Just Normal

A small girl trekked through the woods. She ran her fingers through her blonde hair, her grass green eyes darted around wildly. Tears streaked down her face. Why can't she fit in? She held a green Legends of Zelda backpack, a pink lunchbox in the other. Her white skirt with pink polka dots was splattered with a crimson liquid, along with her blue blouse.

Suddenly, a twig cracked. She froze, turning to face the direction of the noise. She dropped her stuff and pulled a kitchen knife out of her lunchbox.

Everything was silent, except for her steady breathing. Then a siberian husky slipped out of the trees. It seemed normal, except it had a smile roughly carved into its face, and it seemed to have human teeth. The girl fell to her knees, sobbing. She dropped the knife.

The husky whimpered and darted over to her, licking her face gently. She wrapped her arms around its neck.

"I just want to be normal!" She cried. The dog whined and she released him. She stood, grabbing the knife and slipping it into her skirt. She picked up her backpack and lunchbox before she started walking again. She walked deeper and deeper into the dark forest.

After a while, the pair reached a huge mansion surrounded by a wall of brick, covered with vines. She walked in through the front door, and up the stairs. She reached a pink door and walked into the room. It was blue with pink polka dots, and a bed with blue sheets. She dropped her backpack onto the floor next to the door, before closing it and falling into the bed. She sobbed loudly.

A 16 year old female with midnight black hair, leathery white skin, and a black dress walked in. She sat on the edge of the bed, a bloody kitchen knife on her lap. She stroked the girl's hair.

The girl looked up at her. She sat up.

"What's wrong, Zelda?" Asked the teen. Zelda sobbed, before responding.

"They bullied me again. They threw me against the wall and took the money out of my backpack, before stabbing me with my own knife." The girl stammered, between sobs.

"They took your knife?" Said the woman, shocked.

"Yes..." the girl sobbed. "So I snapped, like mommy does sometimes. But I can't help it!"

"Your mother can't help it either, Zelda." Said the woman.

"Why does Jeff make me bring it, Jane? I know you hate him but you seem to know him the best." Said Zelda.

Jane was silent. Zelda did have a point there. Jane hated Jeff, because Jeff killed her family and turned her into what she is now: A killer.

The door opened to reveal a boy with pale skin, blonde hair, and red eyes that were releasing a red liquid. He wore a green outfit.

He ran over and Jane stood, moving out of the way. He picked Zelda up and hugged her. The girl sobbed into his shoulder.

"What happened this time, Zelda?" He said softly. He casted a meaningful glance at Jane, who nodded and left, beckoning for the Husky to follow. She shut the door quietly behind her and the dog.
