The world is protected by a large band of heros with special gifts. Apparently, only one who is supposed to follow in one of the hero's footsteps can find their hideout.

And I just found it.

I stared at awe at the reddish treehouse hiding in the forest of Redwoods. I was merely visiting California, I never expected this.

I knew it was them, I saw one of them go in there.

I rushed towards it, my eyes wide with excitement. I searched for a ladder, but there were none. I looked around nearby trees for one, with the same results.

"How do they get up there?" I said under my breath. I had to go up there, I just had to! Something was calling for me.

An idea formed in my head, and a small smile formed on my face. I rushed to a nearby tree that was taller then the treehouse and began to climb it, like I had practiced back at home.

I reached the point where a small window in the treehouse was facing me, and I ducked behind a nearby branch with some leaves on it. I saw a young woman with golden brown hair walk to the window and stare out of it, with a man talking from somewhere inside. The woman's grey blue eyes slowly traveled around, and landed on me.

I held perfectly still, and she winked at me and mouthed "I won't tell them, go ahaid. I want you to scare them."

I blinked and began to slowly climb out of the hiding spot, then scrambled up the tree.

I felt her watching me for a bit, then she turned away and went inside. I felt relived at that, I didn't like being watched. I was also glad she wasn't upset either.

I got up higher then the treehouse, at the point where it wouldn't hurt me if I jumped off. I stood on a branch and jumped off, landing with a loud thud on the roof.

I heard a help or two and some voices whispering in confusion. I stood up and walked over to a deck, wondering what they would think.

The woman stood there, smiling. "It gave at least one of them a scare." She said. I jumped down onto the deck and looked at her.

She was fairly short, but probably my age. She seemed to be sunburnt on her face, and had a few freckles also. She wore black pants and a Star Wars shirt, with black boots to match it.

"My name's May, but most know me as "Portal" because people are wierd like that." She said, holding out her hand.

"My name's Keltie." I said, smiling and shaking her hand. She turned to the door to go inside. "Come on, you should meet the others." She said, and the door swung open.

She led the way inside, and I followed closely behind. The door closed behind us, and I felt many pairs of eyes on me.

"Found her on the roof." Said May. A man who seemed to be her age with black hair and amber eyes stood up from where he lay on the floor and walked over to me, circling around me.

I stood still, waiting till her reached my line of vision. He stopped in front of me and I stared back.

"Keltie, this is Prometheus. He is "Portal 2" to most." Said May. I nodded and he turned away, sitting down on a bench against the wall.

"Over there is Isaac, most call him "Winter" " she said, pointing to a boy with dark brown hair, ice blue eyes, and glasses. He nodded and I shivered, I don't like how it seems his eyes are reading your mind.

"And that's Lilly, who is referred to as "Spring"" May pointed to a girl with short blonde hair and grass green eyes. She smiled and waved, and I smiled back.

"Nick, as "Summer"" a boy with dark hair and skin, and red eyes. He nodded at me.

"Ron as "Fall"" a boy with blonde hair and almost grey eyes. He glanced at me then continued reading.

"And then Felix as "Storm"" a boy with blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

I wish still in shock at how quickly I had gone from an obsessed nerd to a welcome guest, maybe even member!
