take it out?" Sheasked putting her hands on tjhe ciansHe moves and pulls it out dropping it on the floor, "Yah i think he gave you mine and i got yours." he points to the smaller dart before footsteps are head walking to them. Ace was already glaring he didn't like the ideal of what may or may not happen."I'm going to try something and if it gose right it will hurt." She said before focusing on her hands. They started to heat up, but no fire came out of her hands as she attempted to melt the chainsHe grabs her wrist to stop her as the King of the Decaying Highlands walks into the room, "So you not only break from your chains and run away, but you find a girl as well that is NOT ROYALTY!" Ace growls at him, "If I was not chained up I'de RIP YOUR HEAD FROM YOUR SHOULDERS!" Ace was clearly pissed as he stands up looking at the man, "Is that anyways to talk to your father?" Ace keeps growling while the king talked.She glared at the king. "What kind of father chains up their son? Also what kind of king says to his people that's he is dead and lays to his whole kingdom?" She asked glancing at him."The kind that does not want to see him fall into the wrong hands," Ace growls, "LIES! You want to use me as a weapon, you said it was to keep me safe, but was keeping me safe forgetting to feed me OVER A WEEK!" Ace jerks at his wrist to pull at the chains. "You didn't even see me as a son anymore, you called me an it! Wouldn't give me any clothing, blankets. or a light, nothing!" The king just looks at Ace, "I brought you into this wo-" "NO my mother did and what did you do with her? Kill her because she knew my secret!" The king ignores ace for a moment looking at Elizabeth, "So why has he grown so found of you hum? If he has your more use to me than you think."She looks at him before spitting on the ground in front of him. "Your an idiot, the king of them sir." She said her voice a little bit of a growl"Oh my, you have his attitude." the king just shook his head and moved outside, "I'll be back Alexander" Ace growls at the Name before stumbling and falling onto his ass. "If you can get the cuffs off do it.... Don't worry if it hurts me.""I'm going to try." She said putting her hands on the cuffs, focusing all her power to her handsAce squints one eye as he feels the iron burning him. He tries to breath slower and not think about the pain. but once the cuffs were warm enough he bent them back and pulled them off. "Shadows." before he had to say another word his shadows swarmed and wrapped around his wrists cooling them off. His hands were trembling, "Are you ok? How much of your power did you use?"She smiled she was a little pale. "I'm fine, not much." She said feeling tired"Yah your skin tone does not agree with you. Coal now." Coal appeared and flew over to the wall taking off the keys and flying back. "There's no point running threw these halls only to get caught." He opens a black circle outside of the cell as he unlocks it, "Do you trust me?""Yes, I trust you. Why?" She asked himHe grabs her by the waist and pulls her into the black circle as soon as both of them were on it coal flew down and they dropped, Both were falling like they were in a tunnel slide. "Keep your hands close to your chest. The shadows like to drain life here." he pulls her hands in to keep them there while they were still falling. After a moment or two they fell onto the ground with a thud. "You ok? Cause if so... mind getting off of me?" she was sitting on Ace's back when they fell."That was fun." She said getting up off of him."Yah next time I think I'm taking the slower way." The black circle vanished and both of them were covered in soot. However Ace wasn't looking so great. His wrist were really sore even with his shadows healing them."Are you ok?" She asked curious, looking into his yellow eyes with her hazel ones"Yah, i've done this before where they were cut up, but this is just a burn it might take me a weak or two and i'll be better." He walks over to his house and sits on the porch, "Geeze, he will never give up the search for me. and now he knows i'm alive, he;ll send assassins every day. .... Might if I ask you to cook for awhile. I'm going to use my energy to create beasts to keep this place safe.""Okay, got it." She said nodding. "I'm sorry, for burning you." She said shifting uneasily. She didn't like hurting people and only really did it when necessity"It's ok, trust me I've delt with worse." he opens his arms and brings up several shadow beasts. There were quite a few different ones but in the end there was 10 total, all were huge beasts.She nods as she looks around. "Do we still have food in the house?" She asked him looking around"Im sure we do." he heads inside and opens a cabinet and sure enough. He had quite a bit of food, only thing that was already made was some dried meat that smelled