How does imagination work? How do we come up with stuff we've never seen?

Hydrogen has one electron. What would happen if that electron somehow got taken away and the atom would be left with no electrons?

Veins are made of cells. The job of veins is to deliver blood with good stuff to every cell in the body (which is honestly incredible). But how do the cells that make up the vein get their food and oxygen and stuff? Do they just take it directly from the blood?
