In which Lucy realizes somethings up when neither Loke or Aries appears as often.

"Gate of the Ram!" Lucy yelled.

...There was a pause. A few seconds passed. A minute, even. Then, finally, a flash a light and a hesitant "I'm sorry!!"

Lucy blinked at her spirit. Aries was blushing even more then usual, and looked slightly dazed.

"Are you... okay, Aries?" Lucy asked cautiously. Aries' eyes widened and she shook her head.

"I - I'm fine, I'm sorry!!" Aries yelped. Lucy raised her eyebrows but shrugged. "Alright, well, I need a little help here?" She smiled and gestured at a monster Wendy was fending off. Natsu and the others had their hands full a couple yards away.

Aries nodded and ran in to join the battle. Lucy watched her, and wondered why she'd been late. That wasn't the first time in the last few days. Lucy shrugged again and concentrated on the fight.

"Uh... Gate of the Lion? Hello?" Lucy called, frustrated. Finally, Leo - or as his friends knew him, Loke - appeared. He was grinning and practically shining. When he saw Lucy's annoyed expression, however, he bit his lip.

"Sorry, Lucy." He apologized. "I was... tied up... with someo- something. But I'm here now!" He flashed a dazzling smile to Lucy, who rolled her eyes.

"What's up with you two these days? Lucy frowned. Loke faltered. "'Two'? What do you mean?"

"You and Aries! You're always late." Lucy complained. Loke gulped and apologized again. "It's fine, and all I need is for you to destroy this boulder, but seriously. I'm gonna find out what's going on soon."

True to her promise, Lucy investigated the next day.

"Gate of the Maid! Virgo!" Lucy called. Virgo appeared immediately.

"You called, princess." She stated, bowing. Lucy waved the formalities away. "I have some things to ask." Virgo titled her head to the side, confused. "Go ahead..."

"It's about Aries and Loke."

Realization dawned in Virgo's eyes, and she nodded slowly. "Yes..."

"They never appear on time these days! Is there something going on in the Spirit Realm?" Lucy asked.

Virgo pursed her lips. "Princess, perhaps it would be easier if I show you. If you would follow me..." Lucy blinked but followed Virgo through her portal.

"Up here, princess. And be very quiet." Virgo whispered. Lucy nodded once and tiptoed behind a broken wall. Moving cautiously, she stuck her head around the corner.

Where she was met with the sight of Aries blushing furiously as Loke spoke quietly to her. As Lucy watched, Loke placed his hand on Aries' cheek and lifted her face towards his.

Lucy's eyes widened. Virgo watched from behind her, smiling slightly. Everyone in the Spirit Realm already knew, so it was funny to see Lucy react differently then all the spirits who, if they caught sight off the two, shook their heads and muttered "It's about time".

Aries refused to look directly at Loke, alternatively closing her eyes, opening them to see Loke smirking, and closing them again.

As she closed her eyes again, Loke made his move and leaned down the few inches to kiss her. As Loke's eyes closed, Aries' shot open and she flushed dark red.

Lucy, shocked, turned back to Virgo, who simply said, "They've been like this for... about two weeks, your time. I don't know why Aries is so suprised every time."

Lucy suddenly grinned. "I've seen enough. Let's go back." Virgo bowed. "As you say, princess.

The next day, when Loke was late again, Lucy just raised her eyebrows and giggled.

It took him all of five minutes to realize she'd found them out.