great. "Are you sure your ok? I mean, my father did cause you a bit of grief- my question is I wonder what he meant by using you."She shrugs. "I don't care at the moment." she said grabbing the dried meet and some potatoes." And I'm perfectly fine""... It bugs me not knowing what he meant. Also please don't get worried from this." he moves his hands over one eye that turns solid black, "I can see what the shadow beasts do." He closes the one eye so she didn't have to see it and kept it closed. "Do you know how to make anything?""I do, my mother use to make what I'm about to make all the time. " She said nodding"Glad you do, when I made my food I had to get used to the taste, I'm not a good cook. Thankful I don't burn my food at least but it doesn't always taste great." He looks outside and sighs, "I'm sorry by the way.."She smiled. "For what? You got us out of that place." She said finding a knife and started to peel the potatoes."Yah but you got in there because of me as well. If I knew this was going to happen I would have gotten you to the nearest town and left... that way the creatures of the forest and my father would never get you." He rubs at his black eye, seems one of the beasts might have gotten dirt in theirs."Do you have any pots?" She asked him. "And a fire place thing?""Yah- hold on." He started to pull things out for her and unfolded a wire stand before sliding it into the fire, "just be careful it gets hot fast.""Okay." She said filling the pot with water and started to cut up the potatoes and put them in the water then put the pot on the wire"I'll see if I can work in the garden, need anything while I'm out there?" He walks over to the door looking back at her."Um..." She looks around. "Nope." We said shaking her head as she watched the pot.He nodded his head and went outside working on the plants. While out there one of his beasts stayed beside him.She waits for it to boil then takes it off of the fire, after that she strained the water out and mashed the potatoes.While outside he keeps an eye on all of the creatures. One was close to a village and if it wanted to could almost grab a kid getting to close, "roar and get the kid to go back to its parents." The creature did as asked and walked further into the forest closer to the house.She cut the dried meat in half and put the other half away. She grabbed two plates the cut the in half againHe stopped and looked back to the house before heading inside checking up on her. "Hows everything going?""Ya, food's done." She said putting it in plates"Nice... Looks better than what I fix." He smiles before walking over and picking up the plate almost dropping it a moment before grabbing it with his other hand. "Hey. Um- of all things for you to do, why stay with me? You realize you don't have to...""Y, but your the most interesting person I've meet, who would want to leave?" She asked shrugging her shoulders as she grabbed her plate
"Oh yes, the possible imprisonment for years on end really isn't something people would run at first chance they got... No..." he crosses his arms over his chest and looked at her skeptical, "Im sure there are more way for you to enjoy yourself then being with a man that nearly had you taken by his father, a king.""Not really, homes a mess, and your my only friend." She sat down at the table smiling.He blinked once he heard her say those words, "I- I'm sorry I was for sure you would have more than a dozen friends.." he shut his mouth before looking at the food and trying it. "-...." his eyes widen a bit, "This is the best thing I've ever tasted," For him that wasn't saying much but he meant well."Ya, were I come from magic, no matter what kind, is a curse." She said looking at her plate, smiled a little bit and toke a bite. "My was a great cook." She said smilingHe nods before he keeps eating. A beast of his creation walks into the door before fading. Looking over Ace got up and walked to where the beast fell. "Odd- I didn't see what his visions were... Why did it fail?"She nods. "It is wired." She said walking over to him"..." Ace stood up without speaking a moment before looking back at her, "Gather all of your things as well as the stuff you think you will need, There is one magic that overwhelms mine if used properly and had enough training. Light magic, more accurate holy. And it seems as soon as I laid this beast down and he went off a person with holy magic found it and blinded it without me knowing."She nods and grabbed her bag and a few food idioms before she nods at him. "You ready?" She asked her stormy blue eyes seemed to be lite with fire as the shadows danced in them.He nods before calling his beasts to him, "Mind helping me with something, it will keep this holy caster a run for his money. When I say now. Cast a strong fire spell to the fire pit over there ok?" he moves