Ok, over Christmas Dinner I had to sit at the table, (I'm the only Gen Z there) and listen to family members say how Gen Z's Depression isn't real and we just want attention.

When asked what I thought about this, I thought, but didn't say, All I have to say, is that we weren't raised being told that your gonna have a great job and a great family, and we actually were told the exact opposite.

So when being told that, puts you into a state where you understand that the world is a terrible place, and nothing that you work hard for matters. This is called realization. And that causes depression.

But I didn't say that. All I said as I left the table was, "At least we don't have to bash other generations to feel better about ourselves. We already hate ourselves" 

And as I left, I heard my sister say, "And that's the tea sis"
