She was returning to her den

It was late and she was tired

When she walked in

Two kits popped up out of the nest

Sheepkit and Pinekit

"Toadpool!" They mewed excitedly

They weren't her own kits but she took care of them

Especially since there mother was at the gathering

"Shh Mumblekit is asleep" she told them

"And you two should be asleep" Toadpool added

"But where's our mother doesn't she love us?" Pinekit asked

Torrentflower walked in

She came to care for her younger siblings even tho she didn't have kits of her own

"If she dose she has a very unique way of showing it" Torrentflower answered

"I'm sure she dose but your father would get worried if he didn't see her" Toadpool replied

"But we're here and you care for us instead of her" Sheepkit grumbled

"Spiderstar didn't stay in the den for me either" Torrentflower told them

"And isn't our daddy in Windstormclan" Pinekit asked

"Yes Russetstar is in Windstormclan" Toadpool answered

"You two are filled with questions" Torrentflower commented
