You had ruined Thanksgiving and walked out of your parents house where you had been staying. Now, rest assured that there is a reasonable explanation. You see, things had started as any normal holiday dinner with the family. Your older (b/s) was visiting and you, having been staying with your parents during college, chatted with them.

"So, (y/n) what are you doing after college?" (s/n) asked, genuinely wishing to catch up since it had been months since you last saw each other.

"I'm going to make games and play different games on my own YouTube channel." you answered. Your (b/s) had always been supportive, so you were open with them. The atmosphere grew thick, thick enough to cut.

"(y.n) don't bother your (b/s) with such childish ambitions. If I've told you once I've told you at least a dozen times, you need to grow up and gain some practical ambitions. You'll never get through life if all you think about are games and computers. Honestly, I think you've been spending too much time with that Mark boy." your mother scolded.

"I need to grow up? I'm in college;I study nightly. I keep myself, my stuff, my room, and my records clean. I clean the kitchen nightly without being asked. I do my own laundry. I'm mature and responsible;I just want to live life without being in a job that I dread going to every day. I want a job that I wake up excited for. I wanna make people smile." you replied.

"If you want to make people smile, be a dentist." your mom told you.

"I'm in engineering that'll have an application in game creation. I have made my decision." you informed her.

"I recognize that you have made your decision but given that it is a childish decision, I have elected to ignore it." she stated. You stood from the table.

"Excuse me." you muttered before going to your room. You threw some clothes in a bag and climbed out your window onto a tree that was by your room. You climbed down the tree and wandered the streets contemplating what to do next, ultimately deciding to call your closest friend Mark. He was the first friend that you made when you went to college. Since you had been homeschooled, you weren't great at making friends, so Mark introduced you to his friends Bob and Wade. You quickly became friends with them as well. You thumbed through your contacts until you found his name and hit the call button by his it.

"Hello?" he answered.

"Hey Mark, it's (y/n)." you replied.

"Oh, hey, what's up?" he asked.

"Well..." you said before explaining.

"You can stay with me. I have plenty of room and recording equipment. You can even guest on my channel." he told you.

"Thanks Mark. You rock" you stated.

"Anything for you (n/n)"
