Hello guys, gals, and LGBTQ+ pals! Welcome to this chapter. This chapter and the three chapters after this are going to consist of Filipino stories I had to summarize in English (the language, not the subject). These may not be accurate, so if you are gonna rely on this, please take them with a grain of salt. This chapter will contain Ibong Adarna and stuff. It's up to the point where Don Pedro and Don Diego betray Don Juan. Hope you enjoy this. (This is copy-pasted from my notes.)

IBONG ADARNA IS NOT MY OWN WORK. I JUST SUMMARIZED IT. I JUST WANT TO MAKE THAT CLEAR. 

Some terms you need to kinda know:

Ibong Adarna: A magical bird that could turn people into stone (the birb has seven songs.) (I have abbreviated it to IA in the summary.)
Piedras Platas: The tree where the IA roosts
Don Pedro, Don Diego, and Don Juan: they're siblings (I have abbreviated them to DP, DD, and DJ in the summary.)
King Fernando and Queen Valeriana: Parents of DP, DD, and DJ, King and Queen of the Kingdom of Berbanya

In the faraway kingdom known as Berbanya, there was a king name Fernando. (Berbanya has good connections with other kingdoms.) King Fernando's wife is Queen Valeriana. They are both well-liked by their people. (They're a happy couple :DD) They have three children, Don Pedro, Don Diego, and Don Juan. Don Juan is the favorite child.

King Fernando asks kids what they want to be when they grow up; they all say "king." Then King Fernando goes, "If you want to be king, you better act like it." The princes are excited and instantly start studying.

King Fernando dreamt about Don Juan being killed by two silhouettes. He was panicking about the dream. He got sick because of the dream. The healers could not heal him at all. Only then, the Ibong Adarna is the only one that can heal him. The healer could Queen Valeriana where the Ibong Adarna was. Queen Valeriana summoned Don Pedro and ordered for him to find the Ibong Adarna. He obeyed. Don Pedro prepared his horse and left the kingdom of Berbanya to find the Ibong Adarna.

Don Pedro's horse died, forcing him to walk. On his journey, he found a leper. The leper was hungry. Don Pedro said, "Sorry, but I can't because my adventure seems far." Don Pedro then the Piedras Platas, the tree where the Ibong Adarna roosts. Don Pedro goes to the tree and waits for IA. Don Pedro then feels tired. IA then sings and changes the feathers' colors. After the first song of the IA, DP sleeps. After all the Ibong Adarna's seven songs are done, it pooped on Don Pedro, and he turned into stone. Kingdom of Berbanya is still in sad mode :((.

Don Diego is the next to go find IA. Don Diego encounters the same leper Don Pedro had encountered. He said, "Oops, sorry, the journey I have still seems long." Don Diego found Ibong Adarna's tree, Piedras Platas. Don Diego rests for a while. Ibong Adarna found Don Diego. It sings seven songs, and its feathers change seven times. Don Diego sleeps (on his brother's rock body). IA poops on DD and DD turns to stone.

Don Juan gets worried. Don Juan then asks his dad to let him go find IA. The king refuses. Don Juan insists, and the king finally says yes. Don Juan asks for a blessing, then sets off into his journey with a horse and with five pieces of bread. He finds the same leper DD and DP encountered and gave him his last piece of bread. Leper gave water to DJ. DJ reveals his tragic backstory about his s i c k father. Leper gives instructions to DJ. Leper says don't go directly to Piedras Platas and go to the hermit and he will give you tips on your journey. DJ finds Piedras Platas and tries to find the hermit. The hermit helps DJ. Hermit gives sintas (shoelaces) to DJ for catching IA. There's also a cage and vase given. (All the items DJ received: labaha (small knife), dayap (citrus fruit; like calamansi or limes), sintas, cage, and vase to un-stone his poopoo brothers)) DJ flexes at the IA by cutting himself and squeezing lime juice into them. When the IA tried to poop on him, he dodged it. DJ eventually caught IA and puts in the cage. DJ puts water into vase and pours it over his brothers who turned back into humans. The siblings went to the house of the hermit, and ate. The hermit then gives DJ a small bottle and tells him to pour the liquid in it over his cuts. They brought back ze IA to Berbanya. But DP and DD talk about something on the way back: sabotaging DJ. They eventually decide to beat him up and go back without him. They lie to their dad saying that DJ didn't make it. Then the IA starts to look poopoo.
