Person A and Person B work at rival bakery's across the street from one another. They bicker and argue, and are in some kind of cupcake war to outdo each other, even if both their staff members think they should just kiss and make up (literally).

One day, A's oven breaks and can't be repaired, or may even need to be replaced, and they can't do any baking. In a panic they go to B to suck it up and ask politely if they can borrow their oven. Initially B refuses due to their rivalry, but after seeing A so distraught over their situation and practically breaking down back in their own bakery, they relent and allow them to use their ovens.

After a few months and more bickering and arguing, A doesn't need to replace their ovens, seeing as they merged the bakery's together in light of their blossoming relationship.