his arms across each other before opening them up and throwing a ton of shadow magic at the fire pit, "NOW!"She cast a strong fire spell to the fire she watches him as she nodes"Unfortunately I know that I can never come back here, so if I go so does my whole place." he twists her magic and his own together as a creature with a lot of magic energy starts to form, "Cause corruption to those who made my leave my place. She stopped for a moment and made a wall of fire behind them and continue runningAce kept running beside her before takeing a path he knew well. it was to an old temple but it was better than nothing. As they got there he told her to ketch her breath.She leans on the wall and starts to catching her breath. She should have put the wall up, she knew it well, but wouldn't let Ace know, he would worry too much."Sorry I didn't have much time to explain my actions, but time was not on out side." He walks over and picks up a leaf that had a bit of water sitting in it as he used it to cool off."Where to know?" She asked looking around, her voice was a little shaky"Not sure, I know a few places but I don't know if they would take us in or not." he rubs the back of his neck worried for her rather than himself."Well you can't know intel we try." She said walking over to him. She leans on him felling a little bit better. "Um, sorry exsues my..partner, but yes we would like one night." She said looking around the place as she spoke, her eyes alert sudenlyThere were holy guards sitting at the bar, but they were drunk so didn't really see Ace or Liz. "Sure right this way." he grabbed a key and started to take them to their room. Ace looked around a bit trying to see if anything odd would be going on. Once the inn keeper took them to their room Ace dropped a bag of coins into his hands, "Should be enough for our stay and food, no?" In fact there was more for 4 stays and 6 meals. Ace didn't know the payment but he did have a bit of money. Once the door was closed ace takes off his hood and breaths in fresh air. His hood must be stuffy. "Need a break from the hood- oh and once the inn keeper gets back i'll head into the other room and you can get the food, sounds like a plan?""Sounds good." She said laying on one of he beds. She looked up at ceiling. She took a deep breath as she thought about how they got up there, she didn't rember half of it.While Ace was gone the inn keeper walked back up with their trays of food and left. Ace walked in once he was leaving. "Seems the food got here faster than I thought." he walks over and uses some dark magic to make sure their wasn't anything wrong with it. Once he was done he took a plate to his bed and started to eat.She grabed her plate and sat on her bed and eat a little bit. She relized she didn't have much of an apitiet. She eat a little bit before sheputs in on the in table and lays down in her bed"I'll assume your tired, why not get some rest?" He moves and starts taking his clothing off one piece at a time. Once he was down to his pants and shoes he flopped onto the bed and sighs.She yawns before snuggling in to her pillow. She feel asleep quickly, feeling egsosted from all the magic she usedOnce both were asleep one of the holy knights walked into their place with a spell know as wall walk. Ace was out like a light as the man walks over checking his clothing, ".." he knew it was shadow magic but he didn't know what to do but he put a tracker spell into his clothing.Liz groaned a little bit, her stomach felt hollow. She sits up, facing the wall away from the knight. She rubs her eyes and yawns a little."Go back sleep.." Ace moaned in his sleep as the Knight slipped into the other room while they talked, well kinda. Ace turned and looked at her, "...I told you should have eaten more." however ace was still asleep his eyes were closed and he flops back onto the bed. Heavy sleeper."But I wasn't hungry at the time." She said looking over at him. He was back asleep. Sighing she grabbed her bag and pulled out an apple she ate it before crawling back under the blanket and closing her eyes and falling asleep eventually.The knight walked over to where they were sleeping, looking at her he moves his hand near her wrist and casts a spell of binding magic, when ever she uses her magic he would know and find her with ease just in case his tracking spell didn't work with his clothing.She waved her hand at him. "Ace, stop bothering me." She mutters putting her face into the pillow.When he didn't answer the knight moved to run out as fast as he could. Ace woke up and saw a man running out. "....GEEZE! you sleeping with people while i'm asleep?"She rolls over to face him. "Wait, that wasn't you touching my wrist." She said her eyes suddenly wide. "Who came in here?" She asked sitting up quickly."No it wasn't ... and I don't know I thought you were sleeping with someone, you didn't take me for that type though." he sighs and looks at the door, "Lets check." he uses a bit of his magic as a spider made of shadows scurried across the floor to see who it was, "Your wrist ok yes?"It's fine.