At the north of Kyoto, around the Edo period, there's a beautiful couple. The man, Katsuo, who seems to be a tall, muscular man who has short black messy hair, pale skin and black eyes, noted to be rather handsome by people around. The woman, Ayame, is the village most stunning beauty and similar to her husband, she has black hair but it's straight and long with bangs right above her eye , pale skin and black eyes. 

It is heard that on a snowy night, Ayame found Katsuo fainted under the snow near her house, which is pretty far from normal house. She brought him home and healed him, and today they become lover. 

People in the village knows Ayame as a very hard - working tailor and they often admires her for her kindness, intelligence and beauty. Katsuo is known for his unnatural strength and really helpful with hard jobs such as chopping the woods, tilling the soil, clearing the snow after winters,... Needless to say, everybody admires them and always hope that they can become husband and wife. But they don't know what is their true identity. 

Emi is Ayame's closest friend and also the most understanding people in her opinion. Emi already has a husband, Kaede and a daughter, Hanae. Emi often visits Ayame's house and helps her. One day, while helping Ayame, she asks : " Ayame, are you doing well with Katsuo ? It has been about 2 years since you two live together. ". Ayame replies : " I suppose that I am happy with him, and so do him, maybe. I don't want to rush things to hard for him and why do I need to rush, I'm only 19, my life is still very long. ". " Hmm... well you are young, I must say, you haven't change much since 17 and that concerned me a bit if you do aged. Anyway, are you sure you are doing well with him ? ", asks Emi. " Sure with no concerns ", Ayame replies. " Okay, then. But if something happens just knock my door, got it ? ", Emi says. " Okay ", Ayame answers with a beautiful smile. 

Soon after that Emi has to leave and come back to her home. Ayame is standing in the doorway and waving her. Suddenly a dark smoke surrounds her and right after her is Katsuo and he hugs her. " Tadaima. My dear, how are you doing today ? ", asks Katsuo. " Okaerinasai. I'm doing great. I sold 5 kimonos today. How about yours ? ", Ayame says. " Well, as the head of the Oryoumo clan, it's awfully tired nearly everyday, especially when you escapes them and leave it to your brother. ", he says. " Poor you, let me get some tea for you, Emi helped me make them. Let's try some and I'll massage for you. What do you want for dinner then ? ", Ayame says. " As long as it is cooked by you, whatever it is will be fine. ", Katsuo replies. " Fish and rice then, I will get prepare. Just lay down and look our beautiful garden. ", Ayame says. " Thank you, my dear. ", Katsuo says and kisses her in the cheeks.  

Their house is a normal traditional Japanese house, but it has a lovely garden with sakura blossoms.

They seems to share a lovely and peaceful vibe in a small village. But now we know that Katsuo is the head of Oryoumo clan, and let me tell you, they are a clan full of monsters ( in Japanese we will call them ayakashi and youkai ), and he's running from it, with an unknown reason. What happened with him ? What does it mean by Emi's word with Ayame's appearance since she was 17 ? Find out at the next chapter.
