Merida POV

Jack and I have been friends for over 7 years now and we have a routine. Every Friday when my mom comes home late from work and no ones home I go to Jack's house. I skipped the 30 minute bus ride home and walked to Jack's house. I always had a secret crush on him and it was killing me.

As I walked I saw the familiar colorful wind chimed covered house. A smile crept on my face as I reached the porch and pressed the doorbell. Instead of the white haired flirt I was expecting to see, Aster, Jack's brother opened the door with a seemingly confused face.

"Merida? Umm didn't Jack tell you? He has a date with this Elsa chic and wont be home till 10." He said in his thick Australian accent.

"Oh...um no he didn't mention anything about a date," I said while my heart ached a bit. Then I remembered the obvious. " Crap, I missed my ride home!" My house is at least an hour walk.

"Hey don't worry! Now that you are here you can help me with something!" He announced  pulling me inside and closing the door.

"Okay! So the annual Easter Egghunt at the park is in two days and I'm in charge of decorating the eggs! You wanna help?" He explained with a childish smile.

"I mean I guess...It could be kinda fun." I said shrugging.

"You do know how to dye eggs right?" Aster asked me raising a brow. "Seems easy enough." I said hoping it was as easy as it seemed.

An hour later.....

Ooooh boy! Was I wrong!

"Aster I can't do this!" I exclaimed dropping yet another hollow egg shell.

"It's alright Red these are enough..." he said getting out the broom from the closet. "Here." He said handing me the broom and began clearing the table.

"Hey Red how about we watch a movie to pass time?" The blue haired guy said stroking his quiff. "Umm, I'm not really in the mood" I mumbled, remembering again why Jack wasn't here.

"Look Merida don't take it too hard okay." Aster whispered giving me a warm welcoming smile. "How did you know?" I asked him with a wide eyed expression.

"Oooh Meri, Meri, sweet innocent Merida..." I glared at him. "All these, what? 6 years?" "7" I corrected him. "Okay seven. I've seen the way you looked at him admiringly while he did God knows what! But it's time to move on..." I looked at him. I saw a true genuine smile.  A smile that could knock any girl off her feet.

"I know I should move on but I dont know to who..." I said trying to explain my situation. 

"How about me Red?" I looked him in his eyes and saw
