Jaedrien Part 2

Hey Jo if you want more I have so much of these bois—

"Hi, Adrien," Jaeden says quietly.

"Look, I'm really sorry about earlier," I whisper back, "if you're calling to say that us being friends won't work out anymore I understand."

"Adrien." Jaeden says.

I ignore him. "It was absolutely insane of me to do, and I should've kept it to myself. I really am sorry but I understand that you're against homosexuality or something."

Again he interjected. "Adrien."

"I'll still value you very highly, no matter what! It's just... gonna be hard without my best friend."

I hear a chuckle on the other end. "Oh my god, Adrien, shut up for a moment will you? I'm not going anywhere."

"I'm just- wait what?"

"I'm still your friend Adrien. I'm the one who should be sorry. I walked away after you said that, and that must've been scary. But listen, I only did that because I was scared of facing the fact that I like you too Adrien. So, we're still friends, unless you want to be more?"

I clap a hand over my mouth. There was no way he just said that. I thought. No way.

"I mean, I would love to!" I say quickly. "What about your parents?"

I hear Jaeden sigh. "What they don't know won't hurt them."

"Jae are you sure?" I ask.

There's a pause, then he laughs. "Adrien I just nodded I'm sorry!" He laughs. "Yes I'm sure!"

I laugh quietly. "That's incredibly, hilariously cute."

I can practically hear his smirk. "Aww you think I'm cute."

"Yes." I reply quietly, hoping he wouldn't hear me.

"Thanks." Jaeden says. "You're cute too."

I blush, suddenly aware of all the pairs of eyes on me. "Uh, I gotta go, b-bye Jaeden."

"Adrien, you're going to Liv's house right?"

"Yep!" I say, looking away from everyone's prying eyes.

"Cool, I'm gonna tell Mr. Done that I'm sick, I'll be there in forty-five minutes."

"You're skipping rehearsals?" I ask incredulously.

"Yep. I think it'll be worth it," Jaeden says. "I'm in ensemble in this show anyways."

"Ok," I relent. "See you soon."

"Yeah, see ya." Jaeden says. He hangs up.

I hand the phone back to Matt, catching a glance of myself in the dark screen. I look red.

"So what happened?" Matt asks, wiggling his eyebrows. "You look like you're on fire."

I avert my gaze. "I'll tell you later."

He shrugs, opting to open Instagram instead. "Suit yourself."

Noella makes a small, indifferent noise. "But think about it, if the multiverse doesn't exist in one universe, how does it exist in others?"

Liv announces loudly, "we're here!" So I hop out of the car with relief.
