Merida was about to cross the street when a man came up to her and told her to give him her money.

Jack was listening to blaring music from his car driving down the street.

Merida was fighting to get out of the mans grip. She kicked and kneed and bit.

Jack was driving as calm as ever. He stopped at the red light and waited.

Merida got loose and ran for her dear life. She ran blindly unknowingly running onto the street.

The light turned green

Jack pressed on the pedal and Merida ran.

Thud.

Jack POV

I tried to hit the brake but it was all too sudden. There was a body in front of his car. I looked around no one was there to witness this. If this person was dead I could easily drive away. The lump of red hair started moving.

I stepped out of the car, and began walking towards the lump.

I picked the girl up and gently shook her.

"Hey...umm...girl..wake up?" It came out more like a question.

"Ple-ease...Don't kill me...." she whispered.

Kill her? What the actual heck!?

"I'm going to call an ambulance i said placing her back on the ground.

5 hours later.....

I am still at the hospital. The girl hasn't woken up and she didn't have any form of identification on her. I said the truth and everyone seemed to have believed me. I just have to pay for all her medical bills and stuff.

"Mr. Frost?" A short troll like lady said walking towards me

"Yeah?"

"The lady has awaken."

I walked towards the room where a nurse was feeding the girl because apparently she broke her arm.

"I'll do it." I said wanting the nurses out.

"Um.. okay."

They scurried out and closed the door.

"Why did you do it?" I said breaking the silence.

"Do whut?" She asked.

"Jump in front of the car? For money?" I said.

"Of course not! I was running from a robber and I didn't see the car and I'm not even in my hometown! I was looking for a friend's house because he was taking care of my dog!" She yelled.

"Oh. Wild question. Is your name Merida?" Her eyes widened.

"How did you know?"

"My roommate, Hiccup, was taking care of a huge doberman. His name was Anger? Angst?"  "-Angus."  "Yeah!"

"Wow! To know that his roommate was right there." She laughed.

"Yeah..." I said my smile fading.

"I'm really sorry about the arm." I whispered.

"It's okay. I know it wasn't your fault. It was mostly mine." She quieted down.

"No it wasn't. It was an accident! Now open your mouth..." I said placing the spoonful of jello in her mouth.

"I'm sorry you have to do this." She said with her mouth full.

"Well I don't have to." I said pretending to leave.

"Wait! Where are you going?" Her voice was anxious for me to stay.

"You want me to stay?" I asked faking suprisement.

"Who else is going to feed me jello?" She smirked.

"I like you already." I returned the smirk.

"Merida?" I said as she picked up the phone.

"Yes Jack?" She answered her voice still groggy. It being four in the morning and everything.

"I love you."

I heard her breathing, and then sigh.

"My heart is beating to fast for me, Frostcake."

This made me smile. She only used that nickname when she was happy.

"But I love you too, idiot."
