Blood.

Blood lay in a pool before me. I froze in shock.

In the middle of it was a girl.

A dead girl.

I shrieked and backed away, immediately calling the police.

As this happened, a boy with black and red hair ran over to me, his hazel eyes filled with shock. He removed his glasses, cleaned them with his shirt, and replaced them.

"Did you see who did it?" He asked when I finished. I shook my head fearfully.

Who would kill an innocent girl?

I heard a noise and saw my friend, Sean, run over.

"I saw who did it!" He said, panting.

"Who?" Asked the boy with red hair.

Sean looked up and hissed "Jen."

"No!" I shouted. "Why would she kill someone!?"

"Maybe she is a..." He trailed off and we stood in silence. I knew what he meant.

Sirens sounded as my eyes filled up with tears.

I shook my head.

"But someone killed someone there!" I shouted, standing in the kitchen while my mother made breakfast.

She sighed, turning to me.

"I know, but you can handle yourself! Your father taught you everything he knows. You'll be fine!" She said.

"But mom!" I said.

"Your mother's right." Said my father , walking into the kitchen.

I sighed and gave up, going up to get my stuff. I came down and ate my breakfast and walked slowly to school.

As I walked in, I quickly found Sean. His green hair stood out against the rest of the students.

"We should stick together." I said. He nodded.

We began towards the first class, when we were joined by Jen. Me and Sean were tense.

She poked my arm. "Hey, can I ask you something privately?" She asked. I looked at Sean and nodded.

"Ma-" he began.

"It's fine. Go ahaid. I'll catch up." I said. He sighed but walked to class.

Jen lead me to the storage closet and closed the door.

"So, what is it?" I asked, looking around wildly.

I felt a tiny prick in the back of my neck, and shrieked. I should have not let my guard down!

Blackness.

I was tied to a chair in someone's basement. I struggled, trying to get the ropes off of me.

I heard footsteps and looked at the door. It wasn't Jen though.

It was Jessie.

I narrowed my eyes. Maybe Jen had been attacked also? Or she was a set up?

He stood before me, and I glared at him. I made sure to not break eye contact.

"Stupid girl, you fell for it so easily!" He said. I smiled.

"Or did you?" I said in a taunting way.

"No one knows your here. I made sure."

"I guess you overlooked one tiny thing."

"And what may that be, May?"

I laughed and shook my head. "Do you know who I am?"

"Really?" He said in disbelief.

I smiled and stared at him. His smirk faded, and the ropes slowly unwound by themselves.

"I am Foxpai, daughter of Death and Discord." I said, slowly rising. He was widening his eyes ad the lights slowly flickered out.

"I am the future ruler of earth and all dimensions within it." I added. He backed against the wall as I glided to him slowly. Shadows followed me as I came up to him so that our noses almost touched.

Then I took his knife and stabbed him in the heart.

He collapsed as I laughed. I dipped my finger in his blood and wrote on the wall.

"Death and Discord at your door."

I stepped back, proud of my work. I came up with it on the spot, so it was fairly good.

I laughed again and glided up the stairs and out of the house, covering the neighborhood in darkness. I made it to my house and landed, going inside. My parents waited at the table.

"Very good." Said my father, smiling.

"Yes. Did you collect the soul?" Asked my mother. Means her both shared a love for human souls.

I nodded.