* she said standing up. She looks around the house, seeing if something was moved. She looked at her wrist.* why did it touched my wrist"You can figure that out i'ma go get drunk for once." he sighs and gets up walking down to the bar. There the knight was drinking trying to figure out his next move on the two. Ace orders a small drink before other gather around him. "You want in?" Ace looks up at them with tired eyes, "hu?" The men got excited, "A drinking contest, last one standing gets the gold." Ace looks at his bag, "Yah sure guess I'm in." It was then they all started drinking Ace never looked phased at all while the others were tipsy on their 5 shot.She watches them as they drink. She laughs a little bit. "Dose knights don't have a chance." She whispers shaking her head. She smiled and leans on the wallAce looked bored as he sighs. "how about this," he moves over to the bar grabbing a huge glass and pours till it was full. "I'll drink first than you guys." he chugs the whole thing before there were any complaints and holds the glass to them. All but Ace were on the floor passed out, "Dumb asses." looks like ace was an angry drunk.She walks over to him. "Come on, you need some rest." She said softly grabbing his arm, as she tried to pull him towards the room. She files scene he was stronger than him.Sighing he walked with her and rested his hand on his head while doing so he was starting to get irritated by his own actions. "What am I doing." he mumbled loud enough for her to hear but Ace was still upset once they were back in their room. Ace looks up at the mirror just waiting to mock him, as his face under the mask is shown ever so slightly. "Despite who I am, and what I want to do-.... There's no hiding what needs to be done." as he spoke he pulls off his clothing and walks inside the bathroom stripping of is clothing even if Liz saw him and stepped into the shower. She hears a bang as his fist hits the wall, what ever he was thinking was surly influenced by the amount of alcohol he drank. As he stands in the shower his hair falls over his face and he leans against the stone looking at his hands, 'why did I talk to her? why didn't I just go back to my old ways..... I know what must be done now but is it fear that stops me or her?...' he sighs as he his head is lifted by the sound of the door opening.Liz had one hand over her eyes. "Are you okay?" She asked. Once he wrapped his hand for her not to see he made new clothing from his shadows and walked out of the bathroom, "Get some rest, we move in the morning." it was still midnight so it's no surprise that they would need more sleep once he was near his bed he laid down and closes his eyes without another word spoken.She looked him over. The first thing she notice was his hand. It was wrapped up. 'Iier.' She thought walking over to her bed and lays down. "Good night, sleep tight." She whispers to herself as she snuggled into the bad and feel asleep.Once she was asleep he opened his eyes and turns over to see her, "..." he sighs and looks over at the window, '...tomorrow she will be safer.' he thought before rolling back into his bed asleep. Meanwhile the man that was tracking them before had already told the king of his finding. Pleased and astonished that he was successful he gave him a task of capturing him unharmed for now he didn't care about the girl. In the morning she would see Ace getting ready to leave waiting on her to wake up.Liz turns onto her back and sat up a little bit. She rubbed her eyes and looked at Ace. "How's your hand. " She said yawning. Liz stands up and starts to pack her stuff. She looks over at Ace. He seemed different from last night. His eyes where clouded and they seem to filled with some emotion she couldn't describe."my hand is fine, worry about yourself." he was packing up a few of his things before throwing a bag over his shoulder, "I can't tell you much, however I will say that when I tell you to run you do as I say understand?" he looks at her with a slight glare behind his eyes as the mask hides the rest of his face. Grabbing her hand he starts to walk threw the town with her behind him getting threw all of the people, his mind was preset on one direction. Once she figured it out she could tell they were going in the direction of the castle. Once he started to get close they were near one of the underground entrances. Two guards stand guard as the yawned seems they didn't get much sleep the night before. "Liz, once inside I need you to make sure that when i hand you something you run, no looking back UNDERSTAND?!" he said it loudly at her