(Y/n) P.O.V.
I fire another shot into the air, silencing the people on the deck.
"OK LISTEN HERE YOU SHIT HEADS, YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE US WHAT WE WANT OR YOU CAN DIE. TAKE YOUR FUCKING PICK!" Revy screams, pointing her gun at the hostages. The 6 corporation officers look at each other before one of the men hand me a flash drive.
"Now see, that wasn't too hard was it?" I sarcastically spit at the black haired men. I swear, these company men are all the same, nothing's different about them. They have the same hair color, same clothing, same personality, same face, same everything. Looking at them gives me a headache.
"(Y/n), we don't need a second Revy, she has that job covered already." Rock shakes his head, walking onto the deck and untying the men. I ignore the former office worker and keep my attention on the hostages.
"Now, we should be nearing land by now, so you guys can go back to your boring ass lives. If you decide to run your mouths to ANYONE about this encounter, Revy and I will personally go out of our way to hunt you down and kill you. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?" I glare at the men, now untied and complaining about their wrists hurting. Pussies. They frantically nod, starting to run. Revy points her guns and shoots one of the men in both legs.
"WE NEVER SAID YOU COULD MOVE. GET BACK HERE YOU CORPORATE PIGS!" Revy shouts, snapping her head back to the black haired men. They rush back, carrying their friend as his legs are immobile. They have a hushed conversation with each other as I turn to face Revy and Rock. I sigh, putting my gun back in my holster, glaring at one of the men staring at Revy.
"What was even on that drive to make Balalaika want it so badly?" I ask, furrowing my brows.
"Who knows, I could probably take it down to Benny if you really want to know that badly." Rock says, looking over my shoulders at the men.
"I'll do a favor for you bitches and take it down for you. (Y/n), I want a pack of cigarettes for this." Revy winks and disappears under the deck. My (s/c) cheeks fade into a dusty pink as I flip her off, a scowl visibly present on my face.
"I never could understand how you tolerated her." Rock said, looking back at me.
"It's because I'm don't. Between the two of us, Revy and I's conversations are usually the reason all the medical supplies are gone." I chuckle, taking a swig from the flash tied around my waist. The army green vest over my white t-shirt hid my gun holster. A pair of jean shorts with a rope tied in the belt loops to secure the flask I carried by my side.
"You got a light?" Rock asks, looking over at me. I pull out my silver lighter and open it, lighting Rock's cigarette. A puff of smoke comes out of his mouth when he exhales. I grab the cigarette from between his fingers and take a puff. The nicotine goes into my blood stream, relieving my stress a bit. I exhale, smoke coming out from my mouth. Rock takes back his cigarette, taking another hit. We share his cigarette with only a comfortable silence between us.
"Honestly, Revy's one of my best friends, but sometimes, I want to smash her head in." I shake my head, fiddling with the trigger on my pistol. Rock chuckled, nodding in agreement.
"What about me?" He said, throwing the cigarette on the ground and stomping it out with his foot. I laughed, then sighed.
"First off, where did Mr. 'Respect Everything Including Nature' go? Second, Rock, I honestly don't know how to feel about you." I took another swig from the metal canister.
"And that means..?" He said, motioning for me to continue.
"It's complicated" I replied, giving him a 'duh' face. The boat comes to a stop. I look back at the 6 'men' and point my gun at them.
"If anyone asks where you were, you say you were on a business trip. Got it?" I say, inching my gun closer to their faces. They all nod quickly, helping the one guy up who Revy shot in the legs.
"Oh, and say you ran into some thugs if anyone asks about his legs. You can leave now." I say, waving them off. The men dash off the ship, out of the port, and probably to the nearest hospital. I sigh, looking at the sunset. The water, calm and quiet, hides more and more of the Sun as time passes. I walk to the edge of the boat and hop the gate. A bit of space in the deck is available, giving me enough room to sit comfortably. I take out my flask, taking another swig of the spiced rum.
"Hey Revy, where's (Y/n)?" I hear Rock ask. Revy is there I guess.
"You think I know you dipshit? I f you did something to her I swear to god Rock." Revy threatens. I chuckle, that's our friendship. We break each others skulls, then other people's skulls who decide to fuck with one of us. A noise comes from behind me and a figure sits next to me. Rock pulls out a cigarette and looks at me.I pull out my lighter and give him a lighter. I pull out my flask and hold it up.
"Trade you?" I laughed, shaking the metal container lightly. He took my offer, handing me his cigarette and taking the flask. I take a hit off the cigarette, leaning my head against Rock's shoulder. For a guy named Rock, he sure has a soft personality. I take another hit, more nicotine flowing into my veins. The boat starts to lurch forward, moving slowly. I take back my flask, handing him back his cigarette. I take a bit of the spiced alcohol out of the drink holder. In that moment, things weren't complicated or stressful, but just peaceful.
