here is Bulletclaw trying to explain a bullet and gun to Mosskit:

Mosskit: "what's a billot?"

Bulletclaw: "a bullet."

Mosskit: "oh...what's a bullet?"

Bulletclaw: "It's an odd smelling pebble that twolegs put into a long stick. When they paw at a twig on the stick it makes the bullet fly out really fast. So fast you can't see it! I think twolegs use the bulletsticks to kill things because they don't have claws. I've seen my housefolk use one on a wild dog once."
