Tired and bagged eyes gaze around the room. Hanzo couldn't sleep...again. His hand grasped the blanket gently, listening to the noises of the nature outside as dusk arised. Those nightmares always plagued him, rarely did he ever get a good night's rest anymore. Although when he did, it was always when he had had fun with one of his coworkers and his dreams were full of him. As the sun rised, he tapped the small screen on his wrist. "Good morning, agent Shimada." Hanzo let out a short groan, nearly annnoyed at the positive voice.
"good morning to you, Athena.." as he made his way to the bathroom, he listened as athena gave the weather and other daily knowledge. There was a huge chance of rain, meaning there would be a very minuscule chance the shooting range would be open. Hanzo raised a hand in the air, feeling the wrinkles on his skin and the deep bags underneath his eyes. He tied his hair in a bun and got dressed as usual. That coworker he thought of before wouldn't be here today, as he was on an investigative mission. Lena's group would be coming back today, that means his brother would be here to greet him once again. It was hard to even look at genji's physical form without gagging at the memories. Hanzo wore the outfit he wore most day's when he wasn't leaving base or going on a mission. A white tank top, black jeans and combat boots.
As hanzo was brushing his teeth, he sat on his bed, allowing his dragons to jump onto his shoulders. Their snouts roughly rubbed against his cheek for attention, their tails wrapping around his shoulder and biscep. Hanzo had named them, secretly, after genji's dragon. Hanzo had never thought of good names and so when he heard of genji's name for his dragon he couldn't help himself. They were udon and somen, both similar ramen names of genji's soba.
Hanzo finished his daily routine as he grabbed his bow and arrows. He trained pretty much every day, no one questioned him and he was happy with that. "Udon, Somen." the two dragons begrudgingly hopped off his shouldrs and laid in their bed pushed to the corner of his room. Hanzo gave a smile and a wave to them before leaving to the shooting range. It was doubtful anybody would be up at this time, especially since it was five in the morning. Outside was still quite dark, although the base lights quided his way. The base walls were pristine, always looked new, even though it was quite antiquite in its years. Considering this place was built when overwatch was banded together.
Hanzo pulled the arrow back, narrowing his eyes at the target and furrowing his brows, and as he lets go of the arrow, a high pitched and electronic voice disturbes the peace. "Hello brother!" the arrow falls from the bow, barely knicking the target and piercing the ground.
"Hello..." hanzo spoke with almost a growl in his throat. The cyborg approached the older, pressing something on his neck that allowed his mask to come loose. With a smile, he stared at his brother, an almost devilish gleem glistening in his eyes. "Your...back quite early." hanzo rested his bow at his side.
"I wanted to be here when it happened brother!" with a raised eyebrow, hanzo responded with a confused tone.
"What will happen?" hanzo still stared at the target, contemplating the arrow fallen beneath it. Genji, ignoring the question completely, went to the topic of his mission.
"Have you ever fought a deformed yeti? Well i can say I have and it wasn't pretty. The teeth were so jagged and-" Genji ranted on about this 'deformed yeti', allowing hanzo to zone out for a moment. His thoughts swarmed him with misleadings and other distractions. Not long after, he was brought out of his thoughts by a hand being laid on his shoulder. "Are you even listening, Anija?" hanzo pressed his lips into a thin linem as he shook his head.
"Yes, sorry, what about this deformed yeti you're so intrigued about?" Genji rolls his eyes with a small smile on his face.
"Hm, can I ask you a question?" hanzo slowly nodded, begrudgingly staring at his brother. "Have you ever been in love brother?" this caused hanzo's heart to skip a beat. Had he really ever experienced love?. He wouldn't exactly call an abusive father a lovely parent. Nor could he call the endless suitors he was being put with. He had been feeling something lately towards another, but he could never put a finger on it. Maybe what he was feeling was love.
"I-..." hanzo didn't kniw how to respond. Yes, no, but both didn't make sense. "I don't know, not for sure." genji gave an interested look. His head tilted to the side as he stared at his elder brother. He hummed for a moment then smiled again.
"Well, alright, anija. Let's have lunch together later?" Hanzo nodded in agreement and watched as the cyborg exited. He sighed, stretching the string once more with another slim arrow.

