(Rabbitpelt's POV)
Silverpelt's coat glistened and gleamed over the forest. The warm, humid air of greenleaf smelled of the fresh earth. Nothing but the chirping of crickets echoed through the horizon.
And the meowings of cats charging into a sudden battle.
I felt the rush through my brown pelt as we charged into battle with RiverClan. My fellow Clanmates were right by my sides as the yowling, hissing cats drew closer.
The ongoing fight of the Snakerocks was about to continue.
The same conflict that caused my sister, Cedarbreeze, to die, was about to continue.
I pounce on a golden tom, and sink my teeth into his shoulder. He yowls in pain, but rakes his claws against the side of my face in revenge. I lose my grip, and he shoves me off of him.
I stumble backward and run straight into a long-haired she-cat with large claws and shimmering gray fur. She hisses at me and swipes her claws across my flank. Angrily, I sink my teeth into her lower back, the taste of warm, fresh blood appearing on my tongue.
Using her thick-furred tail, she whips me off of her body before running off.
Knowing she was too long gone now, I charge toward a muscular, scar-covered tom. I jump, but he knocks me over in midair.
As I slam to the ground, his crimson-stained paws hold me down to the rocky ground. I can't get up.
His black tail lashes from side to side in excitement, as a murderous glow shines in his yellow eyes.
I recognized the cold-hearted stare immediately.
The same pair of eyes that belonged to my sister's killer.
But I can't retaliate; I'm pinned down.
He licks his lips and opens his mouth.
My sister's killer bends down...
And sinks his teeth into my neck.
The unnatural feeling of pain shoots through me like a lightning strike. My vision blurs as I let out a loud yowl of pain.
Through my foggy vision, I watch as the black tom releases his grip on my throat. His muzzle is covered with my blood, and he seems to admire the taste.
I can taste my blood on the back of my mouth as well, but I'm sickened by it.
He gets off of me and runs off with his Clan back to their camp.
I struggle to stand up, and when I do manage to get to my paws, I collapse back into my pool of blood. "G-Go to the Dark Forest, R-R-Reedstem!" I hiss at the killer.
Is this what death feels like?
I slowly close my eyes as my Clanmates gather around me.
But when I open my eyes again, I only see one cat by my side.
Her reddish-brown fur sparkles in the unnatural light. Her leaf-green eyes shine like stars, full of happiness.
With my somewhat hoarse voice, I ask her name. A name I knew all too well.
My sister.
"C-Cedarbreeze?"
(I hope this is alright! CinderflightWarrior)