but still in a whisper that the guards could not hear himShe nods. "Okay, but why are we doing this?" She asked. Something had changed in him over the last night,his eyes seemed unforgiving,he looked stiff all the time. But she didn't ask many questions she just wanted to know one thing,"It'll be in what I give you, trust me... please." his voice was slightly shaken up as he opens his hand and a scythe was formed and he charged the guards before they spoke they were on the ground with their chests gushing blood. "Hurry." he get her to follow him as they went into the narrow space. But when it was time for them to go up into the castle he made a wrong turn, or did he? As they kept walking the lights got dimmer and he moves to a corner that allowed for them to take a break without being seen, it felt like they were in a sewer of some type. "Here." he opened his bag and handed her some food as he ate some of his own.She eats some of the food. After that she opened her pam and a flame came out. "We should get a move on, they probably know where here by know." She said softly as she looked around so she could get a better feel for the place."I don't think so, at least I never saw anyone." while they kept going she would see an opening that lead back outside. "This way." he motions her to follow but as she does that she would see off to her left chains that dangled the walls of a cave. It was were his father kept him but there was a building next to it that was used for people to worship the gods now filled with hand written notes there was one book on a table that Ace picks up and slides into her bag, "Get out of here I need to -" "Well well well. I should have known you would come back Alexander." the king was at the doorway leaning on it with a smirk on his face, "I will kill you where you stand!" Ace growls at the king. "And possibly kill your little friend here? Please..." Ace looks behind him as he looked at her and nods his head, with a thrust of his arm the back side of the building was broken to pieces, "GO!" he yelled at her while he charged the king bringing out the scythe once again to help defend himself. "GO NO TAKE THE BOOK AND RUN!" The king didn't know she had the books as he moves to grab her but Ace hits his hand and thrusts him back, "COME BACK HERE YOU WENCH!" the king demanded.She froze for a moment. Commands ran into her head until her feet carried her away from the king and Ace fighting. She held her bag close to her chest, careful not to lose them. She ran and ran. But this place quickly turned into a labrent as she toke turns without knowing where they go.Bloody screams echoed where Ace and the Kind once were. Guards charged after her trying to corner her, but they seemed as lost as she was. Once outside it was easy to hide in the bushes while the guards all passed her. At that moment an elf from one of the other lands grabbed her by her arm and yanked her up into a tree holding his finger against her lip. While they waited for the guards to pass he pull his finger from her lips, "Seems the humans here don't enjoy you or you have something they want. Why do you run?" Elves in this place were very uncommon but always were around trees, "... Come on girl speak? It's not like I'm going to turn you in."She studied the elf closely. She hated how he got so close to her with out making a noise. "Who are you?" She snapped at him, her hand gripping her bag as the other one had a blade made of fire in it. She had never meet a elf, she had always heard stories about them though, she didn't like them."Im here because I felt a dark magic as soon as I stepped foot on your land, The source was coming from the kings place so I followed it here, but what do i see other than a girl running from the guards with the same dark magic coming to me." he motions to her bag, "However that there is only a fraction of what i felt. I was wondering if this magic was friendly or an enemy of the land." He watched where the castle was and felt the magic, "There is a necromancer and something that feels like shadow magic fighting." he looks at the girl. "Are you friends with one of them?""He's my friend." She said nodding. "AND this matter is none of your business, just ignore us like you're kind all ways dose, it makes all of our lives easier." She snapped glaring at him. She felt her flames grown."Our kind? Who was the ones who ignored up when we asked for help- what one is your friend? The shadow mage? Or the Necromancer?" he tilted his head seems he knew more than she could see but as he spoke that he grabs her head, "GET DOWN!" And with a shove of her head and his magic pulled up she would find that everything in a 10 foot radius around the castle was dead even the tree they were in."What the-" he starts to climb higher ignoring her for a moment to get a better look, "What ever