Jaedrien

(A/N): These are two of my OCs that I love if you like them too I can definitely do more lmao.

I should've known better. This whole ordeal was stupid. I was stupid. My best friend Jaeden was straight, growing up in a highly religious Christian family. Despite all that I explicitly told him that I liked him. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

"Adrien!" Somebody bellowed from down the hall. I whirled around, half expecting Jaeden to be there. It wasn't him, but instead Carson. "Dude! What's up with big and tough Jae?"

I bit my tongue. What did I say now? I decide to divulge the information to my friend. "Carson I... I told him I wasn't straight. I even said that I would date him! It was so idiotic of me!"

Carson's expression softens significantly. He places a hand on my shoulder, guiding me outside without saying a word. He pulls out his phone, typing rapidly on the screen.

"Who are you texting?" I chide, trying to peer over his shoulder.

He shrugs me off. "Noella, Livvy, Oreo, and Matt."

I grimaced. "They don't need to know about my problems."

Carson rolls his eyes. "We're just gonna chill, no big deal. Besides, you know Ollie, he's the sweetest, I'm sure he could help."

I chewed on my lip. Yes, Oliver was a kind boy, but did I need to bring him, and potentially my other friends, into this mess. I concede. "Fine. We're all on off blocks for the rest of the day anyways."

Carson smiles delicately. "See, all good buddy."

Within ten minutes the six of us stood at Livvy's car; a beat up minivan she'd gotten from her mother. She climbed in first, gesturing at us to get in. "Don't just stand there, I'll drive away!" She jests.

Carson grins. "Shotgun."

Matt laughs, and punches him playfully in the arm. "Come on! You always get shotgun!"

Noella rolls her eyes. "Guys come on, I want to go home!"

Matt shrugs, taking the seat next to her, leaving Oreo and I to take the back.

Once we start driving I turn to him. "Hey, Oliver, can I talk to you about something."

He cocks his head slightly. "Sure, sounds important. You don't usually use my real name."

I take a shaky breath and begin to speak quietly, so the rest of the chatty car couldn't hear.. "You know how Jaeden is like, insanely Christian or whatever, or at least his parents are?"

Oreo nods, his expression clearly becoming even more confused. "Yeah, why?"

"Today I told him I was gay. For like, him, if that makes sense," I lament. "And then he just walked off without saying a word. I think I screwed up big time."

Oreo's brown eyes bore into mine from behind thin wire framing and glass. I don't know what he's looking for. I'm completely sincere. Completely devastated with myself.

"Hey guys, have you ever thought that if the multiverse theory is true, then there's quite possibly a universe where it isn't?" Noella quips, turning to face us. "Woah-oh what's going on back here? Staring contest?"

I blink, snapping out of my thoughts. "No, no..."

Oreo speaks up. "You lose!"

I thank him with my eyes for playing off my mistakes, and he seems to understand.

She giggles. "Better luck next time Adrien."

From the front seat I hear Carson demonstrating how he'd won his last lacrosse game to an uninterested Liv.

Then Matt's phone rang. We all went quiet, so he could talk. "Hey, what's up?" He nodded to the person on the phone as quiet conversations sprang up again. "Mhm, I'm in the car with them- yes he's here. Ok"

"Who's that?" Livvy asks.

Matt turns around in his seat, handing me the phone. "It's Jaeden," he explains. "Said he wanted to talk to you."

I'm half tempted to throw the phone out the window, but I don't. Instead I grab it and hold it up to my ear. I can hear my voice quaver. "Jaeden... hey."
