Lincoln has hit a rut in his 12-year-old life, feeling like he wasn't going to accomplish much, his only reward was basically a pity reward from his sisters, his comic book series was the only popular cause of the characters based around his sisters, and his gaming skills weren't much to brag about.

After hearing about this, Albert decides to take Lincoln out for a Grandpa and Grandson camp out. Once there, they have fun; fishing, hiking, and other normal stuff. Then Lincoln hears of a legend of the Shane Secret, an old treasure hidden by a family known as the Shanes. Wanting to impress his grandpa, Lincoln goes out late at night to find this treasure with a metal detector and the skills to find anything in Lana's mess of a room. He manages to find

What he finds, however, isn't a chest or container, but a door leading to an underground bunker. Inside he finds little creatures that, according to a book in the bunker were known as Slugs, mystical creatures from a place called the 99 Caverns. He reads the book while befriending the Slugs, learning their given names, and even learning about them. Lincoln also finds at the end of the book, why they were here instead of in the 99 Caverns.

A man named Dr. Quintin Kalowski, who hated all Slugs, used a device that destroyed the nature of the 99 Caverns, making the land unsuitable for living that the last Shane, Eli Shane, came back to the surface to try and give the Slugs a new home, but was worried that the world wouldn't be so kind to them. Lincoln soon found from the Slugs acting it out that Eli had passed away to old age.

Lincoln felt sorry for the Slugs and was angry at Kalowski for what he had done. He then offered the Slugs a place at his home, which the Slugs happily accepted. Now Lincoln must keep the Slugs safe while hiding them from friends, family, and evil robots hunting them down.

NSL AU (depending on if I don't want to do it). It's been a full 2 years since Lynn began calling Lincoln "Bad Luck", and Lincoln's patience was wearing thinner and thinner by the day. His sisters' talents slowly deteriorated as they relied on Luck too much, resulting in Lincoln taking the blame for their losing streak. 

If not NSL then this would be the starting paragraph; It is the year 2022, 2000 years since an ancient Monster/Human war. The war was forgotten by the Humans while the Monsters were trapped in a mountain with magic barriers keeping them inside. Humans now believe Monsters to be nothing more than fictional tales.

One day at the Loud House, Lisa was having Lincoln test out a new machine, a wristwatch based on technology from a little over several centuries ago. Created by someone named, "🕈. 👎. ☝✌💧❄☜☼" Or W. D. Gaster in Wingdings. What it does, no one knows, Lisa was the only one to create anything out of the papers found in the lab where they were discovered. Upon activating the device, Lincoln finds himself on a mountain and is bumped into a... boy... girl...?

It was unclear what gender the kid was but after they bumped into him, Lincoln falls into a cavern while the young child runs home, confused and scared by the sudden appearance of Lincoln. What will Lincoln find in this strange underground? What will our young hero go through? Will he have the Determination to face uncertainty? Will his Bravery help him in times of fear? Will he bring Justice to injustice? Will he show Kindness and Patience to enemies? Will his sense of Integrity and Perseverance keep him strong? Let's find out...
