How we found each other in hell
Olive POV
7 months in hell. Everything seems normal, the only difference is the seemingly no limits to laws and the red sky's that took over the atmosphere. Whatever. I still can't stop thinking about Kaymen. She is probably destroyed after my death, she really shows how much she loves me. UGH! Focus, Olive. Hundreds of sinners are watching you perform. Leo looked at me with annoyance, he could tell my thoughts were overflowing my mind. As he began to play "Karma Police" by Radiohead a little more violently, I was back on track. As I was singing, in the corner of my eye I see the silhouette of a woman falling from the portal that entered hell. Usually I would shrug it off, but I had a feeling this wasn't an ordinary sinner. As soon as the song was over, I snapped at the curtains, closing them. I ran to Leo and told his to play a certain song, rather than the one that we were originally gonna end up on. He nodded and shuffled through the music sheets as I ran back to the center of the stage. I snapped the curtains open and cleared my throat. "And now, the end is near. And so I face the final curtain... My friends, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case of which I'm certain. I've lived a life that's full, I traveled each and every highway. But more, much more than this. I did it my way"
The last song I ever sang as a human, and Kami knew it.
Kaymen POV
I rubbed my head and stood up, surprised to see I wounded up here in a different body, but at the same time it was still my own. I slipped my hands in my pockets and walked around, knowing Olive was far too innocent to be in hell. She was probably laughing and happy in heaven. But as I came closer and closer to a certain place, a familiar voice that was singing I could hear. Could it be? "Regrets, I've had a few, But then again, too few to mention. I did what I had to do, And saw it through without exemption. I planned each chartered course, Each careful step along the byway. But more, much more than this.. I did it my way" the voice sang. I picked up speed as the voice was getting louder, stronger, and closer as I kept running. That beautiful voice was so familiar, it had to be Olive, but how? I approached a well lit area with a stage. The first thing I saw was a man playing piano, a crowd of people and a demon in the same suit that Olive died in. It didn't look quite like her, but I just knew it had to be her. I pushed through the crowd and made my way to the front of the stampede of demons. Tears streamed down my face as I saw my little Olivia singing her heart out just like normal. She didn't see me, here eyes closed tightly shut.
As she hit the last note the crowd went wild cheering for her. I did the same, waiting for the curtains to close so I could run backstage. Finally they closed and I ran as fast as I could up the stairs and backstage. I saw the man that played the piano, but no sign of Olive. "Wh.. what?!" I mumbled in disappointment. I was startled to feel someone jumping on my back. I panicked and tried to get them off until I heard them sing a little tune. My panicked expression quickly turned to a smile as I looked behind me to see that adorable little face resting on my shoulder. "You buffoon." She said to me. "OLIVIA!!" I dropped her and hugged her as tight as I could. "You look so- different!" I exclaimed. "Tch- I look different?! Look at you!"
Olive POV
"Olive, darling, time to go. Who is this?" A crimson and mahogany haired demon asked. "Oh, yeah um... Kaymen, this is my friend Alastor, Alastor this is my friend Kaymen!" I said a little nervous of her reaction. She seemed a little stern at first, but shook his hand. "Nice to meet you, my friend! Now, shall we get going back to Charlie?" Alastor asked. "Yeah, Come on!" I grabbed Kami's hand and dragged her to the sidewalk.
A few minutes later we picked up Angel Dust from the strip club, Alastor was practically covering his eyes since he was only wearing his pants. Once we got to the hotel, everyone officially introduced themselves. No one bothered to ask about her and I. After a long day, I got in my pajamas and tackled Kami, not letting go until the aching pain in my cheeks from smiling involuntarily for months now would muffle away. "What's wrong, hun?" "When you come down here, you always end up having to deal with something you don't want to do that reflects your human life. Mine is the inability to stop smiling." She stroked my hair and had a look at my face. "Alastor's always smiling. How does he cope with it?" "He doesn't have to. He chooses to smile." Just then, a very loud pounding was heard at the door to the hotel. I got up from the couch, ready to attack.
To be continued....
