"Hiccup stop teasing!" Giggles. Ugh I get so pissed when girls flirt with him. I know im not his girlfriend or anything but him talking to other girls always gets me...so...jealous? No it can't be we're just friends, but it could be... I don't even know anymore. He's walking my way...act cool Mer.

"Merida are you okay?" Punzie whispered in my ear. "Yeah you know just haven't been getting enough sleep."  Which  is partly true beacuse I have been spending my nights thinking about Hiccup.

"Okayy," she answered not really convinced, "Well I have to get going Flynn is probably waiting for me in the parking lot for our date." She sighed gave me a half hug and strutted away.

"Hey Merida" Hiccup said rubbing the back of his neck.  "Oh umm... hi how you going- I mean how's it doing- ugh What's up?" Wow I have never felt so stupid before. "Well I was wondering if you wanted to vome to my house to hang out. Jack, Rapunzel, and Flynn are coming over to watch a movie."

"Umm sur- "Oh yeah and Astrid is coming too!" That left me speechless. Astrid...how I hated her she was always around Hiccup ever since he was captain of the basketball team. She flirted like there was no tomorrow, and according to her Hiccup stole a kiss from her.

"So yes or no?" Hiccup asked me.

"Oh umm yeah sure whatever." I answered and ran out of the school. I felt so helpless. He's the first guy I actually like and he likes another girl. She's blonde slim and petite,  and me? Im talk , not so skinny, and a ginger. "A souless ginger..." I sighed I started to weep. Between each sob I sniffled out something I hate about myself. "Im not good enough. Im not pretty. I hate my life...I hate me." I cried out. I was behind the school bawling my eyes out over something stupid. So stupid it made me go mad.

"Mer-merida what's wrong?" That voice. I felt so infuriated but it wasn't his fault it was mine for being so dumb.

Hiccup POV

"Mer are you okay?" Of course she wasn't okay, she's crying her heart out. Damm it Hiccup why are you so stupid.

"It's okay *sniff* its just there's this guy I like but he probably likes this other girl because she's blonde pretty and well she's not well this..." she explained gesturing to all of her.

"Well he's stupid if he doesn't like you because you are much more beautiful than any blonde out there." I smiled a genuine smile at her that seemed to cheer her up. She liked someone else probably on the football team. MacIntosh. She liked MacIntosh. "MacIntosh is stupid if he doesn't like you..." she was looking down and suddenly she bolted up frowning.

"I don't like MacIntosh!" She seemed mad and now im scared. "I dont like anyone. I love someone."

'Well he's a very lucky someone' I thought.

"YOU are very lucky then." She said and turned her face the other way.   

'I said that out loud?'

"Wait so you like me?" I asked dumbfounded.

"Yes Hiccup I do." I felt so happy that I grabbed her face and

squished her cheeks. She looked a little ticked off so before she could say anything I swept some curls behind her ear and kissed her. I felt her tense up but she then kissed back, then we were completely snogging. This was the start of the best part of my life.
