The China and the... Sadist? (Gintama)
In which Kagura and Sougo get stuck in a locked room and it's so boring that Sougo comes up with a... game, for them to play.
All pleasant dreams must come to an end.
However, the ending of Kagura's dream was outright horrible. She had been sleeping on the bench in the park, her normal spot, when all of a sudden her dream twisted.
She had been fighting a giant, living lollipop and had just won (And saved the Sweet-tooth Princess, Gintoki) when a giant shadow had covered her. It was a giant chain! She had woken up quickly to see...
"Argh! Sadist, what are you doing here?!" The sadist had been leaning over her, just staring at her.
"That's creepy. Stop looking at me like that." Kagura complained.
"Sorry, China, I was trying to imagine what you would look like if you were pretty in any way. It didn't work." Mostly because you already are, Sougo added silently.
Kagura frowned at him. "I'm not pretty, I'm beautiful. Besides, when your older you'd settle for you any girl because who'd fall for you?"
"Ouch, China, that one hurt. You'll never get married with that personality." Sougo retorted. "Anyway, I'm not here to fight with you today. Boss told me to find you and bring you to this address. Said something about 'making you realize' or something." When Kagura looked confused, he continued.
"He and Glasses were saying something to each other but all I could hear was 'put together', 'you lock it', and 'won't be the same'. Then they told me to wait in the first room with you, with the door closed, until they picked you up."
He didn't say it out loud, but Sougo had a definite feeling of suspicion. Boss and Glasses had that look of complete trolling (a/n if you've seen Gintama, you know what I'm talking about) when they told him what to do. But he wasn't going to complain. The more time he could justify teasing China, the better.
Kagura didn't pick up on it. She just shrugged and motioned for him to lead the way. I wonder what will happen... Sougo thought, looking at Kagura.
***
After a little while of walking, Sougo and Kagura arrived at the place Gin had directed them to. It was an old house, and it didn't look like anyone was around. At all.
The rivals stepped into the house ("Ladies first, China pig") and entered the first room. When Sougo closed the door he heard a faint click. When he tried to open it, he found that the door was locked.
Kagura saw this and realization dawned.
"Gin-chan, why?? Why did you stick me in a room with this... this sadist?!" She cried. Somewhere in the corner of her mind she was happy, though.
Sougo grinned and started thinking. If I know Boss... he thought and checked the closet in the room.
Sure enough, inside were many things he could put to good use. A collar and chain, some dice, a robe (that one was a little odd), and some playing cards. And something else Sougo didn't think about. We won't even go that far, Boss.
It took Kagura on a few minutes of silence to crack.
"Hey, Sadist, what are you doing?" She asked curiously. He seemed to be looking at... playing cards? He stood up, a mischievous smile on his face.
"China, you wanna play a game? It's cards. If you win... I don't know, I'll do whatever you say for a while or something."
"And if you win?" Kagura asked, interested in spite if herself. Sougo produced a collar and chain and held them up.
"You have to wear this." He said conversationally. Kagura looked at it with distaste but agreed to play.
First, they played gin (pronounced jih-n, like the hard liquor. It's a card game) as it seemed appropriate.
It was a close battle, but Kagura won. Sougo chuckled to himself. First, make her think she can win. Then take it all from her.
"Okay, Sadist, you have to call me Master for the next three rounds of gin." Kagura decided. Sougo grimaced. Gah. What a role reversal. Normally it's me who's called Master. But he played along anyway.
"Yeah, yeah, Master. Deal the cards, Master." Sougo said, affecting boredness. Kagura frowned. That's strangely annoying coming from him.
They played again. Kagura won.
"Hmm... Uh... I have a pack of sukonbu here. Feed me one." Kagura asked innocently. Sougo stared at her. Crap. I can't do that. I'm a sadist at heart, I don't know what I'll do! But I have to try...
"What a boring task, Master." Sougo said blandly. As he reached forward to feed her the sukonbu, he resisted the urge to shove it down her throat. Maybe he should have because when he put his hand near her mouth she bit him. Hard.
"Oi! China, the hell was that for? And you call me the sadist." He yelped.
"Premptive revenge. I know you're gonna do something weird so I'm getting you back now."
"That was a lot of big words, Master. You sure you're alright?"
Kagura looked at him witheringly but let him deal the next round. This is it. When she puts her guard down and it seems like I'm losing, I'll win and things will change. Sougo smirked.
They played. For a while, Kagura appeared to be winning, but Sougo was the victor.
"No fair! I bet you cheated!" Kagura groaned. Wordlessly Sougo held up the collar and chain. Grudgingly, Kagura let him click the collar around her neck. (a/n just kinda think of the collar and chain from the Shinpachi's pen pal arc)
"Now say, woof."
"Wo- wait, I'm not playing your games Sadist!" Kagura stuck out her tounge and stood up. Sougo was laying lazily on the floor but he sat up. As she stood there glaring down at him, Sougo had an idea.
He suddenly pulled on the chain, knocking Kagura off balance so she fell towards him. He caught her arms so he was restraining her and kissed her.
She went limp. When he broke it off she looked at him oddly.
"What was that for?"
"It's part of my prize for winning. I get a kiss when I win."
Kagura didn't look unhappy, just thoughtful. She was silent for a time.
"You stole my first kiss, you pig."
"I figured."
After he retorted she stayed silent a little longer. The next time they played, Sougo won again. Hey, he only cheated a little bit.
Right as he was leaning in, Kagura suddenly jerked her head forward and headbutted him. Sougo massaged his aching jaw.
"I'm more used to the other way around, China. Why'd you hurt me that time?"
"Because I can tell you want to do something weird. If you're gonna kiss me, just do it normally. Stupid freaking sadist." She grumbled.
Sougo couldn't really argue, the sadist in him was struggling to manifest. But he resisted for her sake. He wanted to go slower this time and enjoy his victory over her. He'd won this game.
As much as she complained, Sougo smirked again when he noticed Kagura wasn't really trying to win anymore.
*****The end*****
That was strange to write, but there are hardly any SouGura fanfictions out there, so there. My contribution to the underrated show Gintama.
Seriously though it's one of my favorite animes.
Deuces~