one is your friend, I don't think ether of them are in great shape""I have to get back in there." She said before taking off putting the bag on her back, not carrying for Ace's orders any more. She moved quickly through the the cave system. She eventually covered her mouth when she got closer to the blast sight of his magic. It smelled horrible as she movies closer. She stopped predicting a light source from her hand as it got dark. She moved around slowly looking for any thing that resembles Ace.At that time the elf had caught up with her, swift elves were and he was faster. "Hold on." he pulls her back as a guard walks past them as he pushed her against the wall and used magic that used nature so they were hidden behind several vines. "Look, I don't know you however if you start going back into this place I don't think you will like what you will find. But if you come back with me we can save your friend and find out what has happened to this place.- deal?" he kept her pressed against the wall whispering to her while the guard made his round and walked around the corner."Fine, and I could have took care of the guard." She whispers back looking a little. She didn't like the idea of him joining her, but if it was like the stories elfs had some healing power, and if Ace was hurt, he would need that."Then come." he starts to run fast in the direction that Ace's magic came from when they both got to where Ace was his eyes widen. He would find Ace strung up, blood running down from several locations of his body and the king bend over getting healing from several of his servants. Once he saw Liz had caught up he held her mouth and pulled her to the wall, ".. stay quite." he whispered before looking around the corner once more. "Alexander.... Your one hell of a fighter." Ace was breathing hard blood dripping from his lips as the king took one of the solders blade and stuck another blade into Ace. Screaming he struggles to get free. There was a weapon in almost every limb and his wrists, ankles, and neck were chained up. Even the Elf looked pained by what was going on and he didn't even know Ace. If Liz tried to help the elf would hold her back, "You realize there are 25 if not more guards out there!" he whispered loudly at her, "What ever the king is doing to your friend he will do worse i'm sure if you try to interfere. We can ask my people to aid you.." he looks back at the king, "And stop what ever this corruption is."She takes off the bag and shoved it at him. "I'm going out there, Ace needs my help, I can't let him die. " She said her eyes seemed to have something behind them as she spoke, it was hard to tell. "Run if I go down, but I remember the tales of your people, they know stuff about healing right? If so just foces on Ace for that, he needs it more than I do." She was calm as she spoke her words sounded more like an commanders of an arm then as a girl, like she had done this before."You damned humans!" He rushed with her and draws his bow shooting the guards one by one. The king was already hidden from sight by the healers and they were gone as well. Angered by this the elf kept killing the humans till he got to Ace who was barley breathing. "Break his chains! We will un-cuff him later!" as he yelled this he threw one of the humans at the others. 15 down but more were coming.She meated the chains with her magic. "Duck!" She yelled before sending a burst of fire magic around her, killing the solders that where coming.she heaved Ace up, barely able to hold him up."You damned humans are so weak!" he presses his fingers to his lips as growling is heard from inside the tunnel. The elf throws Ace over his shoulder still able to shoot his bow and started to head near the tunnel. Once inside a large spotted cat looked at him and growled, "Yes yes new people, now get this one out of here!" he talked to the cat while placing ace on his back. The Beast ran off as the elf grabs liz by the waist and starts to run along side the beast, "Here." he handed her the bag and kept running. "Your hard enough to hold as is. Very squirmy." Once they were out in the forest he plops her onto her ass and leans against the beast that holds Ace. (cheetah but very big enough for 2 people to ride) "You sir have a friend that you should keep....." he jokes before looking at ace who looked like he was dieing from all the blood rushing out of him."I should have never let left him in there, by himself." She said running next to him. She looked up at the sky. It was sunset and the sky seemed to turning a apropet scerlett as they made there get away."It would appear so.