Dunbroch old times

Merida POV

The wind in my hair. The rythm of Angus. Shooting arrows. My life couldn't get any better than this. But today I want to go another way in the forrest. Not through the glen. I took a swift turn to the right. My mum would be angered with fourteen year old me. "Hyah!" I yelled making Angus go faster. We were speeding towards the middle of the forrest. I wasn't shooting any arrows anywhere, because it felt like I was being called into the woods. Angus jerked to a stop and I flew off of him and onto the ground.

"Angus!" I said a bit shakey. Angus just neighed and galloped back the way we came. "Angus!! Come back!" I began running after him but my dress got stuck to a fallen tree. I looked at my surroundings.... this is where I found Mor'du...

In the distance I heard a blood curdling screech. That made me rip my dress and run. But that wasn't Mor'du it was a human sream. I ran to the former castle which is now a pile of rubbish. "Help me!" Was all I heard. I panicked and ran to the voice. Someone was buried in the walls of mor'du's lair. "Umm I'll help you just keep calm!" I yelled. I pushed away a big piece of brick and began pushing the smaller ones, until finally I got the person out. "Ooow my body....." groaned the boy..he didn't have a Scottish accent and the only place near here was Berk...hes a viking!  "Where are you from!?" I questioned.  The boy slowly got up he looked about my age. Roughly. "Im from the island of Berk, and you have no right to talk to me farm girl because I am son of the chief!" Farm Girl! Son of the chief?! "Well chief to be I'm Merida and I could turn you in whenever I want!" We glared at each other but he softened up and looked down. "Im s-sorry let's start over....My name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third" 'Hiccup' said while putting his hand out. "Im Merida Dunbroch, first born descendant of Clan Dunbroch." I said shaking his hand. Then his eyes went wide.

"Oh my Thor! You're a princess I am sooo sorry! Umm here you can have this as a sorry gift." And he handed me a Jade Necklace.  "Y-you want me to put it on?" He asked rubbing the nape of his neck.

"Hiccup calm down I won't throw you in the dungeon or anything, but how did you get here?"

Hiccup POV

"Me and Toothless were flying alongside Jack Frost, when we were struck down by Pitch Black aka Boogeyman. Jack Frost fought back but Toothless was falling and  The saddle ripped. I was falling in the air and my dragon was-" I was rudely interrupted by Merida putting her hand on my mouth. She seemed to be hearing something. She pulled me into a bush. At the same moment I saw a bear the size of ten men run by. It had arrows sticking out of its upper body and an axe was sticking out of its hind leg. When it was long gone Merida grabbed my hand and ran into the forrest we were running ten minutes straight. I collapsed on the ground. "Mer-merida what was that?" I said now frightened. "Mor'du...Demon Bear" she said in almost a whisper. We heard a rustle in the bush. Merida pulled me upwards and she froze. A black creature came running at us she pushed me to the side and ran but tripped over. She was crawling away from

Toothless??? "Toothless Stop!" I yelled and he stopped. Merida looked like she might faint. "Toothless this is my friend  Merida okay she wont hurt me. Or you...right Merida?" I said looking over at her wheezing her heart out. "That thing was after me!!" She said one hand on her heart the other motioning to Toothless. Toothless growled. "-but I forgive him and won't hurt him! please don't hurt me..." She yelled and her voice was a whisper at the end. Toothless went up to her and saw how scared she was. He nuzzled her neck and she stroked his snout. He had never done that with anyone. "Hiccup umm I kinda lost my horse in the forrest can you help me look for it?" Merida said a bit embarrassed. "Sure Merida. Hey we can ride Toothless! If you want..." She looked at me then at Toothless. "Sure!" She said. "But first let me fix his saddle I said. I sat down and began fixing it drowning out my surroundings.

Merida POV

He was fixing the saddle very diligently. I stared at him. He had these eyes that were the greenest I've ever seen and the way his eyebrows furrowed while he was working. Toothless nudged me towards him. "Toothless...he probably has a girlfriend doesn't he?" Toothless growled when I said girlfriend. "Is she that bad?" I asked Toothless. He just snorted indignantly in the air. "Wanna do something while Hiccup works?" I asked the black dragon. He began running towards talll grass. I ran after him. Unexpectedly I landed in a stream. I saw Toothless pawing at something in the water. I looked closer and realized....fish. I took out my bow and Toothless growled. So I put it down and decided to catch fish with my hands. It's way more difficult than I thought it would be. I caught my first fish but that thing wiggled around more than my brothers when it was bath time. It slapped my face with its fin and I landed butt first in the water. I got up and saw Toothless.....laughing? "Oh yeah you overgrown lizard!" I said kicking water with my feet. Toothless soon joined pouncing in the water trying to splash me.

Our game went on until someone cleared their throat. Me and Toothless both stopped and looked up. It was Hiccup wide eyed, he then started laughing his butt off. Me and Toothless looked at each other and smirked. Suddenly, Hiccup was as wet as us. "Guys! C'mon." I shut him up by pulling him in the river with us. I laughed and pulled him up. Our faces were mere centimeters away. I felt something push my head forward and we kissed. I pulled back embarrassed and so did Hiccup. "Im s-sorry it was an acqhq...accident!" I tried explaining. While Hiccup was saying "Oh my gosh if Astrid finds out I'll be dead...." Astrid... just hearing her name gave me a pang of jealousy. "Hiccup can we look for my horse now?" Hiccup stopped freaking out and smiled. "Sure thing lets go! C'mere boy!" He yelled at Toothless who had caught a fish whole we were freaking out. We were high up when I saw a horse figure in the glen.

"Down there Hiccup!" We swooped down and I held onto Hiccup hard. He tensed up so I released my grip on his waist.

We landed softly and looked around I could've sworn I saw a horse here!

Hiccup POV

Everything was quiet it was sort of creepy.

The serene scene was shattered by a roar. Toothless quickly got into battle mode. There was Mor'du with Pitch Black I saw as he shot out black sand I felt a pain in my chest. I looked down and there was black sand seeping it's way in my skin. BLACK. I could only hear Merida screaming my name out, but it too,soon faded away.

Merida POV

Hiccup collapsed after being shot by that wierd gray dude. "Merida... I am Pitch Black. And your friend here will live if we make a deal..." the man said getting nearer. He was circuling around me like a buzzard seeing its prey. "What's the deal?" I said with a brave voice when really I was scared as hell. "He will live but all his memory of you will vanish. He will live on his days become chief of his tribe and die of old age but he will forget everything that happened. Deal?" I thought about it. I couldn't think Hiccup would die because of me so I accepted. "Deal." I said confidently. I only knew Hiccup for a day but it seemed like we knew each other for forever. Now he won't ever remember me or anything. "Here is your dear horse and your only friend Merida." He said in a mockingly voice, yet he was right.
