Pat's POV
"Oh my god, she's gorgeous." My friend said. I saw who he was talking about. Jen. I waved at her. She came over to us. I flashed her a smile. She let out a small giggle. I flashed the call me sign at her. She nodded and winked. I sat back. My friends were staring at me. "Dude. How do you know her?" One of them asked. "I met her at the shelter." I said. We headed inside.
After school that day,  I saw Jen talking with her friends. I waved at her. She motioned me to come over. I ran over to her. We were talking about stuff when I started to feel the urge to kiss her. I quickly pressed my lips to hers. I was thinking that she was going to pull back. But I still felt my lips to hers. Soon she did pull back. I noticed that she was grabbing her stuff. "Did I scare you?" I asked. "No. It's just that.." Her voice trailed off. "It's just what?" I asked. Jen blushed. "I was hoping that I'd kiss you first." She said. "Oh." I said. I was about to leave when she ran to me and kissed me. She pulled back and grinned. "Well. Will you be my boyfriend?" She asked. I nodded and held out my hand. She took it and we left the school hand in hand.
