Lost Soul

Willow was walking down the street in the dark. Everything was silent and all the lights out. But, she couldn't shake this feeling, some kind of force was pulling her. It pulled her here. It was strong, tugging at her whole exsistance.

Willow looked up, her eyes glazing over the empty streets or the small town. Nothing, still. There was a small whisping noise darting across the market and Willow's attention snapped to it. A small ball smoking at the top was glowing dimly floating around franticly.

Willow walked up to the small white force she had come so familiar with as souls. Except... The ones she sees are black, the ones damned to Hell. This one was white... Why? She took the soul gently in her hands, seeing a figurefade into view. It looked like... CB? Only feminine. She was beaten with a gaping hole in her chest.

The figure noticed Willow, smiling warmly. She couldn't believe it... A demon was holding a pure soul. A soul of a lost loved one at that. She figure looks up to Willow, her wounds slowly healing.

"Hello, Willow," she smiled, her wounds healed. "I've heard so much about you."

A tear ran down Willow's cheek as she stared at the soul in her hands. The woman suddenly dissapeared, turning to mist. It floated around, forming a home with people.

It was her life. She was sharing her life with Willow. The demon watched silently as it passed through childhood and into teen years. When early adulthood rolled around Willow saw little babby CB in his mother's arms. Willow smiled warmly at the bond between the two. She could tell they'd do anything for each other.

A black silouet stepped in, infecting the happy atmosfer with a sickening pang of fear. Fear of what though? Willow's ears fell back as she watched his affect on both their lives. She was excited to see him in Hell. Suddenly one day seemed more grim. She knew that it was her last day alive. The two adults stood there, one filled with rage and the other with compassionate reasoning. Suddenlh he pulled a gun on her, cocking it and aiming straight for her heart. With a sickening boom he pulled the trigger, the bullet piercing her straight in the heart.

Willow felt it. The bullet pierced her skin and into her heart.

Willow dropped the soul, gasping for air and grabbed her chest as the soul shattered into thousands of peices like glass. Small specks of life flew up from the ground, flying into the sky. Willow dropped to her knees, lowering her head to the shattered soul on the ground. She smiled through the shadow cast on her face from her hair and the tears streaming from her eyes.

"Thank you for sharing..."

Willow picked up a fairly large piece, placing it on the gem in her choker. The shard sunk in as the gem glowed slightly brighter before. Willow picked up the remaining pieces and walked back home, wipeing her eyes of the tears.

When Willow got back CB immediately jumped up from the couch, running to her and placing his hands on her arms. "Willow! Where were you!? I got Andromeda to sleep and when I came down you were gone!!"

Willow looked up to him, her gem pulsing with light. She hugged him tightly and cried into his chest.

"Hi babby..."

How was that? The voice at the end was CB's mother speaking. I tried my hardest to describe what collecting a pure soul would be like for Willow as she's supost to let the spirit free instead of keeping it trapped. When Willow connects a shard from a soul to her necklace it bonds their minds for a short amount of time. Willow just wanted Cecilia to see her son one last time. Willow, other demons, and angels are the only other things able to see souls and can take them out of bodies at any given time. The subject either has to be dead or willingly let the thing handel their soul for a matter of time, which takes some serious trust. Take my feels. I should be sleeping right now.

If you want to know more about souls and soul collecting (as my own personal head cannon) just ask!!
