As some of you guys know, Digimon was literary my childhood. Back when I was 6 years old, I would come home from school and do my homework in record speed in order to catch Digimon on TV, which was aired at 7:30 everyday. It was called 'Abtal Aldigital', which translates directly to 'Digital Heroes'.

Pokémon also aired back then, and I loved it just as much. But after complaints and criticism from parents poured in, the channel announced that Pokémon is going to not be aired anymore after season 1 ended. I was mad at that,but at least Digimon still aired!!

When I watched Digimon in English and compared it with Arabic,I noticed a LOT of differences.

1) The digivolution process: In Arabic, digivolution wasn't the Digimon going to the next level. It was them 'calling the Digital base' to bring their next form.

2) The. Names: Well, I saw that coming, but not to such an extent.
First of all, Tai was named Amjad, Sora was named Samar, Matt was called Yamen, Izzy was called Shadi, Mimi was still Mimi, T.K was called Wassem( That literary translates to 'beautiful child' in Arabic XD). I don't exactly remember Joe's name, but Kari's was Hind. The main difference, however was the Digimon names. The were given ACTUAL NAMES. Not as in, (X)Mon. I don't actually remember any of the Digimon names. In 02, Davis was Omar,Yolie was Nagwa, Cody was Hani, and Ken was Kamal. In Tamers, Takato was Naiem, Henry was Hani,Rika was Rana and Jeri was Lamis. The main poison, however, was Suzie. She was called *Wait for it!!!!*

In frontier, Takuya was Osama, Kouji was Amir, Tommy was Tamir,Zoe was Basma, Kouichi was Samir,and I don't remember JP.

3)Censoring: I never really minded till season 4, but if you watched season 4, you will forget Zoe. She was often censored because of her outfit and Digimon form.

Savers and Xros wars were not translated yet. They will probably never be.

Oh,and thought about it,and I am gonna try and translate your OCs into Arabic names if you allow me to. Should I do that.?
