When did you start writing?

Sometime when I was little.

Do you write by hand or use a word processing program? If so, which hand/which program?

I usually use a Notes program.

Which perspective is easier to write: male, female or other?

Umm, I don't really know. As long as I "know" the character, their personality, mannerisms, etc., then I can easily write any kind of character, male or female.

Which is easier to write: basically good or basically evil characters?

Pretty much the same as my answer to the previous question. I guess I could say I enjoy writing good guy characters more, except when it comes to Steeljaw and Fracture. They're fun, especially when human and vulnerable. But as to which is easier, I don't really think any is easier than the other, as long as I "know" the characters I'm writing.

Is it easier to write first person, second person, third person limited, or third person omniscient?

Probably third person limited for me. I usually start writing in either first person or third person limited depending on the feel of the story, but I've realized that a lot of the stories that I started in first person have been changed to third person in order to keep writing it, and then it ends up becoming third person limited. I've never tried second person, though I've been wanting to for a while. I just need a plot idea that can become a CYOA...

What do you have trouble writing?

I have trouble starting a book/story, aka figuring out how the first sentence/paragraph or two will introduce the story, and I have trouble coming up with things to stretch out the story.

What do you like to write?

I like to write media tie-in fanfiction (also sometimes called Canon Compliant fanfiction). I didn't know there was a term for the way I write, but apparently there is. Basically, media tie-in fanfics are fan stories that can/are able to fit into the official canon of the universe you're writing about without anything/anyone seeming out of character and without interfering with canonical events. (See in-line comment for more about media tie-in fanfiction.)

I also like writing characters with complex personalities. Like in real life, how no one is purely good or purely evil in action and thought, fictional characters that are multifaceted are more believable, and I enjoy writing them.

How do you often begin your writing?

Well, with my book, I started out by trying to create a synopsis for what I already knew about the overall story and separate synopses for each of the individual chapters. Once I have a decent synopsis done, then I just start writing the beginning of the chapter. And as I continue to write and get more ideas, I add on to those synopses.

With my one-shots, how it usually works out is that I write out an idea that I usually just got a second ago, and then I run with it.

What is your writing habit that you are aware of?

I have a tendency to skip parts and chapters and not come back to them for a while. I also don't write every day, which I should start doing.

Any tips?

When you get ideas, try to write them down as soon as you get them.

And keep a dictionary and thesaurus by you while you write. They are extremely helpful when trying to figure out the right word to use that most fits the emotion, feel, and context that you're wanting to portray.

How long does it take you to finish a piece?

Depends. Usually it takes anywhere between one-and-a-half days to a month to get a chapter or one-shot finished, though if you take just the time I spent on writing that chapter or one-shot, on average it'd probably be between 12 to 18 hours, maybe 20-24 hours at the most.

The part that usually takes the longest for me is the thinking of how to say what I'm wanting to say. Heh, it even happened as I was writing this.

What music do you listen to while you write?

It depends on the day. I don't normally listen to music, but when I do, it's instrumental music, preferably from the fandom I'm writing about, otherwise whatever catches my interest first.

How long does it take you to come up with an idea?

Well...

Let's just say that I get ideas all the time, but I don't usually get the ideas I want for quite a while.

Your favorite genres when writing?

I like to write fanfiction, and I guess adventure and mystery. I like adding bits of mystery to my stories whenever I can. 😁

Your favorite genres when reading?

I like reading fanfiction, mystery, adventure, action, stuff like that.

Your favorite writers?

Irl: C. S. Lewis, Carolyn Keene, and Pomander, just to name a few.
Wattpad: Arya_Skye, Bumblemus_Prime, julescardy, PninaStar
FanFiction: SaltwaterJanuary

What kind of writing are you aiming for?

Currently I'm just aiming for stories that accurately fit into the canon of their respective universes without causing incongruous continuity issues. Overall, I'm hoping to someday write original stories kind of like Chuck Black and Pomander; stories that are interesting and exciting, but that also include, teach about and give glory to God.
