Whatever happened to liking things? Shows, movies, books, ect?

It feels like I can't like any of the shows I watch or books I read because it makes me seem like a really gross or disgusting person.

What happened to just accepting that everyone doesn't always have to have the same fucking opinions?

If everyone had the same opinions as everyone else, this would have never begun. And the world would be miserable.

Let me enjoy warriors and wings of fire or let me be in the HH & HB fandoms.

It's my comfort tv show and I really like the fandoms for the most part. Why is it suddenly a big joke?

Saw someone on tiktok say the following:

The caption on the video was 'when a ____ starts talking', and the video itself was a Lucifer pfp from HH.

And the comments were asking why. Why is this show so fucking bad for some people?

And the creator had the audacity to respond with 'i know you all smell like shit and never take showers.'

Like excuse me?

Back the fuck up.

Just because I like a show, that makes me disgusting? Am I gonna be trapped in a dog cage next? Get locked up and have fruit thrown at me like the fucking 1800s?

And this doesn't just go for HH or HB. Any fandom has its haters, some are just more extreme.

I've seen so many of these videos. It sickens me. Literally fucking disgusts me.

I saw someone say reading warriors makes you a furry.

There's nothing wrong with being a furry/therian, but this book series doesn't cause it.

Let me read my favourite books in peace for fucks sake

Let me watch all my comfort shows without being treated like trash for liking a show.

Going back to the video from before, I saw another comment.

Some very brave person commented something along the lines of 'well aren't you a bundle of joy?' and the creator began to diss on them for being rude.

Like why don't you stop being rude for once?

Let someone watch what they wanna watch. If you don't wanna watch it, don't. If you don't like the humor, don't watch it. If you don't like the plot, don't watch it. If you don't like the creator, don't watch it.

Ps, not hating on this creator in general. This is just an example of sorts. This happens all the time on the internet.
