I think every author should do this with their MCs.. You need to know what makes your characters tick. You need to know them better than they know themselves. A good way to do this is sit them down and give them a little interview. Feel free to use this for your own characters!!

• What do you consider your greatest achievement?

That’s pretty hard. I think all my achievements are pretty great. But I think the look on Kat’s face when I rose to full power again is the best.

• What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Flying. Definitely. Being a human has its perks but being my true self, a dragon is way better. Humans are too smelly, small, and weak. But I am the Ventus Magnus Rex, the strongest dragon in the world! I can fly as fast I want, wherever I want. I am the king of the skies, completely free in my territory.

• What is your current state of mind?

Ralem just woke up, finally nurtured back to health from inside my mind. Many times I thought I had lost him. He was so weak and small inside my head. But I never stopped believing he’d come back **glares pointedly at Arianna** and he did. I’m being pretty protective because he’s as weak as a hatchling and there’s too many nosy people here.

• What is your most treasured possession?

Well I have this diamond that I saved. It’s really big and matches my scales really well. I think it would look really good by my ear or on my shoulder. But I guess if people count as possessions it would be Ralem.

• What or who is the greatest love of your life?

Love? What do you mean by ‘love’? I don’t really understand it all too much. I know Ralem has a weird feeling with Arianna, I guess that would be it. No, I haven’t loved anybody like that.

• What is your favorite journey?

Our first flight. Because for one, Ralem wasn’t all worried like he usually is. And also it was our most memorable flight. Not thinking of the fish that attacked us of course.

• What is your most marked characteristic?

My powerfulness. I am just full of power. Just check out my wingspan! And my glittering scales!

• When and where were you the happiest?

I was the happiest either on my first flight, when I ate that delicious pie, or when Ralem woke up. I’m not sure. But they were all memorable.

• What is it that you most dislike?

I really hate it when people try to tell me what to do. I hate it even more when they call me names.

• What is your greatest fear?

I don’t really have fears.

·         Do I have to ask Ralem?

*sighs* Okay. I’ll tell you. But don’t tell anyone… I’m sort of a little bit s…sc….scar… scared of getting controlled by that Kat. That was the worst thing that I’ve ever experienced.

• What is your greatest extravagance?

I am a extravagance! But I do have a hoard that is growing… I have two boots now full to the top with diamonds and other gems. But definitely NOT emeralds.

• Which living person do you most despise?

Kat. But she’s gone now so I guess that doesn’t count does it… **Ralem gasps as he just steps in with a drink. “What? She’s gone? Oh yes… now I remember. You really took her out with a bang. Oh yes, carry on.**

• What is your greatest regret?

That I wasn’t able to break free of her enchantment on my own and blast the woman to bits before she could even try to control me.

• Which talent would you most like to have?

Are you kidding? What talent do I not have? Well… I guess I wish I could control Ralem like he does to me. Then I’d get to make him bake pies for me every day. **Ralem shoves him** I was kidding! *mutters* kind of…

• Where would you like to live?

I would like to live in a huge castle full of gems and pies all just for me. **Ralem rolls his eyes**

• What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

Being controlled by a woman while you are a human. Now that is terrible. Being completely helpless and humiliated

• What is the quality you most like in a man?

Like as in Rider? Well, I like the ability to lead and being pure in heart. I hate greedy people.

What trait do you hate in others?

Greediness. And when they think they are so high and mighty. Blech.

• What do you most value in your friends?

I honestly don’t have too many friends… but I like friends who don’t invade on personal space too much.

\• What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

Humbleness. I don’t think it should apply to dragons. We have a reason to have pride in ourselves.
