!!Slight spoilers for season 3 of BNHA!!
Habiki swung open the door to his room, flicking the light switch. He grimaced when the lights didn't come on and flicked it a few more times before ultimately giving up. It wasn't uncommon for the power to randomly go out where he lived, and it'd probably come back on in a few minutes anyway, so he shrugged and dropped his bag.
Then Habiki remembered two very important things. He was staying at the dorms in UA now, and UA's power doesn't go out.
"Hana!?" He called, quickly turning a corner, only to be greeted with his dog sitting happily at the feet of two people, only of them gently scratching the top of her head with two fingers raised.
"It's a nice dog you have," the man spoke, placing another finger on her head. "Keep quiet, and she gets to live."
Habiki nodded immediately, glancing between the two men sitting on his bed. One of them was wearing something that felt far too formal for casual clothes, resembling a bartender's outfit, and looked to be made out of black smoke. The other was slouching with a hand attached to his face, messy light blue hair falling between the fingers. The man dressed in all back, the only color in his outfit being bright red shoes.
"Some birdy told us you don't wanna be a hero," the man with the hand over his face spoke. "That sounds quite odd for someone going to a hero school."
Silence fell over the three until the man growled out an "answer me, damn it."
"No, I don't, I-"
"That's enough." The man said again. "We also know about your little quirk. Try to keep answers short."
Habiki nodded, his throat going dry. These people were probably the ones behind the USJ attack, and possibly the Hosu attack, too. Plus, they have a stark resemblance to the people who were a part of the giant fight the lead All Might to retirement.
"We thought we'd stop by and give you a little visit, find out your motivations and all," the blue-haired man, which Habiki can only assume is Shigaraki Tomura, said, leaning back and cracking the joints along his spine.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand-"
"We're offering an opportunity to join us," Kurogiri cuts in.
"Why would I want to join you?" Habiki hisses, and Tomura wiggles his pinky finger in a gentle reminder that the life of Hana is in his hand.
"Let me handle this one, Tomura," Kurogiri says, standing up and walking over to Habiki, who he towers over. "Because you won't have to be afraid with us."
"Afraid?" Habiki echos.
"Yes," Kurogiri confirms. "In the Leauge of Villans, there will be on one who calls you a disgrace, or an outcast; evil or unworthy, and you will be welcomed, a part of the group one may say. Your power will be celebrated and used in the way it was always meant to be. You will not be afraid; all you need to do is come with us."
Habiki's heart clenched. "I can... and people won't be afraid of me, either?"
"No."
Habiki glanced down to his dog, smiling happily up at him as her ears are gently scratched. "And Hana?"
"Is that her name?" There's a slight smile to Kurogiri's voice. She can come too, and I'll do everything in my power to make sure no harm comes to her."
Habiki nodded lightly. "Will I still be able to attend UA? Will this be a permanent thing on me?"
"Only if we don't get caught." Kurogiri makes a motion like putting his finger over his mouth, wherever they are.
Habiki mulls over the offer. He won't be losing anything he already has, everything he worked so hard for, and now there's an offer for so much more. For security. For a place where he doesn't feel like everyone secretly thinks he's terrible because they're all terrible. A long time ago Habiki told himself that he'd never become a villain, just to stick it to the man. But now his hold on that process is wavering.
"And if I want to leave the group at any time?" He asks one final question.
"We'll burn that bridge when we get to it." Kurogiri answers.
Habiki smiles, a small smile gracing his features, and looks up to meet Kurogiri's eyes, two pairs of glowing yellow eyes meeting each other. "I'll join."
Kurogiri's eye thins out as if they're crinkling from a smile. "Wonderful."
Kurogiri opens a warp, Tomura getting up from his spot on the bead and muttering out a "finally, I was getting bored," before disappearing through the warp. Habiki nervously glances around his room, before looking to Kurogiri.
"We won't be gone for long," Kurogiri assures, offering a hand. "I'll return you before curfew."
Habiki smiles and takes Kurogiri's hand and steps through, Hana following close behind.

"Sir, the power in a General Studies dorm went out about two minutes ago," a staff member informed.
"Do you know why?" Nezu inquired, taking a sip of tea.
"No. It seems to be an outside problem at the moment."
Nezu set down his tea with a light 'clink' and made eye contact with the assistant. "Do we have any heroes near that area?"
"I believe so, yes."
"Send them over immediately."

"What's up?" Mic answered in a cheery tone, pressing down on his earpiece.
"We have reason to believe that there may be a situation in the general Studies dorm. The second floor on the male wing, towards the end of the hall. Can you check it out?"
"I'm on it," Mic replied, losing his playful tone and dashing over to the dorms. He suddenly becomes aware of how long it took for the door to process IDs before bolting to the second floor. When he flung open the door of the dorm belonging to Habiki Ito, he caught only a glimpse of a purple warp closing, or it might've been his anxiety getting the better of him. Hurridly he flicks the light switch, relieved when the lights flickered on almost immediately.
Mic leaned back to gaze over the students walking through the halls. He spots a familiar face and makes his way over, flagging them down.
"Heyy, Shinsou! Have you seen Ito lately by any chance?"
"Mmm, no," Sinsou says, shoving some food into his mouth. "But he usually walks his dog right about now. He'll be back in a little bit."
"Ito has a dog?" Mic questions.
"Yeah. She's a Great Pyrenees, named Hana. Sweetheart, you'll know her if you ever see her around. Later."
Mic watches Shinsou walk away, his shoulders slumping a little. He rubs at his face under his glasses and mustered up another smile. Maybe they're all a little too on edge for their own good.