- here jump on, Duma is easy to ride use the bandages in her pack while we run to my village," he helps Liz onto Duma as he ran beside her to where his village would be, dodging the beast of the forest. Ace coughed up blood and was getting a nasty temperature Duma none the less kept running with her master and kept them balanced, "How is he doing?"Her eyes filled with worry as she held him up right in her arms so he wouldn't chock. His blood socked into her close. "I don't think he's doing really well, how far is your village?" She asked him, her voice clouded with worrie"A bit. But at this speed we should get there soon." He jumps over a stream and runs along side it and stay there for awhile, "Thankfully your King has his castle near us." he kept running trying to gain more speed once they were in elvish territory it was easy to tell. The air was clear and it was easy to breath. "Were are almost near the closest village." Ace opened one eye that was bruised, "..." his lip trembled once he saw Liz still in his sights he wanted her to get far away from him, but at least she had the book.Liz looks down at Ace and almost started to cry. She shakes him a little bit . "Where almost there just hang on." She said gently. She knew what tone of voice she was using, her mother had used it to calm her down when she got hurt, scrapped a knee or something that would make her hurt. She hugged him closer to her as they got to the village not knowing what to expect."Easy humans, were almost there." he grabs Duma's harness and started to run a bit faster if it not for the worry they would see just how fast elves were running. Slowing down once inside the village he ran on ahead while Duma stayed still. Ace breathed hard as the Elf and a friend of his it would seem came back. "The king was attacking him, this might help us." The other elf nodded and a few other elves grabbing onto Ace and helped him inside a house before closing the doors on Liz, "Sorry, It's bad for humans to see our healing magic. It's for the good of the mans life." The elf that helped her claimed before sitting next to the door with her, "Names Zedrid. Sorry I forgot to tell you before." He looks behind him hearing the healing happening and sighed, "If they can't heal him no one could."She nods. "My name is Elizabeth, but I prefer Liz." She said before looking around. "Is there anywhere I could change? My clothes are sucked with blood." She said looking down at herself."Sure." Zedrid stood up and walked in the direction of the shops, "However- I think you might have to pick from our kids clothing, None of the women here are as small as you." he didn't mean it to be rude he was actually trying to be helpful. Once they were in the shop he waved at the keeper, "I'll pay for her clothing" he then watched her to see what she wanted.She walks around. She looked at all of the cloths, they were all so buteful. She need out picking black pants with an bright green shirt.After a few hours and Zedrid showing her around town they stop and an elf runs over telling them to come see Ace. Rushing back to where they once were and entering the building they would see Ace wrapped up in bandages and half of his face covered up. "He was near death but clearly someone was trying to keep him alive." once of the elfs told Zedrid as he nodded and walks over sitting in a chair while Liz could have her talk with Ace who opens his one good eye.She ran over to him. "You are such an idiot." She said softly shaking her head, smiling a little bit"Your one to speak." he says back before starting to cough up a bit more blood. Zedrid's eyes widen, "say what you need to, I'm sure your friend needs more healing...." he was confused because he shouldn't need anymore than he already had. "..Sir-" "Ace." ".....Ace... tell me when fighting with the king, did he use a spell on you that entered your lungs?" Ace looked down trying to think before nodding his head. Zedrid lifted his head trying to think before seeing the bag on Liz's side. Ace looks at Liz, "Did you get it out?""Ya, and next time I'm staying in there with you." She said holding holding his hand. "You cannot always go silo, where a team."He smiles before resting his head back down cringing at the pain, "What the hell happened to you anyways?" Zedrid looked at him as ace looked his direction, "Necromancer, that's what my father is, and he raised his solders when I wasn't looking. By the time I saw it was to late." Ace said before knocking out. Zedrid looked at Liz, "So his father is the king? Why would he do something like that to his own son?"

"Ace has Shadow magic as far from I can tell, and in the kingdom, it's forbidden. So his father started out trying to keep him a live, but hidden. As you can guess, it didn't work." She said looking at the ceiling as she talked

"Honestly I don't think that so, to stop magic all you have to do is suffocate it with your own magic. Clearly his plans are far worse.-" he looks at the book and holds his hand out, "Mind if I see that a moment? It has the energy of both your friend and his father."