The day went by quickly, lunch reaching and the bell jumping the archer out of his skin. He growled at the digital clock on the door behind him, gathering his arrows, the ones he had pierced, and headed to the mess hall. He placed the quiver and bow by the door as he headed inside. He saw most of the members there. The only one's that were gone were with Mccree's group. He took a seat next to his brother, not bithering to grab any of the food out on display. "Hello anija!, why didn't you grab any food?" Hanzo leaned on his hand.
"Wasn't hungry" the cyborg shrugged, turning and talking to his friends beside him. Hanzo spaced out, staring at the lunch table as he thought.
"Heya darlin" Hanzo's head jerked up at the sound of that familiar western accent. He immediately sat up straight and folded his arms on the table.
"Weren't you supposed to be released tomorrow afternoon?" The cowboy sat opposite to the archer, a careless smile caressed his cheeks.
"Yeah, but we got a change of plans." Mccree laid his hat on the table before taking his armor off. There was the sound of metal clinging once he let go of the last starp. A relieved sigh escaped the cowboy's lungs as he stretched his arms out.
"What sort of change?" The archer was intrigued that both teams that had left weeks apart from eachother had arrived on the same day.
"It was somethin urgent, dunno if i could tell ya." Hanzo nodded, not bothering to pry into what it was. He tapped the watch as saw as athena greeted him once again. "So uh, what are ya doin later tonight?" this caught the archer by surprise.
"I'll most likely be training." he gave a simple answer. The archer could hear as the cowboy fidgeted in his seat. As if he was nervous. His metallic hand tapped against the wood of the table.
"Oh...well, how bout we get dinner instead?" a cautious smile replaced that quite admirable careless one.
"Quite an interesting offer." mccree's face began to grimace in anticapation, both of his hands now tapping against the table. Hanzi gave a smile and tilted his head a bit. "Yes, I quite think that might be lovely." the stressful look on jesse's face as he laid his head on the table. Not even a few seconds later, the entire lunch hall was shouting. What the hell was going on today?. Hanzo thought as he got up from the table. He didn't realize he had agreed to a date with younger man until genji came up to him.
"Brother! Oh my god! You're going on date! I feel so proud!" Hanzo blinked for a moment, processing before his entire face turned red. He began stammering, glancing between the cyborg and the cowboy.
"I-I must go! I-ll be in my dorm!" without thinking, he bolted out of the lunch room and ran the entire way to his dorm. He sat against his door, his breathing heavy and his face hot. Hanzo knew this answered his question. He really was in love.

It was late afternoon as hanzo got dressed. He had been told through athena's comm that mccree needed him ready. Not knowing what to reply, just simply followed the instruction. The archer had surprisingly never been on a date. In reality its not all surprising. In his youth, he would always be too busy training or dealing with his father.
Hanzo dressed antiquetly, he wore a black jacket with a white bottom up underneath. Some simple khakis and fancy shoes. He tied his hair loosely with a small ribbon made of white silk with florent silver patterns. Hanzo sat on his bed fiddling his thumbs like a child. Why am I so nervous?. He asked himself. Then a firm knock came to the door. Hanzo opened the door, nearly stumbling on his way. "Ah, you're here." Mcree tipped his hat to the archer. Hanzo couldn't help but chcukle as he saw the jeans and leather jacket. A look a slight dread covered the gunslingers expression.
"Uh whatcha laughin at, darlin?" hanzo gave a smile, walking forward.
"Just enjoying how predictable you are." both agents face's were red from the comment, and neither really had the courage to say anything after. They simply walked on, towards their date.

The date itself wasn't what hanzo and mccree were expecting. There ended up being a lot of casualties. Some most cliche ones at that. Mccree spilled a glass of wine on hanzo when they had gotten their drinks. Hanzo's jealously was imeasurable and unpredictable. Finally, at the end of the date, mccree nearly pulled his gun on some lo level thug.
To say the least, the two were pretty tired. The cowboy left a soft kiss on the other's hand as they stood in fron of hanzo's room. "I hope you had a good time, despite all o' the things that happened.." mccree rubbed the back of his head.
"It is fine, I quite enjoyed it, and I wouldn't mind another" Hanzo lissed the gunslingers cheek, resting his arm on the door frame after.
"Aha, aw sweet heart. Ur throughin me fer a loop there." he chuckled quietly. "Does that mean ur askin me on another date there, darlin?"
"Maybe I am, maybe i'm not." he grabbed a small piece of paper from his pocket, handing it to him. "And maybe this will answer your question." Mccree opened the note, seeing Hanzo's personal number inside. A light cherry dusted his sun kissed cheeks.
"It sure does, an' I got the perfect idea fer next week." Mccree gave a tip of the hat as he walked off. Hanzo closed the door, smiling uncontrollably as he laid down on the bed. Maybe being lovestruck wasn't so bad after all...