"What do you mean by that?" She asked confusion filled her voice. She looks down at Ace once more and sighed shaking her head."The energy? It leaves traces and even though his father was using it he was writing about your friend's magic." he moves and opens it up as a slip of paper falls out It looked like Ace slipped it in just before giving it to Liz, "......" Zedrid was reading part of the book before his eyes widen, "WHAT!- " he stops before pointing to one of the other elves, "Go grab messenger birds enough for each king and queen they must know and this must stop." he looks over at Ace who was struggling for breath, "Your friend's condition was not by accident." he rushes out of the building leaving the book, her, and Ace alone. If she was to look at the page Zedrid was reading she would see that his father was going to use Ace as a ticking time bomb for other places. Once he got to week to use his magic the binding spell hidden on his wrist this whole time would go in effect and the king could set Ace loose on others. However it did not seem Zedrid was going to kill Ace to make sure it didn't happen in face he was more keen on keeping him safe.She clamped her jaw shut. This ignorant baster was going to use Ace as a boom, his son, the only child he had ever had. She stands up and looks down at her friend. She softly touched his fore head. "I'll be back." She mutters leaving quickly. She won't ignore her job anymore,it was about time she stopped worrying about Ace and take actions into her own hands. She grabbed her bag, leaving the book under Ace's pillow and headed away from the village"Hey wait?!" Zedrid yelled as she passed him and a few other elves. Confused her am back to find ace still asleep and damaged. ".... what are you doing?" He questioned her actions even if she never knew he said them.She made her way back in town. She avoided patrols of soldiers and people who was looking for her and Ace. She made it to the castle around noon and waited quietly.While she was doing her own thing zedrid was working on writing to all of the kingdoms and telling them to get their forces up. Ace was laying in bad cringing at every move he made. An elf that was healing him always checked up on him when she had the chance.She moves into the castle quickly as the guards changed position. She made her way around the unfamiliar train.Ace sits up, "NO-" the elf grabs onto him and pushes him back down, "Yah need to stay calm- if not were all in danger." Ace cringes and black lines start to form onto his skin, "...-" the elf runs off telling Zedrid. "...His shadows i'm sure have forsaken him. We need to hurry" he says while letting the birds go to the other kingdoms, "We attack soon. without his son at his disposal, we should only deal with is solders, and none of them can hold back our elf army."She saw the king in a hall way and hide behind a wall, he was talking to someone. She hard him talking about. She grinned a little bit as they walked towards her. She feels her magic dance at her finger tips."If you can't find him there, take the south west quarters" the king was working on trying to find Ace and using his men to do so. Ace was trying his hardest to stay awake and keep his shadows calm. Zedrid was gathering an army of elves to attack the king. The king stopped and looked slightly over his shoulder before he raises his hand.She watches as his hand comes up. 'What is he doing?' She thought. She gets ready for any thing to come out. Did he know she was here? She suddenly felt watched for no reason, her fears where getting to her for a strange reason.She feels the air knocked out of her. She coughs a little bit feeling air come through at last. She looks at the kings feet. "We meet again, idiot." She said ceaching her breath. The ground around her caught on fire as she spoke."I'm the idiot, well- who was the one who got caught?" he looks at his guards, "Bind her." as he turns to walk away his guards use shackles that kept her from using her magic, "Oh- and take her to my champers, thanks."She tries to get free for them. She glares at him. "Let me free! I'll kill you for this!" She snapped trying to use her magic to let her free. She pulled and pulled away from it. She glares at him.The guards grabbed her once again and started to take her to the kings room. Once there she would see that it had a woman's touch. Ace never talked about his mother but clearly she was important. The guards left leaving her hooked up to one of the walls. While there she would find a note beside her foot, it was underneath the furniture and unless someone was sitting where she was no one would have seen it. If she picked it up she would see the queen had written it. "If you are reading this that must mean the king had captured you and taken interest. Please know that if you escape take the path I sketched on the back. My son is a prisoner of the king as well and he will help you escape if you help him escape first. It was clear that the kings army was just as corrupt as him. Ace rides on the back of a shadow wolf his life failing him as he slumps to the side all of his bandages and wounds worse for wear as he grabs onto the beast. "Find her and give her aid. I will give you power but no help after that." the beast nods it's head before waiting for the cover of nightfall to attack. The king was down eating in the great halls leaving her alone. Ace gave his shadows all of the power he could muster before passing out on it's back. The beast looks at Ace and uses it's shadows to keep him pinned to his back so he didn't fall off before he starts to make his way inside looking for her.She finds the pins and starts to unhock herself from the wall. She final gets out and tries to get the chains off of her wrist. She gives up and starts to walk through the castle. She hides from the guards. She ends up trapping one in a corner and having them take off her cuffs. She burns them to death. She walks through the castle a fire tunnel around her.The wolf started to kill the guards one by one making it's way further into the castle before he turns a corner and growls out loudly. At first he didn't know who he was about to kill but then once he saw it was her he stopped and sat down wagging his tail happily. Ace was on his back staying right where he fell the bandages were falling off slightly while the wolf fought.She looks over at him. Once she sees its Ace her fire goes down. "What are you doing here ace." She runs over to him. She tries to fix the banges. "I'm going to burn your wounds shut." She said after they slipped off two times. She put her hand to one of his shoulders, burning his wound shut with her magic
